We cried and we thought and we cried and we thought and then we decided that since Abby can poop by herself and has a great appetite, and just loves her new Purple Platypus squeakie toy - Then maybe, just maybe, it's not quite time yet. Everyone says she will tell us with her eyes, and she's just not saying that right now. She's saying - "Where's my food" and "Let's play Ball". So, we're going to wait until Monday to make the decision. And we're going to surround her with oodles of love .

I feel so bad for you and Abby. My Mom has had to go through this a number of times over the years, and I know your Mom will do what is best for you. The way she is talking, it is not time yet, but only you know that and I know you will tell her when you are ready. I am a dog suffering from Cushings Disease. I have had it for 3 and 1/2 years. Although I am not pretty anymore because of the Cushings, Mom still loves and takes good care of me. I will let her know when it is time. Bless you Abby, my Mom will pray for you.

Sounds like you are still enjoying life and that is all that really matters. I will continue to keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. It is true you will tell your peeps when you are ready and it doesn't sound like you are ready to leave them just yet. Hang in there and enjoy each day. When the time is right the signs will be unmisteakable.

Hey Geoff,
You know I've been there and I don't envy your situation. Its just awful. Making the decision is never easy. Simon never gave me any signs that he was "ready " to go, so don't put too much weight on that.
What someone told me once was when her bad days outnumber her good days, than its time. Good luck to you.
