Today was the first day I swam!! After falling in the pool last summer--it looked just like the 4" puppy pool Kathleen got me, so I just walked right off the edge and sank-- I guess I was a little gun-shy or something. So today Luca and my human relatives were at the pool for the first time this season. It took about an hour before I realized I could do it too. I kept putting my face in first, off the steps and didn't lead with my head up. I make this weird grunting noise while I paddle. Kathleen wasn't too sure if I was exerting myself too much or gulping pool water; but she let me figure it out on my own anyway. One thing that I don't quite have down yet is that I can't swim ON Luca. He doesn't seem to like that too much. If I can jump on him on land, what's the difference??
Next time we go (hopefully tomorrow!) we'll take and post pictures.
Well anyway, Kathleen was very excited that for once, I was being NAUTICAL like my name, instead of NAUGHTY. :)
