Arrival Story:
In the spring of 2002, we followed our hearts and agreed to adopt a little doggy into our family. We found Malto at the Central Texas SPCA in Leander, Texas. He had been there for 8 months prior to our adoption as all previous vistitors to the shelter had passed him over for a puppy. He had become the shelter's mascot and they were sad to see him go.
Malto has been with us for almost 3 years now and our fondness and love for him continues to grow. He is our little precious and we love him dearly. We recently got Malto a little buddy, Cecil, to keep him company while we are at work during the day.

Hi everyone, I'm Malto. I'm a simple guy, with a sweet, easy going temperment. I like little dogs and pig ears more than anything. If I had my choice, I'd sleep on my owners couch 24/7. My life has been a bit more chaotic lately with the new addition to our family, Cecil. We get along well, most of the time, with the exception of when I'm really tired and he wants to play. I have yet to snap at him, but I'm sure I'll reach a boling point somewhere down the road. I'm now in the best shape I've been in since my owner's rescued me. In the last 4 months I've lost 7 pounds. That's right, I'm a lean and mean middle aged doggie now. This weight loss has given me lots more energy and insetad of lying in the grass at the dog park, I've been running around chasing other dogs. I'm so excited summer is here because I can stay out later and I'll be able to get to my grandparent's pool sometime soon.
