Birthday: April 4th 2006 Bio: A family brought Boomer, their 4 yr old English Pointer into a clinic in Saskatoon be euthanized. The reason…. they bought him to be a hunting dog, and he can’t hunt. So they don’t want him. He has a tattoo, but it is not a CKC tattoo, and it cannot be linked back to the breeder. The vet tech says the owner kept Boomer in a cement run outside, so he is not house trained. Boomer will do his business outside, when taken for a walk on a leash. This poor guy needs basic training and lots of love. His is a friendly and outgoing when meeting new people and other dogs. He has shown no aggression when having his teeth checked, being touched all over ,and having his tail pulled .The staff at the clinic said , he will bark ,walk in circles, and shred his blanket if left in a kennel. This is from lack of exercise and boredom and he should be a great family dog if he gets the attention he needs. An active family that would be willing to put the time and training into giving this wonderful boy a new home and lots of love would be ideal for Boomer. Boomer will be neutered before adoption.
