   Leave a bone for Dakota

Koda, Sunny, Buxton, North

Quick Bio:

November 1st 2004

I love to play with my 2 brothers, eat, drink and sleep - I sound like the typical male, don't I? :)

My brother Boston, trying to sit on me - hey, I know I am still a puppy, but I know you can see me

Favorite Toy:
My human and a squeaky toy

Favorite Food:
the spread that my human puts out is great - I get my own food, my own dish and my private room to eat - it is like going to a 5 bone restaurant!!

Favorite Walk:
I only have been walked once so far, I mostly have been driven around by mu human

Best Tricks:
my human said that I am super smart because I know how to do this thing called, "sitting" - what's that - whatever - i get treats when I do it - so I'll keep it up

Arrival Story:
I hear about DOGSTER from a co-worker and after signing up my other 2 dogs, I just was looking through PETFINDER when I saw a dog in Iowa. The only problem is that they were having a blizzard that dumped 12 inches of snow there and there was no way I was going to get down there to get this dog for a week. I kept on looking and found 4 puppys from pet haven of mpls and I thought that the blonde puppies were AWESOME. I had to go look. I went to the next adoption days at PETSMART and I am the lucky receipent of invitation to the mpls police department fund raiser. I was going slightly over the speed limit and a $130 speeding ticket later (ouch), I arrived at the location. I thought that the puppies were great but I also felt that someone was trying to tell me something about getting another dog, so I left the adoption day without a puppy. I continued to think about the puppy and found myself looking at the petfinder ad while at work and I decided to email and see if he was still available. I filled out the paperwork and spoke with the foster mom and set up an appointment to pick up the dog. Changed his name to Dakota (it fit perfectly with his brother's names - I was thinking of "Coda" - the musical term but then the foster mother asked if I was abbreviating Koda for Dakota - hmm - never thought about it - thank you for the idea Maggie.

Dakota is such an AWESOME dog - very smart and calm but still playful. He is a great passenger is the car - just curls up and sleeps of looks around. "Tuffy" was part of an unwanted litter born on 11-16-04. His mom was Border Collie/Golden Retriever x; dad was unknown.

I've Been On Dogster Since:
