I'm now 12 days after surgery and I'm feeling great! Mom lets me come out of my room more now. I've been in mom's office with a gate keeping me in and the other dogs out! Mom put the futon on the floor so I wouldn't have to jump up on anything high and we both slept on it at night. Winston is used to sleeping in our parents bed at night, but he slept in the living room where he could see/smell mom. Lily always sleeps on the bed with dad, and Finnegan sleeps in a doggie bed in the same room. Dad is out of town, so mom now puts me in a crate right by the side of her bed, and the others sleep in their usual places. Everyone is comfortable! I'll be the most comfortable when I get to sleep on the foot of the bed again. But until then, this is working out well.

In the evenings, mom lets me sit on the couch with her. Today she let me walk around the yard with the other dogs. I'm wanting to chew on things too! My leash, my halter, my blanket, mom's hand - BOL!!! I have no more pain! Mom says my mouth looks so pretty with a normal looking jaw. My chin hair is going to take a few weeks to grow out but the skin looks great. The open hole I had for the breathing tube during surgery has healed completely. In 3 days, I go back to see Dr. Fiani to have the stitches removed. Then we'll see if she let's me hang out with my sister and brothers.

So far, so good! No worries!
