I's made my Mommy laugh today! Since Rinky left, Mommy been real sad. She plays 'wit me everyday & gives me lots of hugs & kisses but Rinky's passing has wounded her deeply. I's miss her too, especially now that Mommy's gone back to work & I's home alone. When Mommy gets home I's there to greet her at the door. She drops everything to just pick me up & hug me. I's so happy to see her I's run zoomies 'round the house. Then I's goes & gets my burger squeeky toy & Mommy will play tug 'wit me & tosses it so I can chase it! She makes sure to spend at least 15 minutes playing with me before she does anything else. This has helped me adjust now that Rinky is gone. We's also goes for our regular walks almost everyday & I's been 'companying Mommy on errands to the store. She been doing much of her shopping late in the afternoon just so I's able to go 'wit her (it's cooler & I's able to wait in the car).
This evening Mommy decided to take me to Bullis Park (it's down the road from our home). When we arrived the park gate was already closed so we's couldn't drive inside. Mommy parks the jeep outside the park & we's walks in. We's has the whole park to ourselves. We's walks over to the playground. They has these swings & Mommy sits in one while I's sniffin' 'round. Then Mommy sees the swings for the little babies & she calls me over. She picks me up & puts me in one. I's sits in it & holds on to the front of it 'wit my front paws. Mommy gives me a light little push & I's swinging! Then Mommy bursts out laughing so hard. She said it's cause I's looked so cute & funny! She laughed & laughed. She said we's going back tomarrow same time so she can take her camera & take 'pitchers! After that, we's walk 'round the whole park. It was nice see Mommy laugh.
One day at a time, sweet Ebby and Momma.

(i actually am going to the post office on monday to mail the h of b+2 that life jacket..i am going to send you some of those same bullies, mommy got me another hundred pack!
..awww i remember rinks stole one from you! BOL! *sob*...our angel loved them so much!) do you remember.. i blamed you!
i was very happy to hear your marley tune..trust me his wisdom has healed many a broken heart.
anyway, i was trying to say that is our job as domesticated doggies to be companions..to give our families the fun and love that bouys them through the daily tribulations and hard times.. adult humans need serious prodding..i recommend nose bonks and shoe stealing. sometimes it does not matter how old the joke is, it still garners laughs!
did you happen to read nt frenchie angel pal lukie's story about tossing his bowl and making a break for it?
here is a link if you missed it: lukie did his job too
i will never forget that story..or luke.
i know it's tough on you right now Eb..i actually came to my home while it was still in deep mourning for lola. luckily, i was a brassy puppy without hesitations and my needs were paramount so i jammed my way right into everyone's hearts..but at the same time..i did my job..and my pranks also brought the first laugh from my mommy.
well, sorry to go on and on here..
good work Ebby!
you won't be alone furever..rinks is sending somebody..you'll see..
Lots of Shih Tzu hugs and kisses to you and your momma.
