Likes:
MooMoo loves taking naps, having her belly and neck rubbed, playing with her Kong or other toys, following daddy around, going for rides to grandma's house, and giving kisses

Pet-Peeves:
Getting a bath, seeing the broom or vacuum cleaner, seeing her cat brother Merlin getting attention (just a little jealous!)

Favorite Toy:
Kong or any squeaky/stuffed toy - sometimes she drops a toy in front of Merlin, waiting for him to play, too (sometimes even Merlin's own toy!)

Favorite Food:
Hill's Prescription Diet (potato and venison - wet and dry) is her primary food since she's been diagnosed with IBD (irritable bowel disease). We just started giving her Purina Gentle Snackers as an occasional treat.

Favorite Walk:
Checking the mail

Best Tricks:
Sit, stay, shake hands, high five, off, catch, and leave it (most times!)

Arrival Story:
MooMoo is a Husky mix (not sure whether she's actually Alaskan or Siberian) and was born across the street from her future daddy back in Tucson, AZ. She was the only red and white puppy in the litter - all her brothers and sisters were black and white. Her daddy brought her home "just to show her off" and then ended up keeping her. But by doing so, he actually saved her life. When MooMoo's daddy asked about the other puppies a few days later, he found out that all but one in the litter were given away and the one puppy that was left behind was put to sleep since the owners couldn't find anyone to take it. Needless to say that we were very upset about that, but very thankful that daddy picked up MooMoo when he did - we are definitely lucky to have her! As for her name, that came about after her colors were first described as brown and white, like a baby cow - our little MooMoo - and the name stuck!

Bio:
MooMoo lives with her cat brother Merlin - she just loves to chase him around the house. She plays fetch with her toys and likes to hide them under her dog bed then "dig" her toy back up again, moving her dog bed around like a little rhino. MooMoo hardly barks - which is a good thing! She gets very excited around people and other dogs and will whine until she's able to meet them. =)

I have a new sister!

Hi, everyone!

I have a new sister - her name is Naomi! Isn't she gorgeous? Another princess in the house - hooray!

She came to live with us a little over two weeks ago. She still runs away and hides whenever she sees me but hopefully she'll get used to me. She had the advantage of not wearing a collar for a little while and she would sneak downstairs to check things out while I was napping. But now she has a pretty green collar with charms so now everyone knows where she is - BOL!

Since Naomi is new to Catster, it would be great if your cat brothers, sisters, and friends stopped by her page and made friends with her. Thanks!

Annual Vet Visit - New Vet

I had my annual vet visit with a new vet a couple of weeks ago and everything went well. Momma and Daddy switched vets since this office is a lot closer than the old one.

The great news is that I gained 5 lbs since May - whoo hoo! Momma, Daddy, and the vet were very happy by that. I've been a good girl eating my dry and canned food so I'm bulking up quite nicely.

The vet also wants to try cutting my meds a little so now I'm taking 1/2 a pill of the Azathioprine every other day.

We just had a 2 week follow-up visit and I haven't had any reaction to my lower meds so I'm continuing to take that dosage and remain on my current diet.

I also gained another pound - I now weigh43.3 lbs - almost back to my normal weight.

And would you believe that I was able to have a taste of peanut butter??!! At the vet's office??!! That was the best part of my visit! The vet also gave Momma and Daddy a list of foods to try and slowly re-introduce me to and check my reaction.

I'm so excited about having peanut butter again - can't wait for another taste!

Gidget, the Taco Bell dog that starred in the famous tv commercials, passed away last night at the age of 15. She lived a long life - may she rest in peace. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family.
