Working 4 Meatz...Taking Back Treats??????

I have say, when it rains it pours!Troubles that is...
Not the badly needed moisture to help us this spring.
The sun didn't show its face again today. The temperature
was way less than forecast. 20 was the high. The new
cold front is rolling in tonight. The next couple days
the highs will be around 0 without the windchill.

We have had very light flurries in the past week. The
snow is so dry..there is no moisture in it. The bottle
baby is being kept in the milk-house. Where he can stay
warmer. He's a good eater and doing fine. His Mom is
eating and improving. Enough days have passed that he
will be a bottle baby. Just too hard to spike him onto
Mom now. She needs her reserves to mend....

Gpa goes and see the 1st. Doc tomorrow. He ate a 1/2
bag of Hershey Kisses for his supper. He wasn't in the
mood for anymore pudding,jell-o,tomato soup. He didn't
want plain broth. He's 1 of these guys that if it is
soup the spoon better stand up in the bowl! Really we
have Sloops at our house. They are thicker than soup
and little thinner than stews. This morning he dipped
3 chocolate chip cookies in his coffee. He's having
sugar D.T.'s big time!!!!!

Anywho...he is going to try angel hair pasta with
meatballs for supper. See how that goes???? He works
hard and is in the elements...So he has to have
nourishment. Gma tried to talk him into drinking
some Powerades....He could have had pureed foods.
He told the ER Doc,he wasn't eating baby food.....

Gma made herself stir-fried veggies and brown rice.
Gpa hates she was happy and didn't feel guilty.
We played after my supper. Did a training refresher
mini course with my venison. I sure don't know, why just
because he couldn't eat: I had to work for my meatz????

We played,we read and snuggled with the moist heatpad.
Since January has been a beast for Gma and her ritis
and fibro boys. Nothing helps except to just keep moving.
I was going to have a greenie for snack, then out of
the blue, before I started the greenie: I was gaggy
like Gpa. Then I threw up all over the rug, under the
dining room table. Gma took the greenie and put it away.
I didn't have any bedtime snack! Does this sound fair to
you?????? I had something caught...but don't know what
it was???? I was right as rain, after that! Gma said,
it wasn't sympathy pains for Gpa....too much time had
passed! I didn't mess with my breakfast this morning.
Hungry... I was starved!

We plugged along today, but nothing real major. Caught
up on some correspondence. Gma just couldn't get her
crabby old body to co-operate. In other words, it was
PLAIN BORING AROUND HERE!!! I should have rode to the
Elevator with Gpa. A trailer of grain for the calves.
Southern pals...please send warmer weather....
Catch ya later, Mazy

Thank heavens we finally got rain today in Oklahoma City! We are so very dry and we got almost an inch of rain. We are already on water rationing. Hope your gpa will get to have some solid food and he does OK with the pasta and meatballs. Stay warm Mazy and mom is having a hard time with her Arthur-itis also.

Hope your gpa gets to eat some solid food again and that your Gma feels better, too....

We got some rain today... and the shower glass guy came and put in the glass for the shower. So Momma didn't get any painting done today, but she got some cleaning done instead...

Thanks pals! So the shower is in? The bathroom almost done?
The pictures were pawsome!

Balmy -5 this morning with windchill of -25 right now. Thursday the windchill is suppose to be -50!Gma cancelled her medical for tomorrow. Being out in that kind of temperature won't help her problems. She's seriously thinking of abandoning the ranch.....Boy, we do hate winter!

We're going to bake banana bread and monster cookies. The grand-kids brought up M&M's and oatmeal. Asking for a new batch of cookies. Gma wants to make them and freeze for them before V-day for them...

Gpa goes to 1st. Doc appt. today. He did fine with speg/balls peas and toast last night. he was pretty happy to have real food. Angel hair isn't his fav. on pasta...he'd rather have the fattening lasagna....
Gma told Gpa to bring home some fresh lettuce and eggs for her. Today we are doing laundry and correspondence. Gma had another bad night,up 4 x's.
Praying Feb. is warmer, so we can go look for that new mattress.

Sounds like alot of the country is in for some peculiar weather. HD so glad you received an 1" of rain. We went into fall very dry and the snow has been very dry. We need moisture

Whitley and Finley did you try that new tubbie?????????
Petey- how are you doing with your weather?????? HD- how is Sophie? What therapy work have you been doing??????

Have a Blessed Day! Mazy

Mazy, I'm glad to hear that Gpa is doing better and is able to eat some food. Sorry you didn't get a snack last night - maybe tonight you can have two, or more...

Glad that you Gpa got to have real food Mazy. Hugs for your Gma and hopefully the cold weather will leave for good and some much needed rain will come. Sophie Claire is doing great and right now chewing on an antler! This week I went to the big hospital and made rounds and then attended the volunteer's luncheon. All of us therapy dogs get to go to the luncheons and the people always tell us we are better behaved than their grand kids> LOL. Today I went and worked with my autistic kids and they had a good time. Take care, stay warm and eat more treats!

Petey and Whitley- a big howdy this cold afternoon. At least the sun is shining......Petey- are your getting the cold or rain? Or are you in on the stormy stuff????????? Some of our pals are in on the thunderstorms and tornado stuff......

It happens when the cold northern air hit the warm southern air......BOOM a storm!
Stay safe everyone.....
