Hiya, hiya!! You know, me n my momma have a really special relationship. She is my OneAndOnlyPerson. I like lots of other people, too, but none like my momma. I really wish I was her OneAndOnlyDog, but I have to share with the other four. :-( But I know we still have a unique bond. I talk to her a lot. Oh yes, don't look so surprised, I know how to talk! And momma understands it all, she talks back to me, and we have wonderful conversations. I'm the only one of her dogs EVER that knows how to talk, so she thinks I'm pretty special.

You still look skeptical. Just ask momma if you don't believe me. She hears what I say as "humming." But I have very good inflection and tone, she knows when I'm asking a question, and when I'm making a statement. I like to sit in her lap as she drives, and I look out her driver's window. I tell her all about what I see, since she has to watch the road. She really appreciates my commentary. If I think she isn't listening, I look up at her and grunt, and she reassures me she has heard everything I said.

You can ask my Auntie Jenn, too. Everyday at work, she scoops me up and I rest my head on her shoulder and I tell her all my troubles. She always says, "Really?" ......... "She really did that?" ...... "Well, that sounds terrible." Auntie Jenn is always particularly sympathetic when I tell her I had to get a b*a*t*h.

I like to walk around the nursing home momma works in and talk to people who walk by. I particularly like it when I get too pooped to walk anymore, and I lay down in the hall, and someone picks me up to carry me. I tell them how much I appreciate the ride, and thank you so very much!

So anyway, if you ever feel like having a chat, just stop by to see me.

Thursday, Sept 10

Well, here's another humiliating story from dog camp. We were in "Tricks and Games" class, and Momma was trying to get me to sit up or "sit pretty." I was not too enthusiastic about it, but I did it. It was for hot dogs, after all. After a few tries, I did a really nice sit pretty, only then I lost my balance, and fell backwards, kinda in slow motion. I landed flat on my back, staring up into the face of a very startled German Shepherd named Stormy. Stormy sniffed me over, and I sniffed her, and we decided the other was ok. I got up only to find my Momma and Stormy's momma doubled over laughing at us. (Mostly ME!) Glad to provide some entertainment, folks...

Wednesday, Sept 9

Hey.... it is 09-09-09. Kinda cool!

But onto more important things.... I had to work SO hard today, Momma made me work overtime!! Me n Chloe always go in to work with Momma at the nursing home in the mornings. But then she is supposed to take us home at lunchtime so we can get our naps in. She didn't do that today, and so we had to work a whole extra shift. I was soooooooo tired, I just lay down in the middle of the hallway and waited for someone to come along and carry me. This ploy... I mean, um... Many people felt very sorry for me, so I got carried around a lot this afternoon.

OK, I have some serious nap time to make up for now.

Oh my oh my, I am SO behind on telling my tales! But MAN did I have a blast this weekend at Call of the Wild Dog Camp!! I went with Momma last year to the first one, and we had such a good time, we went this year too. I am pretty famous at camp. Part of it is cuz I am so confident and nonchalant, keeping up with all the big dogs without a second thought. Another part is cuz everyone just thinks I am cute, and laughs at my happy snortling that everyone can hear as I walk around. The other part is that I pee on EVERYTHING. hee hee hee!!!

This year, I participated in River Games, Forest Agility, Tracking 101, and Tricks n Games class, among other stuff. I do NOT like swimming. Momma put my stupid life vest on and put me in the river with her, and I made it clear I was done with THAT by leaving. I swam to shore, walked to the trail, and LEFT. ha ha ha!!! But I'm a champ at Forest Agility, it is one of me n Momma's favorite things. And don't believe any of the rumors circulating around camp that I snored through the entire Core Strengthening class.

Uh oh.... gotta run .... literally!! Momma is getting things ready to give me a b-a-t-h!! She is so picky about the dirt and mud and grime from camp. That was the best part!! Bye!!!!

What a day, what a DAY!

Can you believe it.... Momma not only kicked us doggies all off the bed about 4:00 AM, but then she shoo'd us out of the bedroom and SHUT THE DOOR!!! My doG, there are no closed doors allowed here!! How in the world are we going to save her from.... rabid raccoons.... or..... spiders??? I don't care if she was having one of her insomnia nights, it just isn't right!!!! However, we did succeed in somewhat keeping tabs on Momma behind the closed door. Chloe would periodically scratch at the door, to which we could hear Momma yelling at her to knock it off. Then I would press my nose (which obviously is very flat to start with) against the little crack between the floor and the door, and do big snuffles to make sure I still smelled her in there. For some reason, Momma says she didn't sleep any better with us OUT of the room than when we were IN. (I could have told her that in the first place!!)

But, oh, wait and see.... Momma had her revenge on us. She gave every single one of us a b-a-t-h this afternoon!! Oh the indognity of it all!! Now I smell like LAVENDER of all things. How unmanly. I have to go out and find some bird poop to roll in now, so....

A quiet day on the home front. Momma went to work for a while, but took Anna n TeddyBear instead of me n Chloe. *grumble*grumble* I have made it clear to Momma that she and I need to spend more quality time together, just her and me. She let me know we certainly shall. I hope so. As a Pekingese, I am very loving and loyal to my one and only person, and I do NOT like sharing!!!

Hiya! Me n Chloe went to work with Momma this morning. Boy, was Chloe full of herself!! She kept tackling me, and biting my legs. I had no choice but to chase her up and down the halls. Then, when we were leaving for lunch, Chloe got a hold of MY leash, and was pulling me along!! She is so rude. But then again, I hear all sisters are.

Woofs, nothing much new here. I'm pretty busy with patrolling the front yard fence with Ziggy. He's really good at sounding the alarm if anything is out of place. Then I usually go help him bark at it. Then Momma comes to tell us to be quiet. It is a fun game!

Well, Momma is home from work sick, but I don't mind that at all. I've been snoozing on the bed with her so she feels better. I kinda miss being at the nursing home, but as long as I'm with Momma, it's ok.

Ziggy is such a doofus. He likes to sleep on the bottom shelf of the bookcase. What kind of nutty dog does that??? Sometimes I wonder if he is REALLY a Pekingese cuz he is so weird.

Chloe, my Pekingese side kick sister, is my bestest friend. She is a good zoomie chaser, and a great wrestler. We love to pull on each other's ears and legs. She is lots of fun!!

Anna and TeddyBear are the two big old dogs. They think they are in charge, but we three Pekes know WE are the ones who run this place.
