I have been pretty down-in-the-dumps since my big brother Trustine went to the bridge. So my mom Margie knew this and when she went to Petsmart the other day? She brought me a present! She said "here Anne, here is a new baby for you" and it was a stuffed squeaky toy - that had a nice face. I immediately took it and bonded with it. I went upstairs to my mother Babs' room and went on her bed with my new baby. I told him that he was my baby now. I made him squeal and squeak. And everytime he did that, Kylie cried. BOL! Kylie came to the doorway while I was bonding with my new baby. And I put that baby under my chin and GRRRRRRRRRRD at Kylie to get the h-e-double hockey sticks outta here. I don't want him ANYWHERE NEAR MY NEW BABY! I DON'T WANT ANYONE NEAR HIM - HE IS MINE MINE MINE. Then I told my baby that I would make him more comfortable and more MINE. I took all his stuffing and squeaker thing out and he told me "yes, Mama, I feel better now" and then we stayed on the bed for a few more hours.
Later on when I was very bad to Kylie my mother Babs said "It
is time for you baby to go night-night now" I was ready for him to go to sleep. She took him somewhere out of the bedroom. I don't know where. But it's two days later and he's still doing night-night. I think I want my baby back NOW!

And I turned Three Years old! I love love love my birthday! I get treated really special all day - by everyone, like a Princess!
AND! Because there are five of us? We only really have cake and ice cream on one birthday - MINE!
But because my birthday was on a Saturday - even better is that we are having the cake and ice cream and singing today, Sunday, so I have been treated like a Princess for not one, but TWO whole days!
Another great thing about my birtday? Is that it means Spring is just around the corner! YAY!

I love my brother Oliver Louis - even tho sometimes we disagree on certain things such as cookie crumbs that I go for that are really his and vice versa. But I love to play with him and go outside with him and just see what he's doing. Granted whenever he comes into my mother Babs' bedroom I growl at him - hey I growl at everyone - because that is MY BED! And I always always wind up sleeping with him at some point during the night - I act all cutesy - but he never ever is mean to me like I am with him.
So in this day and age if I was to get a tattoo? It would include all of my brother's names - but his? Would probably be first! BOL!

My Mum (Margene) says that she can tell exactly who's poop she is scooping by size and/or location - I say "how can this be?" So this evening while she was scooping the poop - she explained it to me - said that the teeny tiny ones that were in the courtyard - always Kylie - and by golly she's right! The big turds - she knows are the Mooser's. The big turds with toilet paper and/or tissue that are sort of staggered? All Trusty! And she's RIGHT! The long medium size ones? All Oliver Louis - and again! She is spot on! (Get it? BOL! I said "spot on" because it was OL! hee-hee!) and the medium sometimes bordering on large? Mine! And again! She's right! and she knows where we all like to poop! Holy moly! That's a real mother for you! She did say that when my other mother, Babs gets back from Cortland with Johnny - she is hanging up her scooper for at least two weeks - and my mom Babs told her she would happily scoop - that's how much she misses home and us! I can't wait for my mom Babs to come home so I can see if she can identify all the poops, and I bet you? She can. That's what mothers do!

Tuesday was the best and worst day of my life. The best part was when Oliver Louis and I escaped and went over to the cows and rolled in manure and mud and ran around all willy-nilly. It was a blast. But I knew that I should be home - so I ran back to where we got out and barked and barked and barked till Mum came out and saw me. She was not happy. She was really NOT happy when that stupid girl came over and told her that we both almost got hit by a stupid car. And then? SHE was MAD! Because she saw all the mud allover me and OL. That's when the worst part of my day began. Because even though I am a golden? I am an anomaly - I do not particularly care for water! And I got bamboozled into the bathroom and then - AUGGGGH the bathtub! I do NOT NOT NOT like the bathtub! And she was angry! Because I resisted! At one point? My body was in the tub and I was trying my darndest to get out and Mum? Had my head inbetween her legs trying to keep me in - finally I calmed down and gave in. Mum told me I had so much DIRT on my tail and hiney she couldn't believe it - finally it was over. I got out and Nana was there with a towel - Nana said to Mum "even wet she's four shades lighter!" I still didn't like this whole scene - was wishing my other mother Babs was here. But she is with Johnny and we are all praying they will be home soon. So I guess I got what I deserved for doing what I did. Still? Except for the car part? It waa really fun! But Dudley's right - Oliver Louis is a bad influence!

Last week was my annual vet visit. I have one thing to say about this: Grrrrrrrrrr!
That's what I did when I got there - grrrr'd at everyone and every pup in the waiting room. Grrrrr'd at the entire staff - even Areanna who is our babysitter and stays with us with her Pooka and Marley when my family goes out of town! And I especially GRRRRR'D at Dr. P!
I know, I know - you doggies are saying "Anne! What's the matter with you! You don't have to be afraid! You have four brothers for goodness sake that you are all over!" Well - that's different! Sigh, I guess Dr. P is right - I really need to get out more! But I LOVED coming home and tormenting ALL FOUR BOYS! BOL!!!

Okay every single night this is what happens - my Mom, Margene takes big FAT Dudley and the go into the front yard and hang out for a bit - Duds tells me they are looking at the flower and veggie gardens and weeding and she talks to him and blah blah blah. When I asked him why is he the only one who gets to do this? He told me "because I listen to Mum and I don't go running away". Well this just annoyed me! And apparently it has really annoyed Oliver Louis as well. So I dug the hole and he slipped out first. Came prancing around the corner and I heard Mum say "Hey!" "What the hell!?" And he and Duds were escorted in the front door. So I slipped through - cause I knew she was still out there and it was safe - and I was running and running and running around that front lawn saying "Whooooo eeeeeee! Look at meeeeeeeee Mommieeeee!" and she said "Anne Marie!" and then we went inside.
Today I checked - and she took one of the biggest rocks I've ever seen and plugged up my hole! For the love of (as OL says!) Bob Barker!

And! To make it an even better day? The SUN! The sun has finally come out! No more rain. Thank you! And as far as Oliver Louis is concerned: here's what I say to you OL - everyone deserves to be a diary pick - not just you because you are the "writer" in the family - and! It's okay when you need me to sing on a jam session for you, but when I get the honor of being a diary pick of the day then all of a sudden I am a "teenage girl" - go do poop-poo on yourself. There, I feel much better now!
And really this diary pick thing is SWELL! Let me go and tell Trustine and the Mooser - they'll be so excited for me!

Well, as I am sure all my pals can see from the pictures on my page, my birthday extravaganza celebration that was last Saturday - was the BEST ever!
And now this Saturday? I find out that I am a Dogster Diary Daily pick! Woo-hoo! Naturally Oliver Louis is a bit peeved, because he thinks his diary is THE Diary in the house - but hey! Just because I don't report on American Idol or current events? Doesn't mean I don't have important stuff to say!
Like for instance, today it is raining and very windy out. So my plans for today are really just bed-hopping. From Nana's bed to my mom Babs' bed and then down to my mom Margie's bed. And in between I will play with Trusty, Dudley and OL and torure Kylie! BOL! That's important stuff to me!

Last night I was downstairs with my mom on the sofa - and all of a sudden? I heard barking and growling - and it was coming from the tv~!
Mom laughed at me and said "that was when those dogs were bad - a few years ago - they are good doggies now - thanks to the Dog Whisperer" I had no idea what she was talking about!
Then I saw what she meant - because they switched to the doggies and how they are today - and they were very well-behaved! And their people? Were VERY happy. And so was the Whisperer. Mom explained that it was a "follow-up" show - some of the past bad doggies that were on and how they are today - and they were ALL GOOD! How do you like that!?
And this Whisperer guy? Had a bigger pack than we have! I was really into that show. I would like to watch it again.

I just love the fact that I have four brothers. This way? Whenever I want to play - which is usually ALL THE TIME - there is always somedog willing to play with me! Last night it was Trusty for a while - and then when he got tired and went upstairs to Nana I played with Duds for a long time - we rolled around and around and around on the ground and rough-housed and it was so much fun!
No wonder I sleep like a baby!

That's what I am doing these days. All day - with Trustina. He has taught me how to be bad beyond my wildest dreams.
Last night - I very quietly took some Christmas tree trimmings out of a bag and silently headed upstairs with it. Along with a BRAND NEW finger-less glove of my mom's. When she saw that I was missing along with the trim (she had NO IDEA about the glove - ha ha!) she yelled up to my other mom and Nana - but they kept saying I wasn't up there - because I was hiding in mom's bedroom with my booty.
Well, what a surprise to find me with the trim and the glove - (!) for those two upstairs.
Yes, I am bad, but my mother Babs says it's because I am "a baby girl" and my mother Margene says "no - it's because she's with Trusty all day!" I have to think it's a little bit of both!

Well Saturday my mothers came home with this frilly, pink velvet frock with a big black bow on it. And guess who it's for? Yup! Me. Now don't get me wrong, I love being a girl - but I am just not into these types of frocks.
I am a tomboy! I live with four brothers! And yet they insist on buying me these silly things.
For Halloween? My mom Babs bought me an Angel costume! Ridiculous!
Recently my mom Margene bought me a Santa sweater coat - well - that was actually supposed to be for Oliver Louis - but he was too large for it - BOL! That wasn't too bad - I wore it for a bit.
But this pink thing? They put in on me - and then expect me to be all dainty!
The first thing I did was wrestle Dudley to the floor and roll allover with him! They did not seriously think I was going to sit there and be pretty and dainty and girly, did they? BOL!

Well guess what? Right after I wrote in my diary about my boo-boo? I got so much love from many of my pup pals! Kirby-Kirbs gave me a rosette and told me it was a little known fact that Pumpkin Pie was a great healer of boo-boos! Thanks, Kirbs! And Winnie made a comment that he hoped my brothers were looking after me because I am "the baby" - and yes, Winnie - they are very much looking after me - well, except Trusty yesterday because there was lots of cookie baking going on - but today he is very attentive. Both Ollie Lou and Duds kissed my boo-boo for me and Kylie, well, he let me bite him on the neck the way I like to when I am playing with him! BOL!
And with all the love coming my way I am feeling even better now!

Well I got a boo-boo. On the side of my face. Because Mom found a tick there and when she pulled it out - I pulled away at the last minute and part of it was still stuck in me. Ewwwwww. So off to the vet I went on Friday.
When we got there - there was a little dog - A Pekingese my mom called it - in the waiting room - and without any of my brothers there I was a little afraid. Yes I was petrified of an ity-bitty doggie!
When we got into the exam room - I saw Dr. K and growled at him. And guess what? He had already gotten bit twice that day - so on went the muzzle - POOP!
I got antibiotics and some ointment and I already feel much better. Nasty ticks!
Oh - and I weigh 51 pounds!

Well guess what? Joey went to his NEW forever Home on Halloween! I have updated his picture - that is him and his new brother, Eli - sleeping at their house - they met at the Joey-A-Thon and were fast friends.
I am so happy for Joey - he is a great boy. And Joanne, the gal who found him, rescued and fostered him, had just lost her terrier, Becky who was 16, and her bunny - so Joey was a great help to her. But my mom says that God blesses special people like Joanne - for all they do for doggies and puppies and animals in general. She sent her an email and told her she was proud to call her "friend". Me too, Mom!

Joey is a new and special pal of mine. He was in a high kill shelter in the South until one of Mom's friends - Joanne - saw him on line and rescued him. He got sent up here, and had to have surgery on his little leg. He is the cutest thing - I will put a picture of him on my page for everyone to see. He was the guest of honor yesterday at the VFW in Carmel, that's where Rescue for Love held a "Joey-A-Thon to raise funds to help with this surgery costs. And while I couldn't attend, my mom did and brought them some lovely baked goods to sell and make some money with!
She said Joey is the cutest thing ever and that I would Love LOVE LOVE him! She knows that he is going to go to a great home and thinks she might've met his new parents yesterday. That makes me feel good.
We need more people in the world like Joanne and everyone at Rescue for Love!

I heard both my Moms talking about me to Nana - and the "B" word was being bantered back and forth. Now I wasn't really sure what it meant, so I really didn't pay too much attention.
Then when Kylie started looking at me all goofy, I kinda knew something was up. So I said "what's that face for?" He said "you're getting a bath, girl - a B-A-T-H!" and started shaking and ran away.
So - that did NOT sit well with me. But - I was busy with other things and didn't think about it until it happened.
Oiiiii - I did NOT LIKE BEING PUT in that TUB! And I don't care how supposedly nice the shower nozzle felt because it could be used in the bath felt - I WANTED OUT OF THERE!
Took both my Moms to do this. I will admit the lathering part was nice - and the rinsing, well I guess it was okay. And then THANK YOU! I was out! And I was getting toweled off - and they were using the GASP! Hair dryer on me! I am AFRAID OF THE FREAKING HAIR DRYER! So they stopped. And then they let me out of there! I ran right to Nana - and she said "Oh my goodness! You smell so pretty now - and you look even prettier!" Alls I wanted to do was ROLL AROUND! So I went on every bed I could and did that for a bit - and then I felt better. Now I have NO IDEA why Dudley would just STEP in the tub when Mom tells him too! And he acts like he actually enjoys it!
I have to admit - I am stunning - I mean I am beautiful to begin with but that bath did kinda put me over the edge of fabulous!

I was very very upset this past Saturday. Both my moms AND my Nana left! With overnight bags. So I was NOT happy. Then Areanna came over - I love Areanna. But! She had a big black girl doggie with her - named Pooka. Well, there's only room for one GIRL in this house - and it is ME! So I gave her a few growls but she kinda ignored me and was having lots of fun with Ollie. I was getting ready to start crying. But - wait - all of the sudden - another doggie appeared - a boy doggie - apparently Pooka's brother, Marley - and it was like kismet - our eyes met - our tails wagged - and we were off! Playing all day together and having a blast! I really really like him! And he likes me - and we had so much fun together that the day flew! And I forgot all about my moms and my Nana not being home with me. And the next morning? Right after they all left? I was starting to miss them! (Even Pooka!) but then? My Moms and my Nana walked in the door!

Well I have had this sort of Boo-Boo for a while - where I limp and then I don't. So Nana was very concerned because she thought perhaps I had Lyme's Disease.
I needed to get my shots anywag, so Mom No. 1 took me to see Dr. K and Dr. P on Friday.
When I got there? I didn't want to be there. When I saw Dr. K? I grrrrrr'd at him. When I saw Dr. P? I grrrrr'd at him too. But they both just laughed at me!
I weighed 54 pounds! Where is all of that weight? I certainly don't look it.
So, my Lyme's test came out negative, and I got my rabies and distemper and all the other stuff. Now I have to go back there for a Lyme's booster shot on August 7th. What is wrong with these doctors? Couldn't they just get it all over with at once?
Coming back in the car I was out like a light - that whole thing exhausted me.
When I got home to my other Mom and Nana and my brothers? Whew! Was I ever happy!

We only have neighbors on one side - that we can hear and see a little bit of. When we first moved here and Ollie Lou escaped Mum had to run into their yard in her pajamas and said to the man there "heck of a way to meet your new neighbors" to which he replied "My daughter is afraid of dogs". Mum was peeved as it was that he didn't even BOTHER to help get Ollie Lou - and his daughter was inside the house in her room for goodness sakes!
Anyway - why do I go into this? Because apparently his daughter has overcome her fear of doggies - because there is a little white girl doggie living over there now. And I WANT TO PLAY with HER!
So yesterday? I started digging at the chain link fence and holy cow! You'd think what I had done the everyone started yelling to me to STOP! and COME! What's the big deal? I just wanted that doggie to know I was interested in playing with her...........she's a little bit bigger than Kylie - but I bet I could still take her - BOL!
Then after I stopped doing the digging - Mum went and got a log and put in on the other side of the fence to block me in - and then said "Thanks Anne - now I have to go to Home Depot and get MORE railroad ties" whatever they are - I just sort of wanted to play with that white doggie!

Then on Saturday the pool men came and I barked at them!
Then on Sunday? Aunt Donna and Aunt Vicki came over to play cards and give me as MUCH ATTENTION as I wanted! Of course I do not appreciate being scolded for humping and biting Kylie - because that's what I do - but still got LOTS of love!

I really love books. I like magazines, newspapers, soft cover books, but I have to say the hardcover books? Are my absolute FAV-OU-RITES.
The spines are so nice and chewy! And the covers are always a challenge to remove.
Yesterday I went into my mum's bedroom and came across a lovely BRAND NEW Robert B. Parker HARDCOVER book "Night & Day". I really like Robert Parker - because he is a HUGE dog person and most of his characters in his books? ALL have a doggie! Spencer has Pearl, Sunny Randall has Rosie, and I think Jesse Stone has a GOLDEN like me! So naturally I chewed it up - and chewed it up good. Took the entire spine and hard cover portion off - and then heard big scream from downstairs when Mum came home later that day. Oh well, what does she expect? It was just sitting there on the FLOOR waiting for me! BOL!

Mum told me yesterday that this past Friday was exactly one year ago that she went and picked me up at Stewart Airport in my little crate. That she remembered how she couldn't wait to get that crate unfastened so she could get me out of there. And what a fat little roly-poly light girl I was. And then we went right to Nana's and she put me on the bed with her - and that's where I stayed. Sigh......I remembered too - and it seems like it was so long ago and then it seems like it was yesterday - all at the same time!
I love my family!

Wow! I feel just like the Princess that I am today! When I woke up both of my mothers were all excited and greeted me with "Happy Birthday, Baby Girl!" And I had special Italian bread toasty and some cookies - and I cannot wait for tonight! Because I am having special doggie oreos AND! Doggie Ice Cream!
My Nana Linda sent me a beautiful card - with pictures of us as babies and a nice picture of my mother, Rosie. I love that Nana Linda and Rosie! And Grandpa Larry and Michael too! And all the cows there - even though my mother Rosie doesn't really care for them.
Let's see - my brother Brinkley has some special birthday picutures that I saw - so my mom sent him the link to my dogster page. He's a big boy! Eighty five pounds!
And right now I am looking outside at the deer with my Nana and my brothers....
OH! And the best? This morning on the local radio show - the girl said "In Putnam Valley - with four big brothers - Anne Marie C. is One Year Old Today!" Isn't that great! They said my WHOLE NAME over the RADIO! Ollie Lou was extremely peeved about that - BOL!
I can't wait to see what the rest of my special day brings me!

That Oliver Louis is getting on my LAST nerve. He KNOWS the way I feel about my Mom's (Babs) bed - and yet he insists on coming in there every single evening and looking at me like "Well, you gonna let me up there or what?" And HE KNOWS THE ANSWER! I growl at him and tell him to bug off! But does that deter him? NOOOOO! He hangs out with that look on his face - the "gee I don't know what her problem is - I was just looking to spend some time with her" face. You know, one of the REASONS he has been christened the ACTOR of this family - is because of faces like this one! Anywag - he hangs out and when I finally stop grrrrr-ing at him - he gingerly steps over towards the top part of the bed - and jumps up so he can hang on top. Real deal? He wants to see if I have any bones up there with me - because I am a baby still and need to have bones to chew and he knows this and is a NOTORIOUS BONE STEALER! As Trusty is a flincher of all items FOOD, Ollie Lou is the FAMED FLINCHER of BONES and TOYS. And he is quite obnoxious after he obtains these items. Walking around with said item in his mouth looking at you like "what? what's wrong with you?" It is simply despicable behaviour and I cannot believe Santa is not aware of this!

My mom came and got me two nights ago - I was Soooooo Happy to see her I almost wet myself.
We went right home and she had her hand on me, petting me the WHOLE way. When I got home? My brothers was ALL so HAPPY to see me - and very sympathetic about my boo-boo.
It hurt me that first night - I was making little sounds because it did - but both my moms made me feel better.
And then yesterday? I would stay on the bed and if everyone left the room? I didn't feel like jumping off - so I would cry or bark and everyone would come running back in and stay with me! Pretty neat!
Then today? When I woke up I felt SO MUCH BETTER! Whew! I even had more energy that yesterday - and we had soooo much fun all of us playing out in the leaves in the yard today. So I guess it's official - I am on the mend! YAY~
