Savannah has honed her landscape architect skills. She loves to eat bark from the trees, tubing from the drip system, trimming shrubs, etc.
Arrival Story:
Savannah joined our family the day after we lost our beloved Chandler to liver cancer. Having had the pitter-patter of little canine feet for more than 11 years, we felt a HUGE void. We talked about it and decided there were so many dogs available who needed a good home. We also had so much love to give so we started our quest!
We visited all the shelters in the Phoenix/Maricopa County area and our hearts were breaking to see how many potential pets were looking for homes. Oh how we wish we could have adopted them all but that was unrealistic. At the Halo Rescue Center, we found Savannah. She was originally named Dharma but being the southerner, I decided Savannah suited her really well.
Bio:
According the Halo folks, Savannah was rescued from the euthanasia list at the county pound. She was very malnourished. We have no idea what her past was but we knew her future was with us! She really charmed my husband (Savannah looks a LOT like Dora, the dog he grew up with).
