Arrival Story:
I adopted Mojo from RSPCA (SPCA in US?) in 2004. I was told he was 2 yrs old when I got him, but the vet said he was closer to 4 years old. He was terribly abused and had broken teetch and damaged tongue. We had to have two of his teeth pulled out because they were infected and he couldn't eat. It has taken 5 years to get him to trust people enough to go up to them for a pat. He still cringes and becomes tense and nervous if you pick a shoe up a certain way but the lenght of time he is subdued is less now and I'm getting him to see shoes as a toy (he brings them back if you throw them and doesn't chew them)not as an object of punishment.
