...and our Vet is amazed that Abby is still with us. She's a fighter! She's licking her paws a lot more, which is the standard sign of pain, so my wife and I are having more and more discussions on when it's time. No-one wants to cause pain to their pet, and we all want as much time with them as we can. Gossh, this is so difficult, and yet, it is so wonderful to see her each morning, just a-wagging that tail like crazy. Her appetite is great, she can walk outside to poop, so we're taking each day at a time, and being so thankful for it. Just One More Day, oh pleez, oh pleez.

It is so good to hear that Abby is still wagging that tail! It sounds like all the positives are still outweighing the negatives, and that's wonderful! Just enjoy every day you have with Abby to the fullest, and trust God and Abby to show you what you need to know...and when. We continue to pray for Abby and you.
I check your diary often to see how you are doing. It is so hard to let go, but my mom says she will when it is time. It is not my time yet. I have had Cushing's for 3 years now and have been in a Cushing's research group since then. My mom has been able to reduce my meds, and at present I am doing pretty well. I am 12 years old, too. Keep the faith in your caretakers. You will let them know when it is time, and my family will keep you in our doggie prayers. Wags!
It is good to hear an update. We think about you and your family often Abby. We keep you in our prayers that the one more day is free of pain. Take care!!!!

we are all pulling for your whole family. not just for her sake but for yurs as well. we have confidence tho that if/when that time should come-you will know when. god will not allow such loved animals to suffer.
i try and tel myself everyday that god knew we wouldnt find a reason for bandits health intime before he couldnt take it anymore-so god came down and took him for us so we wouldnt have to make that decision. and tho i cry as i type this i know that Bandit is a lively pup again waiting on us.
Abby loves you very much and she IS a very strong little soul. that is why she wags her tail for you and looks deeply into your eyes to let you guys know that her love is endless and she knows yours is too.
stay strong and thankful but allow understanding too.
much love and all our prayers (lix and wagz too!)
