My name is Ginger. I’m the color of the spice called Ginger with a little black. I’m a spayed female Long-Haired Dachshund/Terrier Mix approx. 3.5 yrs. old and weigh approx. 12 lbs.. I’ve had all my vaccinations, heart worm tested and micro chipped. I’m also crate trained and trained to use a doggie door to do my business outside. I’ve learned to sit for my breakfast and dinner and for a biscuit. My foster mom also brushes my teeth. On a scale of 1 to 10 I’m a 10+ in the affection department, and loves to be picked up. Cuddling next to you on the couch is a favorite or I like to play with squeaker toys. I’m quite affectionate and submissive and will frequently roll over on my back plus I’ll give you kisses. When I see you and get excited I stretch out my back legs and I look like a mermaid!! I’m very much a people dog and love attention plus I’m good with the other little dogs in my foster home. In fact, my girlfriend Honey, a Pug Mix, in my foster home is also available for adoption. If you’re looking for a companion dog I’m it, or if you want a pair of companion dogs, check out my girlfriend. I appear to be frightful of bigger dogs therefore I need a home where I’m the only dog or there are others close to my size. My foster home has dog friendly cats and I’m not that interested. A home where someone is there part of the time to give me the love and attention I need is what I require. Children must be respectful and supervised.
