Shaking hand and generally looking cute
Yong-Mi (or Omi) had quite a life, or so I heard. She was given to a Korean, who was living in Indonesia, bringing her and her brother Yong-Sen. When the Korean returned, the dogs were left in Indonesia. Yong-Sen died and Omi got close to it, but she was given to us and has been "happy ever after" since.
Yong-Mi seems to have a genetic tendency towards kidney failure in her family. Her brother Yong-Sen died of it, and she also has it as of now. Thankfully, her illness was not too severe by the time it got found out, and she still maintains relatively normal health. She is also neutered at an early age, before she came into our hands.

I despise cats. Normal Cat mostly, but my old nemesis Garfield too. I just saw Garfield walking past the house next door. Drives me crazy, thinking that I just went inside the house after getting bored watching Mama plucking weeds.
I'm not sleepy any more, but I still want to sink my teeth into those cats' manes. Maybe if I keep on making small howling noises, Jessie will leave her research of Jack the Ripper, come down and take me for a cat-chasing caper.
I am still on the lookout for Norman/Norma/Normie/Normal Cat. If you see him/her/hir/it, call me.

How extraordinary. I just started my diary, and here I have something brewing on in my life. Seems like I have a plot!
So last night, there is this insolent cat - one that Jessie calls, I think, the "Normal Cat" for its white underbelly and grey fur. Well, problem is, kitty-cat decided to attack me when Jessie was just taking me for my lovely stroll. Dog, how I hate that insolent creature! We fought, Normal Cat bit my ears and face, and I bit Normal Cat too. (If he's male, he's Norman. If she's female, she's Norma. But I don't care!)
I managed to defend myself until Normal Cat had to escape for fear of my next bites. But were the Family worried! Mama called the vet today; he's decided to give me the misery of five days eating medicine, three times a day, no less! Says it's to make sure I don't get infected. But I won't! See this scar right here, up my right eye? It used to hurt much more.
Papa's mad at Normal Cat right now. He says he'll take something and kill the cat, but the rifle's too noisy so maybe he'll snipe it with a bamboo, Indian style. Jessie is too worried with my health. She strokes me much more now. Don't tell anyone, but I like the attention. She even feeds me in my bed!
Beware, Normal Cat. Beware the revenge of Yong-Mi the First! But now, I just want to sleep. A lot.

Greetings, to all dogs and humans and whatnot alike. I am Yong-Mi, living under the alias as Omi, and I am a Kishu dog. The second Kishu on Dogster, incidentally. And this is the story of me.
I live in a house with three human friends - Papa, Mama, and Jessie. I also have no other animal friends in the house. There are multiple cats in the neighbourhood to chase around with Papa and Jessie, including my arch-nemesis, Garfield. And of course, there's the noisy little black dog across the street. I vow I shall spray him with Jessie's garden hose someday.
I love to go out to have walks and chase cats, and also to play ball in the house. Living here is so much better than in my old places - here, I eat chicken liver instead of cassava. Yuck, cassava...
Now, I must leave. There are cars passing to watch at the window and Mama to play cute to. But I shall return with news - especially when the day comes that Papa allows me to go along when he rides his motorcycle. I love that motorcycle...
