No walk for us today, but I did get to go with Mom to someone's house. It's a family we know from our pack walks. They have two dogs, Spencer - an American Spitz and Ruby - a long haired Chihuahua. Well I was the only one that Mom trusted to go and not pee in the floor. Hehe. I wasn't too sure when we got there. I tend to be a little shy, but I recognized Ruby and Spencer. I still hid behind Mom a little though. And when Mom sat down I sat in her lap part of the time. But it wasn't all bad because I got this Greenie treat that was pretty good. And I didn't have to fuss at anyone to stay away from it. And I got to go outside off leash at their house. Mom knows she can trust me. But the best part was one of the other pets they have at their house. Well, besides cats. They have cats, and I saw one of them, but he was afraid of me. Can you imagine? HE was afraid of ME. And he was bigger than me, too. Anyway, back to this other pet. They called it a ferret. I was very curious and went up to smell it. Pretty interesting. And then it decided to smell me. I was a little unsure about that. So I went back to Mom's lap. I did go smell it again. I think I kind of liked it.

When I got back home Pippi, Pixie and Dutchess were all smelling me a lot. Wonder if they could smell the ferret or if it was just Ruby and Spencer they could smell. I had fun, but I'm kind of glad to be back home where I can really get a good nap.

I am so excited. I just found out I am THE Daily Diary pick for today. Me! I'm doing a happy dance. MOM!! This calls for a celebration. Treats all around, and pull out the good ones.

This helps make up for the fact that Pixie got to go on a walk with Mom all by herself, and I didn't get to go. It seems like I almost always have to share Mom with someone when I go. Now forget the fact that I feel braver when one of the others comes with us. I don't want to be confused with the facts right now. It just wasn't fair I tell you, and I was mad. I got right up in Pixie's face when they got back home. She hates that. I don't touch her, I just stand really close. Mom did point out to me that this was the first walk Pixie has made it on so far this year since she got sick right at the start of the year. And she pointed out that I have been on three walks already this year. Then I think she said something about me being a diva. I corrected her. I am a princess!

Fourth pack walk of the year and I got to go again. Pippi did, too, but Mom did tell Pippi if she doesn't learn to be quiet in the car she will only get to go on walks close to the house! Hehe. This time we went to Nicholas Ball Park, which isn't a very big park. So we loop multiple times. I did my barking at the park ... every person we passed. I do that every now and then, but am quiet most of the time.

We saw a big hawk sitting in a tree while there. Mom made sure to stay close to me every time we passed the hawk. Didn't want it getting any ideas you know.

No one carried a pedometer this time, so we're just guessing at how far we walked. We think maybe around four miles. No one with string cheese this time. Someone did have some freeze dried cheese, but I was a little shy and the other dogs kept eating it before I would get close enough for a bite. I'm a little less shy with string cheese.

Well I think that is about it until next time.

Got to go on another pack walk today. Of course this pack was a little smaller than the other day. Actually a lot smaller. On Saturday it was 15 people and 16 dogs including myself. Today it was 3 people and 4 dogs including myself. And part of the time one dog was missing. I am happy to say though that she was found safe and sound.

There was someone with string cheese on the hike today. I really like people with string cheese. Or at least I like the cheese. I sure wish Mom would quit telling everyone I need small bites of that stuff. I need food to keep up my energy. I have to take a lot more steps than those Golden Doodles we were walking with. I have to take more than Dutchess, too. We went 4.2 miles today. That makes 10.4 miles for me so far this year. I will certainly be able to keep my girlish figure if I keep this up. Hehe.

Pippi, Mom and I did a long hike today at a new spot for us. We hiked 6.2 miles! Mom said I got to go because Pixie needed a break from me. Hehe. I made sure to pester Pixie after dinner though. It needed doing. Back to the hike though. There is one person that tends to bring string cheese to these hikes. I am really starting to like her. Some of the others have pretty good treats, too. Part of the hike was through the woods and part of it was on a gravel road. There were some hills, but they weren't too bad. Not as steep as some of the other hikes.

Wonder if we will make it on more walks and hikes this year than we did last year. Will be interesting to see.

And now, I'm pooped from all this walking I have done. Too tired to even pester Pixie right now. Good night everyone.

From time to time Mom gets these wild ideas. She has had two recently. The first was that Pippi and I would have a workout on an exercise peanut/ball. She's had us up there the last two days and tells me we will have a session today. I don't know where she comes up with this stuff. The good part is that we get treats while we are up there. So it's not all bad. I am more content to sit up there on the peanut than Pippi ... that is if there is not a constant stream of treats.

The other wild idea Mom had was to have Pippi and I play on a teeter totter. Not at the same time, mind you, although someone should remind Pippi of that. Talk about your circus acts! I would be air borne the first time Pip bounced onto her end. BOL. Nothing quite that entertaining in mind here. No, just a short, low teeter totter that we could walk across. The first time Mom brought this contraption out Pippi and I were a bit afraid. And the first time one end bonked on the ground we scrambled away from it. Mom tried holding one end up, but we still weren't too sure about this. Didn't seem like one of her better ideas. So, Mom talked with a friend and got some advice on a better way to get started with this, and the first thing was to put the board flat on the ground and let us get used to walking across it that way. Piece of cake. What could be easier than walking across a short board flat on the ground and getting a treat when you get to the other end? Then Mom threw a twist in. She wanted us to stop at the end of the board with two feet off and two feet on. Whatever. These people have some weird ideas, but I can do that. In fact, I picked up on that bit faster than Pippi. It's usually the other way around. I was first to walk across the board, first to stop with my feet the way Mom wanted. I was so pleased with myself. Almost as excited as Mom was. It takes so little for her to get excited sometimes. Bless her. Well, today Mom threw in another twist and turned the board back into a teeter totter. Hmmm. Maybe we could do this. We tried it but decided it was a little slipperier than we liked. No problem. Mom took an old towel and stapled it to the board. Perfect. So after a few not so great tries and some being timid I decided to go for it. I took my time and went slowly across, let the other end drop and finished my way across, put two feet off and looked for my treat. Well if Mom was excited about us walking across a board on the floor you should have seen her when I did this. Unbelievable. And after all that excitement all I got was a Cheerio. I mean really. Where was the good stuff?!! And only one?!! Good thing I like Cheerios, and seeing Mom so excited, so I went back and forth on this teeter totter, making one end then the other drop. Cheerio after Cheerio. Oh, Pippi took some turns, too, but it took her a lot longer to get the idea of letting it drop then two feet on and two off. I'll cut her a little slack since she is heavier and the thing makes more of a bumping noise when she goes across. Mom really thought Pip would pick it up faster than me and I would be afraid of it for days, but I showed her.

All in all I think this teeter totter thing is going to be okay. I just wonder what Mom will come up with next!

Mom tricked me the other day. She was in the bathroom just standing around. A lot of time I won't go in there with her when she is lurking. It often means a bath is coming. Well, she had been loitering long enough that I decided it was safe. Then out of the blue, she reached down and got me. Oh the horror! But then I relaxed because she kissed me and put me back down. I ran out of the room as fast as I could before she changed her mind again. She stayed in there though, still loitering, so after a bit I decided to go check on her. Well, she picked me up again and I panicked. I was relieved when she kissed me and put me back down again and I quickly retreated to the bedroom. This happened a few more times with me coming back a little faster each time. This was getting to be a fun game. Get picked up, get a kiss and run away. And just when I was starting to enjoy myself, she picked me up, kissed me, held on to me and TURNED ON THE WATER! I tried to squirm, but it did no good. I didn't get the best bath in the world, but Mom says I at least got a little cleaner. Pippi must have heard all the commotion and was smart enough to steer clear of the bathroom until it was over and Mom was back in the bedroom. So not fair.

Mom recently got this nice little fabric box that she has been excited about when Pippi or I would sit in it. She would give us treats just for sitting there. Parents can be so funny so we humored her and began to get used to the "treat box". After about a week of this she came home with a HUGE box and began building this big thing. When she was done she put the treat box way up near the top of the thing. I watched patiently as she did all this and I was fine with it until she picked me up and headed for the treat box. Now being in the treat box on the floor or the bed was one thing, and I could even tolerate when Mom would pick the treat box up and carry it around while I was in it. Well, I struggled and resisted a little, but Mom is a lot bigger than I am so it didn't do much good. I was in the treat box on top of this big thing she had built. I got my treats for sitting there and she let me back down. All was good. Welllll, the next day (Saturday) Mom takes the thing she built and went outside with it and rode around on it for a few minutes. Then she came back in the house. We heard her coming up the stairs, or so we thought. When the "person" got to the top of the stairs we were sure it was an alien! It had a deformed head - unusually large. Pippi and I barked and backed up so it couldn't get us. Then it spoke. It was Mom's voice. Oh the horror. Mom abducted and altered by aliens! Pippi got brave and stretched out to sniff and see if it was really Mom. I can't tell you how relieved we were that it really was Mom and not some alien. She was wearing something she called a bike helmet. Well, and relief was short lived. She picked me up and took me outside next to the thing she had built. She called that a bike. She started to put me in the treat box on the front of the bike, but I used my Chihuahua death grip to prevent that. Alas my strength failed me and I was put in the treat box after all. Maybe it was really an alien and not Mom after all. I was fastened in the treat box, Mom got on the bike and we started to move. What the heck?!! And then I felt it ... so refreshing ... kind of exciting ... the wind in my face. Oohhhhhhhh, I put my nose up a little. Just feel that breeze. So the treat box has multiple kinds of treats. Both the tasty kind and this new treat - a breeze in your face. Well, we rode around for just a short time then headed back home. Mom got me out of the treat box and took the helmet off her head, it really was her, and back in the house we went. I was jumping around and telling Pippi all about it. I hope we get to do that again soon!

I gave Mom a scare last night. I tried to jump up on something and didn't quite make it and fell and hit the floor. I never yelped or cried out or anything but wouldn't put any weight on my back left leg. Mom petted me and carefully felt all over. I didn't seem to mind - just stood there. Wouldn't sit down or do much of anything. She finally put me on her lap and I carefully settled down and stayed very still, eventually falling asleep. Well, Mom let me sit there for a long time, but had to get up after a while. She put me down on the floor. At first I still wouldn't walk on that leg. Then after a few tender steps I started using it. The rest of the evening I went back and forth between using it and not. Same thing this morning. So Mom took me to the vet. Turns out my knee cap is slipping in and out of place. The vet said I will need surgery at some point. The good news is it doesn't have to be right away. The bad news is he said once the knee cap starts doing that it will probably start happening more often. He also said the surgery has about a 90% success rate. What they have to do is deepen the grove that the knee cap goes in ... or something like that. Mom was feeling a little sick and squeamish when the doc was talking about it and said she didn't need a whole lot of details. BOL. At this point it's anti-inflammatory/pain medication and see how I do. Mom will decide then when to do the surgery. If we can put it off a bit we will, but if I'm having a lot of trouble we'll go ahead. So far this evening, no limping, but also no trying to get up on anything at all. No tail on auto-wiggle either. :(

Seems like Mom has either worked late, painted or moved furniture for the last few weeks. It's been a busy time for her and boring for Pippi and I. After two years (that's before I was born!) of not having furniture in her bedroom Mom bought an armoire, a chest of drawers and FINALLY got her bed fixed where it would make it up the stairs. It's a canopy and the posts didn't come apart ... until this week. She had someone cut them and make them so they will screw back together. Boy was she nervous about that. Looks good though. Have to look close to tell where it was cut. (Whew!) Anyway, this thing sits really high off the ground now. Mom put the little doggie steps and a little table next to the bed so I can get up there. I ran right up. So much easier to get to her face and lick it when she's standing up now. Pip wouldn't come up though. So I barked and tried to tell her the way. Then I ran circles around on the bed and wagged my tail until I almost wore it out and barked and flipped around and said nah-nah to tease her .... cause she couldn't get me. Tee hee hee. She will finally come up sometimes now (after two days), but most of the time wants Mom to pick her up and put her on the bed. Not me. I have discovered I like sitting in high places.

A tongue in her ear doesn't get quite as good a reaction, but still pretty good. Oh, and the other night I discovered a new one. Her belly button! Wish you could hear the noises she makes. I think they are just great. Does anyone else do this to their family?

I have found something that is more fun and better than cat nip toys. It's a little red dot that goes all over the place! Mom called it a laser pointer. I chased it all around the room. Back and forth and round in circles, but never could catch that thing. That little red dot can move fast and disappear all of a sudden, but what a lot of fun it was. I hope it will come out and play again tomorrow. I was having som much fun when I finished playing with that dot that I chased my tail for a while. BOL

Snow! We got a little snow today, and it was still around when Mom got home. It was melting, but there was still some on the grass. So Mom bundled Pippi and I up and took us out. My first snow. Part of the grass didn't have any snow, and that's where I stayed most of the time. I was chewing on the grass. When I would walk through the snow Mom said I was walking funny. I don't even like wet grass! Pippi was really enjoying the snow. She was walking all through it and eating some. Mom tossed a snow ball over near her and she pounced on it. Then Mom was tossing more and Pippi was running and jumping up and trying to catch them in her mouth. Or she would run and eat the snow out of Mom's hand. It wasn't long before my little feet were cold and I was ready to go in. Mom carried me for a few minutes before putting me inside, but she finally did. She and Pippi stayed out and played a little more. Hopefully it won't be all ice in the morning. It was pretty wet out there and temps were dropping low enough tonight.

Alright Pal! You made it here. I see you caught my foot ball pass. Here is what you should do next! Hurry and pass the ball to 5 of your team mates so they can make a touch down! You are also suppose to write down 5 things about yourself that are funny. Also please leave me a bone and ask all those who visit your diary to leave you a bone so you will know they have been there ok! OK Here goes the play!

1. I bark when Pippi barks even though I don't know what I'm barking at.
2. Mom will never have to clean behind her ears. I do them for her multiple times a day.
3. I like to sit on top of Pippi and chew on her ears.
4. I like to play with cat nip toys.
5. My favorite song to dance to is a cat song.

I am tagging some friends I know and some I'd like to know better:

Well, Mom and Pippi went out without me again this morning. They went to class and I stayed with the cats. That's OK though. They brought me a nice fleece shirt home. It sure has felt good today, too. Nice and snugly for napping in.

This evening I got to go out with Mom and Pippi had to stay home. I would have been happy for Pippi to come with me. We just went to Grandma's house. Usually Pippi is the one to be wild there. I get a little wild, too, but no one notices much because Pippi is wilder. Well, tonight they noticed. I ran around Pippi's "race course" ... through the living room, into the dining room, on to the kitchen, and back to the living room. I'd like to think I have more style than Pip with my hops and leaps as I race for the couch at the end of the course. Tee hee hee. I was feeling pretty good this evening. Even chased my tail a few times. Went back and forth between Mom and Grandma seeing who would pet me more. BOL!

The only bad thing about the evening was having to get out in the cold! Mom even made me wear three layers. Good thing because we saw snow on the way over there. Wasn't sticking, but it was snowing just a little.

We went to Paws in the Park this morning. We got there shortly after 10:00 and were a bit early. They were just setting up. So we took a nice walk through the park. I love it when we go for walks in the park. Mom had me bundled up nice and warm when we left the house. The Weather Channel said it was 42 degrees and I have been so cold lately. Well, my coat is about to get too small and I felt like some puffy snow person in it, but I must admit it was warm. after we walked a bit and I warmed up and the temp warmed up, Mom switched me to a lighter coat. Much better for running around in. We went to check out the booths and the dogs and the people. Mom says I have really improved from the first time she took me out to something like that. The first time I was overwhelmed and scared and didn't enjoy it. Now I'm not saying I was as social as Pippi today, but I held back a little but checked things out. I even went to see the Great Danes. I have a thing for Great Danes. For some reason I always want to check out Great Danes. What can I say. I'm attracted to the tall, dark, handsome type. BOL! Mom talked to someone about Canine Good Citizen testing for us some time down the road. Pip is a LOT closer than I am. Can't remember everything they said they test but here's what I can rememeber. Meet a friendly person: RUN AWAY! Who are you kidding. Meet a friendly dog: Can we make it a Great Dane? Behave with distractions: I tend to stay close to Mom and out of trouble. So that ought to be a check. Loose leash walk: I weigh five pounds. How much pulling do you think I could do? Anyway, I tend to stay pretty close to Mom. So another check. Doing a sit/stay with some distance: uh, no. First of all, will I have a blanket to sit on? It's getting cold out you know. Second, if there are treats around I am going to be jumping up and down on my hind legs. Third, if Mom takes a step away you better believe I'm going with her. Doing a down/stay with some distance: see my respone for the sit/stay. It ain't happening. Three minute seperation from Mom while I'm with another person: are you nuts?!! What are you people trying to do to me? This would probably be a great big no. I know there were some other things, but I'm so distraught thinking about being left with PEOPLE while Mom goes away for three minutes that I've blocked all else out of my mind. I'm worn out just thinking about it. I have to go take a nap now.

Mom finally turned the heat/air over to heat yesterday morning. She didn't think it was bad but I was cold. She put a little t-shirt on me and a light jacket. Well, when she came home I had managed to get the t-shirt off and the neck opening of the jacket was around my chest! It's a jacket that slips over your head and the sides hook together. Mom really had to work hard to get it off. It seemed too tight to go down over my ribs and she didn't think it would come back over my shoulders and arms to get it over my head. She thought she was going to have to cut it. Tee hee hee. She finally got my front paws back through and slipped it over my head. She said she didn't know I had to be supervised with my clothes.
We got to go up to the Foothills Parkway with Mom today. First we went and walked up to the observation tower. Mom was huffing and puffing and Pip tried to pull her up part of the hill. She would have to catch her breath which gave Pippi and me time to look around a bit. We went up to the top of the tower. It was a bit cool up there and even Pippi was glad that Mom made us were coats. It was foggy and we couldn't see much. On the way back down I barked at some nice people who were on their way up. Mom fussed at me over that. Once we got back down we took off our coats and switched to t-shirts. We headed back towards 321 and stopped to look at a few of the pull outs. When we got back we were going to walk a bit of the part that is normally closed, but we found out it was open today. Yeah! So we got to ride instead of walk the mile uphill to the first pull out. Mom put Pip's window down for a little bit. She didn't want me to get cold. She doesn't usually put the windows down! She even opened the sun roof for part of the way. Mom said it is open again tomorrow and we may go back and find a good pull out to park at and walk a bit more of it this time. So we're loving this cooler weather. Mom said we could do more walks when it cooled off. Once we got back we all parked ourselves on the wicker sofa on the sun porch. The sun started coming in and it felt so nice. We all ended up stretching out and taking a little nap. What a nice day it has been.

Mom took Pippi and I to the Smoky Mountain Critter fest today. I did much better than last time. I didn't hide behind Mom and tremble the whole time. I even stretched out and checked out some other dogs, I only curled my lip once when a big dog was checking me out, and I let people ... even kids ... pet me. I did tremble once when two kids were getting a little to close in my face for comfort. That was it though. Pippi, as usual, loved the whole thing. The more the merrier for her. Personally I think Mom should have entered me in the cutest pet and the fastest licker contest. For the latter Mom would have had to put peanut butter on her nose and see if I could lick it off before all the other dogs got it off their ower's nose. BOL! I love to lick Mom's face so that would have been a bonus. We didn't get to see it, but heard a little of the loudest bark or howl contest. I think I may be glad we were not too close for that one. Then again who knows. I might just have joined in. I'm glad Mom took us, but boy were we both pooped when we got home!

Luckily she didn't mind this time and got up and got us dressed (didn't know what she was thinking). By 6:30 AM we were all walking out the door. The air was nice and cool and I was glad I had that silly bumble bee shirt on. It felt good, but not as big as it used to be. Wonder why Mom shrunk it. Mom mixed up our walk today. She went down streets we don't usually go down and took different paths in the park. She took us on a longer walk than usual, too. We ran into our neighbor dogs, then half way around the block we ran into them again. The cool morning walk was kind of nice. And getting Mom up early was fun. Tee hee hee.

I made it. I graduated from my puppy education class. We started off by playing a game where the first one says what they would do at the park, then the next one has to do that and add something, and so on, with the list getting longer and longer. I got to start and my first thing was to go and hide. (Tee hee hee) Miss Marti (the trainer) said I could pick that as mine. So all the other dogs had to hide each time it was their turn. The next dog added sit. I can do that. Then lay down was added. Once I got a blanket to lay on I could do that one. (That floor is cold there.) There were only three of us in class today so it was back to me. I added a high five. I am great at those! Then a sit up and beg was added. I had a little trouble with that. I tend to stand up and dance rather than sit and beg. The next dog was going to add a roll over. Luckily she didn't feel like doing that today after all. If she had I would have been out. I don't do roll over! Not even close! I won't even lay on my side and if Mom tries to hold me on my back in her arms I go crazy and panic!! So I was glad when that dog did sneaky, sneaky instead. With a little help from Mom to hold my butt down I did it. I added dancing in a circle. The other dogs had a little trouble with that one, but they did pretty well. We decided to end the game there. And luckily with all that sitting and laying down on each turn that counted for our test. We didn't have to go out in the store at busy spots and do that like Pip did when she was in class. Next we had to go meet three dogs and three people. We found one dog right away and it went OK. I didn't snarl. We lasted our three seconds and were on our way to find another. There just weren't any others in the store at the moment so we met the other two from class. It went OK, too. Again, no snarling or snipping at anyone. Then Mom picked me up in her arms and we went to meet three people. She cheated me on that one. The first group she walked up to had four people, and the second group had two. So I really met seven people in all. I survived though, but I'm going to have to help Mom learn how to count. Next we had to do "leave it" while walking past some treats on the floor. I don't have any trouble with that one. I'm too busy watching everything around me to notice what's been left on the floor. Then we did come when called. For that Miss Marti holds my leash while Mom runs to the other end of the aisle and then Miss Marti lets go when Mom calls me. We're supposed to sit at the end - right in front of Mom. Well, I ran to her as fast as I could - had to get back to her where I was safe - but instead of sitting right in front of her I sat under her. Safer there you know. Then we had to loose leash walk back to the training room. Piece of cake! Pippi is always telling me she is going to have to show me how to do things. Well, loose leash walking is one I will have to show her! She tends to pull a LOT. That was pretty much it. So I passed. Yeah! Now I'm off to take a nap. Class always wears me out.

The ducks can have that old bread. I thought the duck poo was much tastier. Mom kept trying to get me not to eat it. She stepped in some trying to keep me away from it. Tee hee hee. After we finished feeding the duck we walked back over to the main section of the park. Mom keeps our leash short when we are near the street, but once the path moves in some or we cut across the grass she lets us have all the leash we want - if no other people are dogs are around to bother. I just love that. Pip goes wild and I run circles around Mom. We had a good walk - not too far this time. Mom was still wish it were cooler weather. Maybe by then I will have her and Pip in better shape. :)

We have a perfectly lovely park near the house where we can walk, but for some reason Mom decided to go somewhere else to walk today. She gathered up a ton of stuff and took it to the car. Then she took Pip and I to the car. Can you believe she didn't put us in the front seat. She put us in the back. How does she think I am going to see out from back there. I know she had a little basket fixed up for me, but I couldn't see out the front. Luckily we didn't go very far. It was a pretty place for a walk. We had to walk up hill for the first part of it. I stayed right with Mom most of the way. I usually do. Pip likes to run out in front. Sometimes I go up and walk with her, but most of the time I stay with Mom. Pip and Mom are so out of shape. They were both huffing and puffing, but not me. I didn't start to pant until we were coming back down the hill. I sure was glad Mom brought some water for all of us. Took Pip and I a bit to figure out that water bottle thing. Well, Mom ended up carrying Pip back part of the way. She did that for a bit and then put Pip down. Wasn't long before Pip decided she had had enough. She sat down and wasn't going anywhere. Well, Mom picked Pip up again. Wasn't long before I was starting to feel a little tired, too. So I told Mom. She put Pip down and we all rested for a bit. Then we walked just a bit further and there was the car again. Pip and I slept most of the way home. Once we got there Mom slept with us. Whew! That wore us all out!

Mom came home with a thing called a mirror. I was not sure what to think of it at first. It took me a bit to decide to go closer and check it out. As I got closer I saw there was another dog in there! I growled and snapped at it, and it did the same to me, but had no voice. I'm still not 100% sure about that thing, but do enjoy getting ready to pounce at the other dog. We've come to an understanding. I won't go into it's mirror and it won't come into my room.

I went to my first Puppy Education class today. Not sure why Mom signed me up for that. I think I've been doing a pretty good job being a puppy. I was a bit nervous and trembled a lot in class. I did get brave and stepped away from Mom enough to sniff a couple of other dogs and some shoes. I wanted to go over and check out a Doberman on the other side of the room. She looks like Pippi only bigger. This Great Dane puppy kept coming out to meet though before I could get there and I just wasn't too sure about that. So I turned around and went back to Mom. Speaking of Mom, she was trying to get my attention in class. Even tried to temp me with treats. Now I like treats at home, but what was she thinking there? I had to keep my eye on that lot. I couldn't look away, even for a treat. We'll have to see how this goes.

Mom has been letting Pippi and I play out on the sun porch lately. It's nice and long so we can run back and forth and really get going! Mom says I get very bouncy and just hop and pounce my way across the room. Pippi and I chase each other and get to look out the door and watch everyone going by from there. Pip is getting pretty good at stealing the cut flowers from the vase Mom sets out there. I really like spending time out there.

Mom got me some doggle tonight. She put them on me and I wasn't too sure about them. She said they would keep the sun and the camera flash out of my eyes. Then Pippi, my Min Pin sister, came over and started trying to chew on the doggles ... while I was wearing them! Mom helped me get them off, and then she put them on Pippi. She had them off in under two second and was chewing on them. Well, Mom had to chase Pippi around to get them back. Then she put Pippi in another room and put them back on me so she could snap a few pictures. Still not totally sure about them, but I don't think they will be too bad ... if Pippi will stop chewing on them while I'm wearing them.

Mom got Pippi and I some matching denim shirts. Mine is just a little bit too big, but Mom thinks I may grow into it still. Don't know why she thinks I should be bigger than 4 lbs. -- I don't think Pippi liked her shirt. She worked for 10 minutes trying to get it off. Mom finally helped her, then she started trying to get mine off, too. I don't mind mine though. I think it feels good with this fan going in here! Hopefully soon Mom can get pictures of me in my new duds and post them here.
