Momma's feeling kind of sad tonight, pups. Grammy's chemo starts tomorrow. She's been leaking on and off all night. She says she knows it will help Grammy get rid of the cancer, but she's still scared and sad. When Grammy loses her hair we're all gonna be leaking :(

I pawrayed fur your grammy, Fizzy. The chemo is something you have to go THROUGH, which means you come out the other side. I'm glad your grammy has all of you to go through it with her. Give her lots of licks and wags, it will make her smile and stop leaking!

Fizzy, tell your mama and grammy that chemo doesn't always make the hairs fall out. We've seen lots of peopoles who haven't lost their hairs when they're on chemo. And like the Z-pup says, they've got cute wigs and cute little hats and scarves to wear! Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers and sending you lots of love and comforting hugs.

Fizzy, I sawed a moofie one time at that shelter with the othfur pupses. It were called "FINDING KEMO" and it were kind of scary, cause the little fishie gotted lost, and big sharky guys and bad kidses were after the fishes, and Kemo couldn't find him's fambly. But there were funny parts, too, and then at the end, evfurryone were reunited and Kemo lived happily evfur after. SO NO SADS! NO NEED FOR LEAKING! BACON Promise you, evfurrything are gonna be allright.

What's that, Mama? HUH? Bacon don't understands.

Sorry, Fizzy, Bacon are confoosed. Mama says to be strong, and brave, and know that we are all making prayers for you, for your Mama, your Grammy and the whole fambly. We wuff you!

Aw pups, you all have no idea how your words make Momma feel. Isn't it amazing that this little blue box thing Momma uses every day can bring so much comfort? From people and pups we've never even met in person! Dog people are special people, Momma tells me this ALL the time.

Austin and Doo's Momma, unfortunately, the kind of chemo Grammy is getting WILL make her hairs all fall out. The nursies already told her that. BUT, it will ALL GROW BACK once she's done with the chemo! She's already ordered a pretty wig, too!

Bacon, you almost made Momma peeps her pants...it took her a minute to realize what you were talking about!! Finding Kemo...HEE!!

You pups and your peoples...you'll never know how you raised Momma's spirits today. Thanks friends.

Sorry, Fizzy!! You know how silly he is! Bacon got "Kemo" and "Nemo" confoosed. Mom says he's just a little boy so we gotta cut him some slacks.

Wuff and hugs to you, Grammy, and Mama! POP!!

A quick note from growlmy,on a borroeded'puter...why she seems to get on a lot of borrowed puters,lately...
When growlmy was on chemo, and she too lost all her hair...there was a good thing...she couldn't have any bad hair days! BOL!
(And in case your wondering...she saved some time, too cause she didn't have to shave like those 2-legged ladies often,do...uh...is that another BOL!,growlmy?!)
Oh and another thing...do not shave your head when the hair starts to fall out, or you will make your scalp prone to irritationa nd even acne like pipmples and ingrown hair follicles. Better to cut it very short, instead...that is what my growlmy did. She did shampoo her scalp when she showered, she used T-gel on it,cause she had a very itchy/scaly scalp abnd that was soothing and helpful.

Even though we am not at home we are very much thinking and praying for you, your family and esp, your grammy.

God will be with you as you start this new and scary journey. The first couple af treatment are the hardest, not for the side effects, but because you don't know what the routine and things will be...it gets easier as you get familiar with that part of it.

May God grant you peace and much comfort during this time, may you feel His closeness surround you like a big hug.

Hugs♥
Woofs!

Miss Ingrid, Momma wants to know if it's ok to use clippers to shave Grammy's head when the time comes. Like, you know, clippers like she uses to cut Daddy's hair really short. Is that ok?

Thanks for your nice words. Momma's trying SO HARD to be upbeat and positive for Grammy, but sometimes it gets to be too much. That's what she has ME for!

Clippers are OK if you don't cut too close/short to the skin. Leave about 1/4 to 1/2 inch...when that hair falls out, the loss is not that messy or horrifying as finding a pillow full of hair...

Hugs!
