LUCY SCHEMES AND DREAMS

PRESENTS, LIFE, DOGGIE KISSES

Today my human sister accused Mom of loving me, more than her! Granted she's a teenager and hormones are raging, but that's just plain ridiculous. Mom always says love is not a pie. Love -- the more you give the more you have. A pie is different. There are only so many pieces and then it's gone. Sister was angry because I insisted on coming along for the ride when dropping her off at high school. I didn't make her late -- she did that all by herself. Mom needs me now. Dad got sick on the way to work the other day. He has heart trouble. Mom gets a little scared. It's my job to kiss away Mama's tears. I like them, they're salty; plus, it makes Mom laugh and that always makes me wag my tail. Going for rides is my favorite thing. Mom loves my company. I am so good in the car, really. I listen to Mom and sit and stay before getting in and out. When I was little, Mom would make me do it over and over until I did it right. I learned really fast that it is easier to be patient and wait for my word "Go" before leaping from the car. I hope sister isn't still grumpy when we pick her up. I know she really loves me too. My tail tells me so.

P.S. Mom uploaded pictures of me from her birthday. Don't I look cute? See where I'm trying to help open presents? Dad missed the shot of me wearing Mom's new skirt. Halloween is coming. Maybe Mom will let me wear her birthday tiara...
