Uttermost is a home furnishings company that produces stunning furniture and accessories for real life that are as functional as they are fashionable. The proof is in the company'sadvertising campaigns.

Every Uttermost ad features at least one adopted shelter dog, and sometimes two or three! And all of these photogenic K9s are pictured curled up in, sittingon, snoozing atop, or otherwise enjoying a fabulousitem of upholstered furniture or a plush rug.

One rescued Beagle, left, is photographed admiring her adorablereflection in a glamorous mirror! There's even a pair of pretty Pit Bull mixes in my favorite flavors: caramel (above) and chocolate brindle swirl (below).

The message: No house is ever truly a home without at least one adopted dog in residence. Now, here's a company every design-conscious dog and Dogster can love unconditionally.

There's no more capable arbiter of style than a shelter dog. They are true experts at critter comforts. They know what they like — and they vote with their feet.Shelter dogsknow better than anyone how to trade up from a rough time on hard concrete toa lifetimeof continuous coziness on the couch!

Haute home furnishings with heart — now there's a trend that should never go out of style.

Uttermost understands this, utterly. No wonderthis Virginia-based companyhas been in business for 36 years. Maybe it's not a household name in home furnishings; like the K9s celebrated in its brilliant ads, it's more of an underdog.

But in my humble opinion, Uttermost deserves to be a household name. What's more,I'm drooling over that mirror that sofetchingly reflects Tilly the Beagle! SoI'm putting Uttermost at the top of my holiday shopping resource list. Whether or not you're in the market for furniture and/or home accessories, you'll definitely want to check out Uttermost's web site toread the life stories ofits many magnificentmutt models. And have a look at Uttermost's full-page ad in the new November-December issue of Traditional Home magazine, featuring K9s Romy and Julia.
