Pack and Patch reviewFebruary 2nd 2010 3:31 am[ Leave A Comment | 2 people already have ]
Okay I could not sleep so here it is
Leave A Comment | 2 people already have It looks like Dora's pack fits over her shoulders nicely and won't put strain on her back. I'm not sure about that with Rethy's and may take her to the vet so he can check how the weight is distributed. I don't want to be stressing her back. Hers takes a lot of adjustment too. I too, want to carry some meds, cards, emergency info and some official papers related to Rethy in both her vest and her pack. The patch idea sounds great. That's something I'm having trouble with, too so if you've figured that out, that will be very helpful. Yes I do like the way this pack fits her better then the last one. The other hund down and flopped around. this sits higher up and closer to the body. the bags are way to big but I stitched them closed some. this way the do not stick out as far. I love the concept of the patches but still working on which way I prefer to hook them on. When I had Dora spayed at 1 year I asked the vet to check her over and if it was okay for her to carry a little weight. We figured around 1-1/2 lbs would be fine and her growth plates had closed. I weighed the new pack with everything in it and we are under 1lb so that is good. |
