Likes: running, playing, going for walks, people, other dogs, cats

Pet-Peeves: Miko getting attention and not him, the vet, long car rides

Favorite Toy: his rawhide bone

Favorite Food: Anything

Favorite Walk: Anywhere

Best Tricks: fetch (he even fetches with himself!), and "Keep Away" (he actually taught ME how to play that...)

Arrival Story: I was looking for a new dog to adopt on Craigslist and saw photos of a beautiful dog whose owners had been trying to find him a home for about a month. He reminded me a lot of a dog (a very good dog) I used to have who passed away several years ago. The Craigslist ad said he was very hyper and still a 23 week old puppy. Getting my weeks and months confused (I've been very busy, with no time to think about what day it is!), I figured he was about two years old. Actually, he was about 6 months old- and already weighing about as much as my seven year old cousin!
Unfortunately it didn't seem like his previous owners spent very much time with him. He didn't know how to sit, or be still or that biting hurts!

Bio: Daegan is very smart. He invents his own games for me to play with him (although it takes me awhile to figure out what he's trying to get me to do). He's also very hyper and has a problem with nipping and jumping on people. We're working on that... ;) So far, I've taught him how to sit and give "high-fives", and my mother taught him to lie down. He's a really fast learner!
When he first met Miko, he wanted to play. She didn't. She ran off for a few minutes, but came back. They get along great, except when one of them is getting attention and the other isn't!
Daegan comes with me almost everywhere I go. (Yes, I treat him like a six-pound, portable chihuahua, which probably explains why he thinks he is one!) He thinks he's a lap dog and doesn't realize how big he really is! He has given me companionship, comfort, security, protection, and most importantly, love. And I'm returning the favor every day. :)

Mommy has been taking me to other places where there are lots of others like me to play with. I've been having lots of fun with them! There's lots of room to run around and play for hours!
Mommy also bought me a new necklace. She said the old one made it hard for her to see me at night, so she got me one that lights up real bright when a light is shone on it.
She bought me these new little yummies that taste awesome, too! Mommy taught me how to "sit" and "down" with them. Hey, for those treats I would learn anything! She said she was proud of me for being such a quick learner. :)
Anyway, I hope to go back to my friends' houses soon! I think mommy likes going over there too. :D

Yesterday, I got a new house! It's a lot bigger than the other one. Mommy calls it a "deluxe dogloo". I'm not sure what that means, but it's nice. She also put a new toy in my house! It was nice and soft and I lied on it for a little while. It was more fun to play with though! But grandma took it away from me when she saw I tore all the insides out. Mommy wasn't so happy about that either. I guess tearing things up is bad. :(

After me and mommy had our loooong walk, and I woke up later, she came outside to play with me. I heard her tell gramma that she wanted her to take..pik--chers... of us together. I wasn't really sure what mommy wanted me to do... but I guess I was doing okay because she was laughing a lot. Then we played "keep away" for awhile. I love that game! :) Mommy is a lot of fun. I think I wore her out. :) I guess what goes around, comes around! ;D
