fleas

so, i think the ear thing were fleas in her ear or biting her in the ear and her scratching it. anyway, i got some zodiac for her and found it sucked, then i read that it was not very good, so i got advantage from my vets and she is sleeping right now with no scratching or head shaking going on.. peace of earth, at last.

while i ,of course am vacuuming every inch of my my room and washing all my blankets.

for some reason the dates on these entries are all crazy!

red ear

kyia has a big red ear, just one ear, the whole flap is red as well as the inside canal. i have no idea how this happened. i washed her ear out with witch hazel mixed with tea tree oil. and then rubbed polysporin on the flap.

i hope this helps, But we are seeing the vet tomorrow anyway about her stenotic nares operation anyway. it seemed to revert back to a small opening. has anyone heard of this happening? i think i have been ripped off, and i will report the vet and sue if so.

well kyia''s ear is getting better. i used a wash of witch hazel and 10 drops of tea tree oil. then i rubbed the inside flap with bag balm.

about the stenotic nares. the vet said that they swell while healing, and that they should open up while healing within a month and a half.

has anyone experienced this. i wrote several members on here that had this procedure done and only heard back from one so far. This is a new vet , extremely cheap prices.I am worried i sent her to Frankenstein.:(.

so i am very anxious to hear from any members who had this procedure done and how it processed and eventually turned out.

ears,cut nail, food, eyes

so kyia had a bump on her bottom eye lid ans well as a nother ear infection. i went to the emergency vet cause it was new years eve or day.. it was not cherry eye, and the ear was just an infection. he could not smell if it was yeast cause i used tea tree to treat it. the meds worked great and everything is getting back to normal.

Kyia is also on raw fod now. She loves it. he is 10 pounds now and has some skin scabs on her back. i was told this is detox stage, so i will go with that for a while. I cut her nail too short and it bled for a while. i used baking soda to stop it and layed her on her back and applied pressure to the nail with the soda on the cut. I HATE cutting her nails, i can't seem to see the length of the nail in the clipper. and i have two different kinds.

black freckles or spots on kyia

kyia developed these black spots on her back. my vet says they are normal pigmentation, and all she has is seborrhea because of the oily skin and scabs. i think she has a yeast over growth. has anyone had these spots appear on their dog in later years? i am going to post the pics soon, i just don't know where i can post them

eyes and food issues

kyia is starting to be picky when i feed her. well she does this every once in a while. she did not eat yesterday and not today. ohh well, she will be very hungry tomorrow. she also had an eye infection and as soon as it was healed. both her eyes blew up a day or so after. i think it was gold bond powder that got in them.
ouch! she also had an ear infection in her right ear which healed nicely with the enzyme stuff i got off the internet.

kyia also is wanting to play with jobi, but he is too active and wild for her. she does not wnat him to jump on her. just play gently.

another thing that happened is i was petting kyia and jobi went in between us, like he does, and she snapped at him(not biting, a warning) and he say down. he did it again, and she snapped at him again, and he say down and did not get back up. now that is teaching the canine way.
dogs are suppse to teach each other how to behave in thier own way in a colony, and this is what jobi is learning now.
