Arrival Story:
I get emails from an online service called "Adoptapet.com. It just so happens that a day before I had gone to the Humane Society of Greater Miami with a friend to check out dogs for him. He put in an application for a dog and had to come back the next time they were open with some more information. I got an email from Adoptapet.com on the day they were closed about a pet named "Paco" who was supposed to be a very small Yorkie. The photo was a really sad looking dog. The next day when my friend and I went back to the shelter to pick up his dog I asked the woman about "Paco" she said "Oh that dog shouldn't be online, he'll go to one of our big donors - you know the ones who donate like $20,000!" I said "well that's not me, but can I see him?" She said "no he's in quarantine." She must've liked me the more she got to know me because later she asked me "if none of the other candidates were interested in "Paco", would I want him?" I said "well I'd like to see him first". She told me to up in an application and I did as well as telling her that I was looking for a dog that small as a playmate for Yogi.
I hadn't heard from her all week, but the following Sunday I was planning on taking a Doggy CPR course in Ft. Lauderdale when I got a phone call from my friend at the shelter. I don't drive yet so I had to find a ride down there but I did and when I saw the crazy looking little guy, well let's just say he moved in that night.
"Paco" who didn't even know his name, started getting called "Boo Boo" immediately as it seemed logical with my other dog being named Yogi (de Beara). Boo Boo kinda fits. I also added Monster because well he is one but only in the best way. He also looks like a little ghost so "Boo" fits.
Bio:
There was no real information on where Boo Boo came from before he lived at the shelter. He was at the shelter for about 3 weeks. And the people who dropped him off apparently had him for about 3 weeks and possibly fed him table food. He may have been a stray before that. The shelter neutered him and pulled his k-9 baby teeth (I would have let them fall out naturally, my Yogi's last baby t00th fell out at around 19 or 20 months.
