to check on my paws. I was licking and chewing them last week. But Dr. Mullings thought it was possibly a nervous habit I had developed in the shelter. So, paws were ok... but my ears were NOT! ARGH!!! I have infected ears. The Mom and the Dad have to clean them and put ointment in them. I yelp. And I whine. But they still do it... :(

Mommy had a black labrador retriever, Gretel, before me. Gretel was always getting ear infections and itching in her paws all the time. Mommy thought maybe she had allergies, but could never zero in on the exact cause.
Too bad, hope those ears feel better soon.
Hope your ears get better soon. One of the tricks the vet told momma was to hold the ears up while petting so that air can get down into the ear cannels because this helps to dry them out and makes it harder for yeast to grow.
Hugs and kisses,
Hugs the Black Pearl Version 2... smiles... its ok Burt.. the nasties will soon go... ask for cheese as a treat !
Sometime it's hard to understand but if your pawrents do that it's because they care and love you. You are a lucky guy. And about your photos, you really make a pair with your sister. You must stop the trafic when you walk together. BOL XOXOXO
We're starting to have some fun together. Dixie taught me how to ride in the Jeep and I taught her how to chase SQUIRRELS! Or I chase them, and Dixie runs after me! BOL
