Arrival Story:
I've had dogs since I was 12. When I moved out, none of the family dogs got to come with me. I had read a lot about Greyhounds and knew I wanted one. When my sister gave me yet another greyhound book, I couldn't stand it, and went looking to adopt. I went to Greyhound Friends (near where we live), to look for one. When we arrived and talked to the ladies there, they said they had one perfect for us. With Timber in the back of my Jeep off I went. I was able to take him with me to the doctor's office I worked in. There he'd sleep in the office and occasionally get up to greet patients that he knew wanted to visit with him. After having him for a year, my job changed and he could no longer come with me work. This made Timber very sad and he had quite a lot of separation anxiety. After a lot of reading, and trying various things, I decided on getting him a sister to keep him company during the day. Since then really came out of his shell and no longer suffers from separation anxiety. He's a very happy boy!

Bio:
Timber's racing name is Red Zion. If any one knows of his litter mates or half siblings we'd love to hear about them. Timber was retired before ever racing because he broke his leg. A lot has happened since my Mama helped me blog.

I ended up spending a few months in Tennessee with my Auntie and Uncle while my Mama took a couple of work contracts out west. She came back home and picked me up the summer of 2007.

In February 2008 my whole family moved out to Salt Lake City where we lived for a year. It was greyt there. We went on the Sunday morning walks in Liberty Park with a bunch of other greyhounds, we went hiking in Tanner Park that was just around the corner from where we lived, and the BEST part was our big fenced in back yard. There was a tree for shade and lots of places to dig in the dirt!

We also got to drive down to Kanab, Utah for the Greyhound Gathering that Cynthia has every year. That was a lot of fun! We enjoyed seeing the beautiful red rocks and desert, watched the parade of greyhounds, won two bottles of my Mama's favourite doggie shampoo (Bo Dereks!)

In February 2009 we all relocated again, but to Seattle. We were lucky to find a place to rent that has a fenced in yard and allowed us greyhounds. Since then we've visited Discovery Park, Green Lake Park, gone camping on Long Beach where we enjoyed running on the beach, went camping up in B.C. and checked out Mt. St. Helens last weekend.

We really like it here because it's cool enough most of the time to go for long walks in the neighborhood. This weekend is exciting because we're going to get to meet another greyhoud and hang out! My Mama made tasty cheese and carrot "Pup cakes" and yummy whole wheat dog crackers.

I'll be turning ten this November! I can't believe how fast time flies when I'm having fun!

Hi every one,

I am in need of a foster home for myself and sister, Graziella. My mamma has a great opportunity to work out in Utah for 10 months and needs someone to give us a foster home for the time she's out west. She loves us very very much and doesn't want to give us up. She does however need homes for us. So if anyone is interested in loving me and my sister for a short period of time, we would be so appreciative. She won't be making much money out there so she doesn't know for sure if she can send money for dog food, but if she can she will try.

Any way, please cross your paws for us that we can find a home in time.

The Paw House is the BEST!

This weekend was one of the most fun weekends that I've had as a pet. My parents took me and the pack to The Paw House in West Rutland Vermont. The Paw House is the coolest bed and breakfast that cater's to doggies and their humans! Not only were we allowed, we were welcomed! They made us yummy PeaMutt butter dog cookies, had complimentary doggie day care for when our humans went out for dinner, and a really nice fenced in play area with agility equipment!

My family had the room called "Spot" we had our own separate enterance and a really nice latticed in porch with a swing my humans liked very much. I liked the porch because I could look over the gate and watch things. It was especially funny when this irresponsible lady let her dog off leash in an area she wasn't supposed to. Her dog came over to sniff the bushes and I made a surprise attack behind the lattice work! Her dog didn't even know I was there, hee hee! It was almost like being an invisible dog or a spy dog.

The people that run the B&B were really nice too. I hope we get to go back again soon!
