My Happy New Year wish for you
Is for your best year yet,
A year where life is peaceful,
And what you want, you get.
A year in which you cherish
The past year’s memories,
And live your life each new day,
Full of bright expectancies.
I wish for you a holiday
With happiness galore;
And when it’s done, I wish you
Happy New Year, and many more

Love & hugs

If I Didn't Have A Dog...Or Cat......

If I Didn't Have A Dog...Or Cat......

I could walk barefoot around the yard in safety.

My house could be carpeted instead of tiled and
laminated.

All flat surfaces, clothing, furniture, and cars would
be hair-free.

When the doorbell rings, my home wouldn't sound
like a kennel.

When the doorbell rings, I could get to the door without
wading through all the fuzzy bodies who beat me there.

I could sit on the couch and my bed any way I wanted,
without having to take into consideration how much
space several fur bodies need to get comfortable.

I would have enough money, and no guilt, to go on
a real vacation.

I would not be on a first-name basis with 6 veterinarians,
as I put their yet unborn grandkids through college.

The most used words in my vocabulary would not be:
"out," "sit," "down", "come," "no," "stay," and "leave it ALONE.

My house would not be cordoned off into zones with baby gates
and makeshift barriers.

I would not talk 'baby talk'. 'Eat your din din'. 'Yummy
yummy for the tummy'..

My house would not look like a day care center, with toys everywhere.

My pockets would not contain things like poop bags, treats
and an extra leash.

I would no longer have to spell the words B-A-L-L,
W-A-L-K, T-R-E-A-T, O-U-T, G-O, R-I-D-E, S-U-P-P-E-R,
V-E-T And C-O-O-K-I-E.

I would not have as many leaves INSIDE my house as
outside.

I would not look strangely at people who think having
ONE dog/cat ties them down too much.

I'd look forward to spring and the rainy season instead
of dreading them as 'mud' season.

I would not have to answer the question: 'Why do you
have so many animals?' from people who will never know the joy
of being loved unconditionally by the closest thing to an angel
they will ever encounter.

How EMPTY my life would be!!!

A Friend's Prayer

A Friend's Prayer
© Jill Wolf, sent by Wendy Hinson

May my friendships always be
The most important thing to me;
With special friends I feel I'm blessed,
So let me give my very best.
I want to do much more than share
The hopes and plans of friends who care;
I'll try all that a friend can do
To make their secret dreams come true.
Let me use my heart to see,
To realise what friends can be,
And make no judgements from afar,
But love my friends the way they are.

"What a Wonderful World"

"What a Wonderful World"
So many different greens to see -
so many shades of blue;
And now that summer flowers bloom -
colours of every hue.
Beebalm, bells, lavender & lilies,
poppies and pinks galore;
Phlox and marigold, clematis and zinnias,
and roses - what beauty in store!
Geraniums that rested on window shelves
all winter long
Now grace my garden in corals and reds -
they almost burst into song.
Bees and humming-birds visit each bloom
and I hear their notes of joy.
Perfume melded from all around
is a scent that doesn't annoy.
To touch the petals so soft and sheer
is to touch the garments of queens;
A selection of nature's blooms in a vase
is befitting any room, any means.
Song birds flit from the sturdy maple
to the spruce so tall and blue;
Singing from the highest tip -
soprano notes so true.
Even the dog sniffs a bright-orange bloom
as she walks through the gate;
What a miracle summer - in nature's dress -
all year for this we wait.
I see the kitten under the tree -
in a garden chair, is curled.
As I look about I breathe a prayer,
"Oh God - What a Wonderful World!"

How January Is Propelled To Spring

How January Is Propelled To Spring

Chill January’s snow falls thick and fast
Propelled by blinding blizzard’s biting blast,
So soft white blankets bind the earth for days,
Though spring means drifts shall not lie long nor last.

Bleak January’s rain falls hard and long
Impelled by fierce Atlantic gales, full strong
So even mighty oaks bow in their wake
Till fury fades to calm in spring’s sweet song.

Wild January’s storms shall shed their sting,
Repelled by sun, as winter spins to spring,
So kinder, temperate breezes gently blow
To melt the snow, that all the fields can sing.

Mean January’s curse will never stay,
Dispelled by hopes of ever-lengthening day,
So gardens don spring coats of cheerful hues
As colour’s charm returns where all was grey.

Cruel January’s cloak of white shall yield,
Compelled to turn to green in springtime’s field,
So leaping lambs can clothe the hills again
And cattle quit the comfort of the bield.

Grim January’s gloom will end, by mirth
Expelled, as warmth returns to cheer the earth,
So birds will nest and leaves begin to spring
And dormant buds burst, bearing brand-new birth.

Harsh January’s coldness is compelled
To change, as dismal drabness is expelled.
Repelled by spring, impelled, the frost must flee;
So, doubts dispelled, to warmth we are propelled.

Not a happy girl today ........... Mum put me out in the rain, how dare she :( It has been raining hard all night & day.
I hadn't been out since last night and just after my dinner which was 5pm, mum shouted to me to go out for to my business. I looked at her & she could tell that I was annoyed with her. In the end I went out. I tried to hide under the gutters but the rain was still getting me grrrrrrrrrrrr. So in the end quickly ran on the grass did my #1 & tried to run in. Mum said NO BELLA go & do the rest. I ran round the corner of the house & mum came round & watched me to make sure I that I did my #2. OMD do you know mum it's raining, I am doing it can you go away now so I can do it in peace. What are our pawrents like.
If she thinks I'm going out again she has another thing coming. If it stops raining maybe then lol.

Have a great day
Love happy Bella now in the house
