Arrival Story:
Romeo passed away, May 30 2012, two days before turning 12. He became acutely anemic and was past treatment with decent odds of success. On vet's advise, we put him to sleep on Wednesday, May 30, 2012. Here's the story about how Romeo and I got together: I had two dogs stolen, one when I was in high school and the other in college. I wanted a dog very loyal that would not go off with just any one. I was looking at getting a bouvier, when one day in Sacramento I saw a black puppy acting very spastic while being walked. He was very cute and I asked if he was a bouvier. the owner said he was a Giant Schnauzer from Skansen Kennels. I looked them up, visited and ordered a puppy. They asked me a lot of questions about my lifestuyle and what type of personality. They matched me to Romeo who is both playful and stoic. This makes him very funny! I truly love my buddy, housemate and best friend.

Bio:
Romeo is a champion line Giant Schnauzer out of Skansen's Winter Weather and International Champion Tamarangas Rey Godo (aka Mexico). He is 29" at the shoulder and 111 pounds. Until he was 5 Romeo could clear a 7 to 8 foot fence, but he rearely leaped unless it was to chase a squirrel. He loves little dogs and cats. He is perplexed why cats tend to scratch his nose when he tries to inhale them. Romeo is pretective of me,particularly with tall men. This has mellowed with age. He does not go into full bark a lot, but when he is you'll need earplugs.
