The Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet
goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special
friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water
and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals that had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor.
Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we
remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy
and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special
to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops
and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body
quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green
grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet,
you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy
kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and
you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from
your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.
Everytime I think of you, tears fall down my face. I miss you so much sweety. Your time on earth was so very short. You brought so much joy and happiness in my life and miss you everyday.
I think about the times you were so goofy, carrying a cup of coffee in your mouth, chasing bugs with Ralph, playing Laser light with the kitties, trying to help me take out the garbage, by trotting off with the lid. You forgot the garbage! LOL!
I remember you were such a happy girl, but hyper to as most puppies are. When I would play my John Denver Music, you calmed down right away. You love to hear me play the guitar. Just remember, every time I play my guitar, I am thinking of you, Shadow, Burleous, and Amber.
Take good care of everyone sweety, and remember to take care of your grandmother!

I'll speak to you through nature's gifts and I'll never be far from your door. When colorless clouds surround your mind I'll paint them bright with tones of love. I'll ask the birds who sing so sweetly if I can borrow their voices to remind you I haven't gone far.
Every leaf or feather you see floating is me, asking you not to cry. Each pebble you see washed upon the shore is your reminder that i didn't die. The rippling waters are my giggles and the wave tops are me saying hello. Never forget how much I love you....
I sur have been missing you so much the past few days. I just can't stop the tears from flowing. You were so full of energy, and full of love and affection. I laugh every time I think of the silly things you use to do, like play laser light with Ralphie, or chase Peanut through the yard. Or carry My coffee cup through the house! You were so silly! My heart aches so much without you here. Dakota you were my Best friend, My Buddy. And always will be sweety.
