Likes: Snuggling, Beggin Strips, her little red coat, and sleeping in the big bed Pet-Peeves: She dosent like the dark or fast movements Favorite Toy: Pink Piggy and Yellow Ducky Favorite Food: Prime Rib if you really wanna know Favorite Walk: Would prefer to be carried thanks Best Tricks: I am a princess, princesses don't do tricks Arrival Story: I transported Annie's son Chuckie who is totally blind and partially deaf for CDR (Canadian Dachshund Rescue) and fell instantly in love with him. Chuckie (now Hellman) was on his way to a wonderful home but the girls with DRNA (Dachshund Rescue of North America) told me his Mommy was still with the pm breeder and needed a home so I adopted her without knowing anything about her other than she needed us. She came to us a little scared and the breeder tags in each ear had been ripped out leaving bleeding slits on each ear. Time and love have made her the princess she was destined to be. She is a wonderful baby girl and we love her so much. Each day is all about being happy and loved for Annie and she will never be bred again. Bio: Annie is a product of greed. She is a double dapple who is partially blind and totally deaf which is comman in double dapple. For reasons unknown, the combination of two dapple genes hitting the same area of the dog can be lethal. I have seen double dapple puppies born with no eyes, and/or no ears. Blindness and/or deafness is also caused by the double dapple gene. Annie was in a puppy mill in Mo as a breeder until some wonderful people with DRNA got her out and swiftly got her to me. Double Dapple breeding needs to be stopped.
