Lions & Bears...Oh my!

My person says I am the best dog in the world!! When we went on our forest trek yesterday I knew something was not quite right. I sat down in the middle of the path & stared. Icould smell something bad, but my person couldn't. Silly woman walked around me & told me to come. I replied with a low rumbly growl, telling her she was an idiot to keep going. Thank dog she trusts me. She grabbed a big stick, leashed my little brother & we hightailed it out of the woods a different way. She made tons of noise & I made sure whatever it was did not come after us from behind. Since I like to chase the bears she thinks it may have been a cougar. Not sure what that is, but she says it's a huge cat!
