Quick Bio:
-purebred-mutt

Birthday:
October 23rd 2008

Likes:
To play fetch. Don't care what you throw, so long as you throw it!

Pet-Peeves:
Being alone for long periods of time.

Favorite Toy:
Rocks! He can usually be found trotting around the yard with one in his mouth.

Favorite Food:
Iams Large Breed or Large Breed Puppy

Favorite Walk:
The stretch from our house, down to the elementary school, and back (1 mile, round).

Best Tricks:
He has a routine that I taught him myself (with his help on some). I didn't use trining books or classes, so I'm kinda pround of it. Andre sits, shakes, sits up (beg position), lays down, low crawls, rolls over, sits, and finally high fives for a treat.

Arrival Story:
My birthday was coming up again, which has never been a happy occasion for me. I decided that I wanted another German Shepard, since I had to give up my last one, Charley. Knowing that the likelyhood of finding another German was slim-to-none, I put a request out to all my friends on mySpace to send my puppy pix. I got a few, but one friend, Cujo, stood out above the rest: he sent me a CraigsList ad where someone was giving away FREE German Shepard puppies!! He even came and picked me up and drove me out to the place. When Cujo and I arrived at the door, we were met by this HUGE St. Bernard by the name of Crouton (like the food). The lady was nice, and handed me this adorable, black, chubby ball of fluff. It was instant love! We asked if the lady knew who the father was, and she looked straight at the St. Bernard, then away and said no. Too obvious. She then brought the mother in, who was only half-German herself. I was slightly disappointed, but wasn't letting go of my ball of fluff. We thanked the woman, and left. On the way home, Cujo told me I needed to figure out a name for the little guy, and we discussed the chance that the pup was indeed half St. Bernard. When we got back to Cujo's, old WWF matches were on the tube, bringing about the discussion of old wrestling to new. Then Cujo asked again what I wanted to name the fluff-ball. I told him since the pup was black, something to do with my career, like Kenworth or Pete. Cujo quickly put those ideas in the dirt. Then I said, "well, he's going to get big. What about after my favorite wrestler - Andre The Giant?" Cujo cocked his head and shrugged, saying that would work. Andre has grown quickly, and we have verified that yes, he is St. Bernard/German Shepard/?(whatever his mother was crossed with)?
