Arrival Story:
My name is Whiskey. It is a big name for me now, but I plan on growing into it soon. My parents decided that it was time for a dog. I guess the fish were not enough company. My mom had always wanted a dog like me as soon as she saw her first one over ten years ago! She told me that she knew "it was worth the wait" once she met me. Right now I am not doing too much except a lot of sleeping and exploring. I do love to learn tricks though. It only takes me a few days... anything to get the treats faster.

Garden Visit

Wow, what I day I had! Nothing special happened right away and I thought that this would just be another relaxing Saturday. Things got interesting after lunch.

Later in the afternoon I went with my parents, a friend, and a new dog friend (a pit mix) to a botanical garden that was opening its doors to dogs and owners. It was fantastic. I was the center of attention--as usual--and I got to do some new things:

I met a wolf, watched a police and search dog demonstration, got to walk over a waterfall, played along a lake, and had a chance to try my skills on an agility course. Boy am I pooped! But it was a lot of fun.

I hope to go out tomorrow to a special dog festival at a local outdoor mall. I love it when they keep me busy.

New Year

I can't believe how much fun I had this new year's. I know it is a little late to be bringing it up, but I have been so busy that I couldn't find the time to dictate to my mom what I wanted her to put on here.

We spent this new year's (my first) at my grandparents house. It is a little farther north, and boy could you tell the difference. I froze my little tail off! I managed to figure out how to sit without actually putting my bottom on the floor. I just sorta hover... Anyways, I spent the whole weekend playing with "Jack" my most awesome best friend. He is a golden retriever and we love to run full speed around the back yard. He is really patient with me. I jump all over him and he just lets me. Just wait till I get bigger.

On new year's eve I was really tired, it was way past my bedtime, but my mom got me up and I sat in her arms as she toasted the new years in with her family.

I really don't see the big deal;however, if it gets me a chance to play with Jack anything is worth waking up for in the middle of the night.

First Trip Out

Wow. What a day!

I was a little frightened when I saw we were walking towards the car. The only trips I have taken so far have not been that fun and usually end with me being poked and prodded by some strange people.

But, today was very different. After a short drive I found myself surrounded by toys, people, cars, and smells. I was a little overwhelmed at first. I had to take a moment in the parking lot before I would walk all the way into the pet store. I perched myself on a little raised bit of grass and just watched the cars zoom by. I still can't get over how loud they were.

After a few minutes I was ready for an adventure, and boy did I get one. What a place! I can only hope that we visit this place again some time soon. I met so many new people and even got a new chew toy.
