Arrival Story:
I bought my home in June 2009. My family always had a dog or dogs when I was growing up. After my fiance moved in with me, I thought what could be a more perfect addition to our little family than a pet. I have always been fond of PittBulls. Especially since they are so misunderstood. So I began asking around to see if anyone knew someone who might have a puppy I could buy or adopt. My fiance's supervisor called me one day, and told me that her brother had a 1 1/2 year old Pittbull that he was willing to give to a good home. i decided to go out and take a look at Dre, and fell in love with him at first sight. His coloring, his personality were both just perfect for us. Two weeks later we brought him home, and he has been a spoiled little brat ever since.

My 2 year old Pitbull, Dre, constantly goes to the bathroom in his cage. I think it's a domination thing, like he is telling me he is gonna do what he wants when he wants. He also poops in the house. I was told he was house broken when I got him 4 months ago, however I have found this to be inaccurate. I was also told he gets along just fine with other dogs, however, a friend of mine brought his 10 week old puppy over, and Dre tried to eat him so to speak. I have never had a pitbull quite this stubborn. Not to mention I think he may have been abused by his previous owner. He is very skittish, and flinches anytime you move quickly. He is afraid of garbage bags, pop bottles, and just about anything else that makes noise. Again I have never dealt with this type of behavior before, however I don't really know how to deal with or remedy it. Anyone who might have some insight for me to deal with these issues, the info would be greatly appreciated. I love my dog with all my heart, but the behavior and stress are really starting to test my patience.
