Oh pupsies, I am so excited! I do not think I will get a single wink of sleep tonight! Tomorrow night, Santa Paws is coming all the way to my Nana and Granddad’s house to bring my sweeties, treats, sweeties, squeaky toys, sweeties, sweeties, and sweeties!
Mummy an’ me always go over to Nana and Granddad’s on Christmas Eve and have two sleeps there, then we come back to our own house on St. Stephen’s Day. So in the morning, Mummy will be packing the car up with my Spongebob Squarepants mini-break bag, lots of pressies, her clothes an’ stuff, Oh, and my Santa hat, her Santa hat, her wine for da Dwip, an’ lots of other junk an’ stuff. Then this is when all the hard work in the preparation for the Santa Paws event starts. I don’t even have time to greet my Nana and Granddad an’ give ‘em kisses an’ stuff. First, I sniff up the chimney to make sure it looks clear. Then I bark up there in case any of da birdies are thinkin’ of spendin’ da Christmas holidays in my Nana and Granddad’s chimney. Then after that, I bark at Mummy to hang my Christmassy stocking up over my bed in the kitchen. Before going for a tour of the garden and general environs to make sure there is nothing blocking Santa Paws an’ his reindeers an’ sleigh an’ stuff from landing on the chimney. An’ then, I prepare the snacks for Santa an’ all the reindeers. I’m giving him extra this year ‘cos I’m pretty sure he dipped into my sweeties last year. Mummy says it’s cos I was just eating more of them but I’m not so sure. Nana lends me her apron with the little doggies on it that I bought her for the Santa Paws snack preparation.
I know Nana, Granddad and Mummy will be disappointed that I can’t spend as much time as usual having my ears tickled by Granddad, my back rubbed by Nana and being played with by Mummy. But I really will be so busy!
Oh, did you know that there is a legend in Ireland that all animals can speak hooman on Christmas Eve night? Well of course we can speak hooman, it’s just that we choose not to! I can converse fluently in English and Irish (Gaelic) and my French is coming on quite well too.

Wishin you a super duper Christmas Cleo!
I hope you get lots of chocolate drops and stuffies in your Christmas stocking.
I too speak fluent human but choose not to do so since the humans haven't bothered to learn even one word of canine.
