5-8-08 Zeus here....just wanted to give everyone an update...boy have I had a busy few weeks. First off, I moved to the beach!!! Although I miss my previous foster daddy and all the other dogs that were there, I must say that being the only doggie in the house does have its advantages!!!! I love getting all of the attention. My foster mom says I am sooo good she can't even believe it. I know all the commands like sit, down, stay, settle, off and come. I am very well behaved and listen to almost everything my foster mom says. I did stay in the crate the fist night I was here with no problem and also the first week when my foster mom was at work. I have to be encouraged to go in the crate, but once I'm in I'm fine and I do not really whine or bark. However, now I am so good that I don't even have to stay in the crate when my foster mom goes to work anymore. The first day she trusted me out of the crate when she was gone and I had the whole house to myself, I did try on all of her scarves and scattered them all around the house. I was very careful and didn't chew any of them. She laughed when she got home and I didn't get in too much trouble, but since then I've been on best behavior. I also don't sleep in my crate as I prefer to sleep on my bed on the floor next to my foster mommy's bed. I have met some other dogs here and really like most of them, but a few of them I just can't stand. My best friend is a chocolate lab and I get to play with him every couple of days. I am very protective of my foster mom and our house. I sit at the front door and let her know if anyone passes by. My foster mom was so impressed that I already know how to swim and really like the water, in fact I have no fear of it at all and actually jumped off the boat. I think it scared my foster mom as she jumped in right after me, but I was well on my way to the shore to play with all the dogs I saw on the beach. I love all toys and don't mind sharing them with other dogs (as long as I like the other dog). My favorite toy is this stuffed frog that makes a 'ribbit' sound when I squeeze him. My next favorite toy would probably be a ball or my kong (esp when my foster mommy puts peanut butter in it). I love to jump and play and probably wouldn't be good with a family with small children as I play a bit rough. I would really like to find a family with no small children or other dogs where I can get all the attention I deserve. Hope you are out there and you find me soon....till then, I'll be chillin at the beach!!!
3-26-08 Zeus here checking in and wanted to let everyone know what a Awesome
boy I am. I have been working on my manners and let me say my foster
Dad keep ssaying how Proud he is and what a well behave boy I have
become.
I walk Perfectly on a leash never trying to pull alot of times when we
go to Petsmart to check out the ladies I just stroll beside the big
guy with my leash on the ground but I stay right with him.
When we stop to pick out toys or treats boy do I love treats! I sit
patiently at my foster Dads side well he checks out the
aisle......sometime he will tell me to down and than just walk away
down the aisle......I lie and watch until he calls to me or comes back
to get me.
I'm learning that it is not a bad thing to have other doggie
friends...I do like the dogs that don't try to boss me around best and
let me think I'm the boss.......My foster sister and I were just today
enjoying the sun out on the deck.......Wow can she kiss! Dad says its
ok since we aren't really related.
I never would have thought it to be true but I absolutely Love to get
in the bed and watch t.v. we sometime take naps too.........Another
thing I have been getting to go for lots of rides lately and I have to
say it is so fun! I will admit we have met some dogs while out that I
am not always fond of but Dad says theirs also people he don't like
much so its okay aslong as I keep my manners and NO fighting.........I
hope someone nice reads this and wants to come take me for a ride to
my new home.........I promise I will be on my best behavior if you are
upfront and direct in what is exspected of me. Hope to sniff ya soon:)

10-20-07 Hey Zeus here checking in.....Wanted to let everyone know that I had a
vet visit yesterday and that I was rechecked for heartworms and I am
now officially 100% FREE of those nasty worms!
When we arrived at the vet's office I was also able to greet a former
BRBR adoptee Ms. Mercy and she sure was pretty, we got a few boxing
rounds in and a couple of quick kisses before my foster Dad said we
needed to go on inside. She looked so happy! Now don't get me wrong my
foster Dad's are Great but I sure wish I would have a family all to my
own. Hard to believe that nobody wants me I am a super sweet Boy! Can
someone please give me a chance?

Hey Yall!
I know it's been awhile but I have been a busy boy. Trying to get used to all these new people and meeting different dogs. I have been hopeful that someone would want to come and take me home with them and I still have hope as the Big guy says in time someone special will come along. I so hope someone will want to love me forever.
My foster Dad says that I am doing great and that I am learning to play with the other dogs here. I am selective as to whom I choose to allow to play with me and seem to do best with other dogs who do not see a problem letting me think I am in charge. Even though the Big guy insist that he is:)
I would probably enjoy best being the only dog with an occasional play mate although if the right brother/sister happens to come along I am open to meeting and see how things go.
I have heard them say something about me being a bit stubborn at times so I think I would do best with someone that will be able to be assertive in teaching me what they expect in my new home. I definitely would need a fenced yard so that I can romp and burn off some energy as I am full of it, or so my foster Dad says. I personally think I am fine and its all these other crazy pups that I am living with that get me all excited. I really hope to hear back from my family soon...
Oh yeah they said I should tell Ya that I am still doing Great with my pottying outside and will crate when told 'IN'......

3-29-07 Hi everyone! My name is Zeus,I am a very handsome Boy..I know this because everyone keeps telling me that when they stop to pet me or when my foster family cuddles up on the couch with me and lets me give them kisses. I have only been in my foster home for a few days so I will let them know soon what I feel everyone needs to know about me. Everyone has been really nice to me and they are getting me ready for someone special to come take me to their home. I have been to see some person I hear everyone call a vet and have started my treatment to get these nasty heartworm's taken care of. They also neutered me! I was a bit nervous with that but they assured me it was for the best:) I've got to meet several other dogs where I'm staying now and they seem to be okay. My foster Dad for some reason wont let me run and play with them yet they keep saying something about I need to stay calm during my heartworm treatment. I sure wish my family before would have not let me get these nasty things as I sure want to play! My foster Dad says I'll be able to run and play soon. Please don't let the heartworm's make you not want me. I promise it wasn't my fault and I will be as good as ever very soon! Oh yeah and for some reason my Dad keeps telling me how much of a good boy I am for not having any accidents in my crate or for not peeing on his couch. I really don't understand what the big deals is, does he really think I would want to make a mess of my comfy bed or couch. Well I need to get going I think that silly cat wants on here now. Hope to meet you soon! 3-13-07 Meet Zeus!! He was turned into the shelter and the nobody claimed him so we saved him! He is HW+.
