Barbie is from an abusive home which seems to have resulted in a chronic fear of men and boys...
As a puppy, she was discovered by a rescuer lying in a ditch. She had the mange, and little or no fur. She was taken in and cared for, then adopted by us at the age of four. She's a bit neurotic... very timid, nervous, and sometimes cringey, though we have shown her the utmost kindness.
Slowly she is coming out of her shell, as she begins to play with toys for the first time ever, and to get to know her newfound buddy, Griffin the Pekingese puppy.
She loves walking, is fascinated by squirrels, and can't go driving as she suffers from car sickness.
