I was on a mini break!

Mummy went off to England on Wednesday morning and came back earlier so she dropped me over to Nana and Granddad's where I stayed 3 nights! I had a pawsome time! Lots of walkies and belly rubs and kisses and stuff.

Mummy always packs my Spongebob Squarepants rucksack with everything I need for my mini breaks. Little treats and my Choc drops and other basic provisions. And a cooked chicken in the local store on the way over.

Anyway, Mummy collected me earlier and now I'm at home snoozing under our Christmas tree. I had to have a snooze earlier on Mummy's bed to recouperate after all my guard dog duties in Nana and Granddad's.

Life is tough (turns over on her snuggly blankie to reach for a Choc drop....)

I nearly died but for the hind lick manoeuvre!

Seriously! I nearly died! Mummy was workIng from home and we were just heading out for our lunchtime walk when I started choking in the hallway.
Mummy had read an article about how to deal with this so she felt around my mouth to see if amything was stuck in there but she could find nothing. She remembered to lift me up by my back paws in case anything would come out but nothing. By now my cute lil' eyes were flickering and I was passing out! Then Mummy put her arms round my tum tums and pulled real hard and I threw up, and was able to breathe again! Thank you Mummy for reading that article! Hope all other pawrents know what to do too!

Mummy is BARKING!

Barking mad, that is! I have seen her do some strange things in my time, but this morning she was sitting in front of a mirror plucking whiskers off her face!!!!! Weird or what? I mean, we all know how important our whiskers are, right? We use them in long grass and stuff. And it might just be a weird family thing but I was standing at the top of the stairs in Nana and Granddad's one day and I'm pretty sure Granddad was taking his whiskers off too - he was holding a noisy whirry thing in his hand and rubbing it all over his chin! I did have an opportunity to sniff and lick at his chin later and it felt very smooth. Do any other doggies have weird hooman families like mine? Is there help available?

Which brings me onto a theory I've been developing. I could never understand why neither Mummy, Nana or Granddad were particularly keen on rolling around in the long grass with me, 'specially when it's wet (which in my opinion is the bestest time!) but now I think it's cos they don't have whiskers to guide them through all the dangers lurking in the long grass which we doggies use our whiskers to avoid. These hooman peoples are just big scaredy kitty cats!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my pals all the way across the 'lantic Ocean. Mummy says you'll all be getting treats and Meatz and stuff all day! Will you get TURKEY? And HAM? Ooooooh, I can't bear it!!!!!!

On another note, I had my first close-up encounter with a kitty cat last night. Mummy kept me on my leash and we sniffed each other and Mummy says I was very good cos I didn't chase her or nothin. In fact I ENJOYED sniffing the kitty cat. Is there something wrong with me? Maybe the thought of turkey and ham has affected my brain or sumfin?????

Hallowe'en Trip to Ireland postponed

Pupsie pals, I am very sorry to announce that our planned trip to Ireland has been postponed due to that big storm thing that came in across the 'lantic ocean - I'm afraid to say the leprechauns just weren't prepared to drive their magical bus across to collect you all! But Cleo! I thought you said that was a magical bus that could magically appear in all your pupsie pals' back yards and collect them to bring them to Ireland? Yes Mummy, but....em.....Looney O'Leprechaun himself told me that the weather conditions weren't condusive to driving his magical bus, and his insurance doesn't cover him driving 'cross oceans when it's stormy like that. If any of the doggies were to lose their stash of meatz or treats or choc drops or anything he wouldn't be able to pay them back. And I'm so disappointed cos I spent so much time while you were away working out all the finer details over in nana and Granddad's. Are you sure Cleo? What do you mean Mummy? Well everytime I spoke to Nana while I was away you were either out walking with them or curled up beside your granddad, I saw photos of you too! Mummy! Are you insinuating that the reason I am postponing this event is because I was lazing around while you were away and not working on my trip of a lifetime for my pals? Really!

Hope my doggie friends are safe!

Mummy was away for the weekend with her friends but she's back and we're in bed watching the big storm on CNN, she says she hopes all my doggie pals and pawrents are keeping safe! X

Oh my dogness! I cannot believe that I have been selected by those lovely pawrents at Dogster again for my meanderings! And I haven't even been on here much, due to my Mummy abandoning me and taking her laptop with her - I've been so busy looking after my Nana and Granddad! Thanks Dogster! BOL!

I am working on the itinerary for your trip to Ireland for an unforgettable experience of Irish magic and mayhem. Mummy has been so busy with her new job that I barely get on the interweb thing these days. She's going to that foreign country that is England on Sunday for 3 days so I will have time to put it together while I'm staying with Nana and Granddad...

Been soooooo busy!

Oh pupsie pals, I haven't even had time to write my diary in ages in ages! Partly cos Mummy started a new job and she's on that laptop thing a lot, and partly cos I'm so busy looking after my two households!

I've been so busy! I've been spending my time equally between my house and Nana and Granddad's. FACE-UP has also been busy with an increasing workload of cases involving pets taking actions against parents who are having SOCIAL LIVES and not spending time with them!!

I am trying to put a Hallowe'en trip together for my buddies to reflect Ireland's unique reputation for great ghost stories! So banshees, poookas and other ghostly beings will be on the menu! I need to think about that, will post the itinerary soon!

Cleo’s thank you message to her loyal subjects (sorry,- good friends) on Dogster

Cleo. Are you ready? I need to get ready to go out! I hope this message you want to dictate isn’t too long! Hang on a sec Mummy, just scribbling a few notes ! Ok, here goes.
Ahem! (clearing throat). Unaccustomed as I am to public speaking, I have just put together a few words of thanks to all my pals on Dogster who sent me good wishes and gifts on this, my special Dog of the Day day. To Hershey and Winkie who sent me a beautiful gold crown which befits my royal name and bearing. It was glittering in the sunshine as I was reclining on the decking earlier. To Zoe, who also sent me a gold crown along with some sort of strange leaping dog that made my head spin in the sunshine. I had to transfer Hershey and Winkie’s crown to one of my ears and wear Zoe’s crown on the other ear, they were like a giant pair of glittering gold earrings. To Pepper, who sent me a really pretty pink rosette which I attached to my collar and which looked beautiful with my gold earrings. To Zaidie, who not only sent me a gold cup, but also sent me a huge big slab of meatz. To Fizzy, who also sent me a gold cup. I had fun sitting on the decking eating my meatz and admiring myself from all angles between my two beautiful shiny gold cups, wearing my big gold glittering earrings and my rosette. To Lexi's family who sent me a beautiful red rose. It smelt absolutely divine while I was sitting on the decking admiring myself between my gold cups with my glittering earrings on and eating my meatz. To Angel Whisper and Dixie who sent a pretty little ladybug that I had fun watching crawling around on the patio. To Sammy Jo, Toby Jo, Cory Jo and Joey Jo, who sent me a beautiful cool ice cream! And last but not least – to Scooter, Misty, Mr Cutter and Pepper who sent me, Cleo, a gold bone! So as you can imagine, I have been rather busy admiring my gold crown earrings and pink rosette in my 2 gold cups while enjoying meatz, an ice cream and a gold bone and watching a little red ladybug exploring my patio. Time for a snooze I think!
Oh yeah, happy birthday Mummy. Sorry I can’t go to your special meal in the restaurant but until you get the house insurance amended to include my crowns, gold cups, rosette, red rose, leaping dog, ice cream, gold bone, meatz and ladybug I ain’t going nowhere!!!
