Hi Everyone,
Me, Benji & Prada are back on dogster now. Mum has decided to just have us 3 on here now because she has so much to do that she can't cope with us all on here he! he.! I hope that all my dogster friends had a great Christmas & New Year & also want to tell Scooby & his family that we have missed you all so much.
We came off because my human dad has been very poorly & he is slowly getting better now. Still has a long way to go but paws cross that he does get better very soon. I have been sitting with my dad & giving him plenty of cuddles & lots of licks to let him know that I love him so much.

The Gift of Friendship
Friendship is a priceless gift
That cannot be bought or sold,
But its value is far greater
Than a mountain made of gold
For gold is cold and lifeless,
It can neither see nor hear,
And in the time of trouble
It is powerless to cheer
It has no ears to listen,
No heart to understand,
It cannot bring you comfort
Or reach out a helping hand
So when you ask God for a Gift,
Be thankful if He sends
Nor diamonds, pearls or riches,
But the love of real and true friends.

What a couple a days we have had.
Had to get to the vets yesterday because my left leg swelled. Mum & Dad thought it was a hock attack which Shar-Pei get.
For a day they treated it as that. Overnight some blisters appeared around the hock. These started erupting & my mum & dad was cleaning them all the time.
Then yesterday morning whilst cleaning my dad showed my mum that on the inside of my leg a wound appeared around 1 1/2 - 2 inches. At this point my mum said it's a trip to the vets young girl.
When we got to the vets , the lovely vet cleaned the wound, antibotics & other tablets & a really nice nurse bangaged my leg for me with a nice pink dressing for over night. I had to have nothing to eat or drink just incase they would beable to suture together.
Well this morning my mum & dad took me back to the vets, we only had to wait 1 minute & a different vet called us in. My dad had to put me on the table where I watched the vet very carefully. (she had scissors in her hand) Phewwwwwwwwwwww they was only to cut the bandage off. When the bandage was off everyone was starting to look at my leg. Overnight the infection had got so bad the skin around this wound had started to die. The wound now measured about 4 inches long x 1 1/2 - 2 inches wide! Straight away the vet told mum & dad I had to be admitted. My poor mum had tears in her eyes but she knew it was the best thing to do.
My mum & dad had to ring 5 hrs later to see if the nice vet was able to do anything. When they rang to see how things where going the receptionist said I was all done but the vet wanted to see them. They said they could be there in 10 minutes if that was ok with the vet,( it was). 10 minutes later mum & dad was there. The vet called them in & told them what he had to do. The first bit of good news for my mum & dad was, all this was not because of a hock attack. It was actually caused by either a bite or a wound which would have been tiny 2 weeks ago.
Apparently they sedated me as they had to empty the infection/pus from the top & bottom of my leg. Then clean the whole inside of the wound, cut away all the dead flesh. Finally suture as much of the wound that they could, without over stretching the skin. The really nice vet who did all this for me has done a fantastic job in doing this. He as managed to close the whole wound except a diamond shape of about 1/2 inch. Mum & Dad couldn't believe how small he had managed to get the wound.
Now I'm back at home with the family. I have an even bigger bandage this time which covers my whole foot & leg (it blue I don't like blue). I have different pain killers, different antibotics & have to go back on Friday.
I would like to thank the vet Emanuel Lonutescu for taking good care of me :)
I am resting now & need to rest for a few weeks which isn't hard for me. I'm so laid back & love my sleep.
Will keep you all updated
Pei hugs Bella x
