Hi pals! Sorry it has been so long since we have last barked! We just wanted to share a story with you guys. Recently one of our dogster friends, has run into some trouble & the family had to give up 2 of their beloved pooches. Sadly one of the was put down but the other, Smokey, was still waiting in the shelter. Other dogsters heard about it after reading about the situation in this thread and they just had to help him! So everyone started talking and wonderful ToTo stepped up and voluneered to foster Mr.Smokey! Isn't that great? Soon after transport was all figured out and they have already picked the day & planned everything out. Smokey will be safe & sound in notime, and will eventually be reunited with his loving family!

Now if you guys would like to donate to this amazing effort, an HQ approved fundraiser has been put together. You can check it out here! If you can help please do, and spread the word!

We will keep you updated!

Well we sure got a suprise when mom logged onto dogster and....BAM!! She saw our cute, adorable, and handsome faces on the website's front page. We where chosen as Dogster's Diary Of The Day, for our epic tail of mom helping Shelby (our neighbor's Sheltie)! Woot woot! Thanks dogster, you truly rock! Oh and we would also like to send a big woof of thanks to the following pups fur sending us grrrreat gifts & support on 15minutes of fame:

Chipper-for our blue rossette!
Zaidie-for our steak rossette!

Mollie-for our sweet congrats paw mail!!
Thanks pals you all made our "special" day even more special!!

Yesterday was also pawsome because mom finally took us on our daily walk, we didn't get one on Friday, Saturday, Sunday or even Monday! *GASP* But mom said it was nice out and she was feeling good again so after sniffing around dogster for a bit and mom giving Josh a haircut with the clippers for about an hour she told us to "Go get the leashes" and boy we did! We grabbed them and ran to the door before mom could blink, and after ten minutes of us dancing around in excitement & mom trying to clip on the leashes mom opened the door leading to the garage and quickly grabbed two "poop bags" before we dragged her out of the garage only to stop a minute later to pee on a bush that we have marked on about 1,0009 times just this month. Mom finally pulled us away from the bush & and we headed out, at the top of the street mom decided that since we had the honor of being diary of the day that we would celebrate by going down to the elementary school and run around in the soccer field for a bit.

When we got down to the school the first thing Josh did as soon as our paws hit the grass was leave a nice stinky present for everyone. But mom was just happy that she actually remembered her handy dandy baggie! So while she picked up the stinky mess we about made her fall head first into it when we found a patch of grass we just had to pee on but it was just out of our reach. After throwing away the poo mom let out leashes slack and we went on a sniffing a peeing spree. After almost an hour of sniffing, peeing, and being adored by 4th grade to 6th grade kids petting us and repeatedly saying "awww your so cute!" "Oh my gosh they are so adorable" and so and so forth we made our way home. At home mom gave us a big bowl of water that we lapped up in seconds, and we took a nice long nap. All & all it was a perfect day!

Thanks again pals, your the best!

Well mom saved the day today, kinda. A few hours ago Joshy was hanging out in the yard helping thelori with the backyard and Murph was sitting by mom while she was the computer. Everything was calm and then thelori called mama outside and told her to hurry, so mom put down the computer and Murph followed behind but had to stay inside because he isn't the best off leash. Mom was greeted by thelori and out neighbor Clark who asked her if that was Shelby (one of our other neighbor's dog, a female shetland sheepdog who is about 8 or so)as they pointed to the top of the culd-e-sac. Mom didn't see anything at first so she jogged up to the street and still nothing, then thelori told her that they last saw the dog sniffing around a tree on mom's left side. She jogged down the street and finally got a glimpse of a fluffy sheltie bootie, so mom yelled "Shelby! Come here girl" but the pup kept on walking on she was a dog on a mission!! Mom got a bit closer and called out again "Shelbs! Wana go on a walk? Come on girlie!" and finally Shelby turned around and mom was happy to see her sweet face. Mom ggot down on her knees and said "Come here Shelbs!" and she came running! When mom first moved in she used to walk Shelby a lot and hung out with her, so they go way back. Mom met up with her, and she was nearly out of breath because well lets just say mom isn't used to all this jogging, and picked up the fluffy girl only to be greeted with kisses. And she carried Shelby to her home, and her mama was very happy and was almost in tears because Shelby has never done anything like this and her mom said that it would be her worst nightmare if Shelby went missing of got hit by a car. Mom gave Mrs. Shelby a hug and left. Joshy was waiting at the very end of the driveway in a nice sit/stay and Murph was barking at the door, we gave her a good sniff down and gave her our smelly milk bone kisses.
Well gotta go

Hey pals hows it going? We have been good, though we are giving mom a hard time because she didn't take us on our daily walk yesterday because she was "tired" and "didn't feel good" cha moms! And then we didn't get our daily walk today because she was to busy!! So we have been giving her a hard time, but not to bad because we only started our daily 40minute walks about a week ago.

Oh also here is an update on our missing friends, remember to spread the word and keep an eye out especially you Kansas pups!! We will let mom do this part:

"I went to the shelter to volunteer today and learned both dogs did gomissing from their adoptive homes. Lance had been adopted a while ago, Jess only a few months ago. Lance jumped a fence & Jess went through a screen door, and I also know Jess has been missing for a few weeks now:( and not sure about Lance.

Human here, well I volunteer at a animal shelter (the same one I got my Murph from) and I update the adoptable dogs & cats petfinder pages. Well when I stopped by the shelter's website today I noticed we have 2 missing dogs. The dogs are already adopted and I have not heard anything of either one of them getting returned (but will let you know if I find out) so I think they where last seen in their adopted homes. Well any way for anybody who lives in Kansas please take a look, I know one of the dogs was last seen in Olathe not sure about the other. Here is the information:
Jesse:
Name: Jesse
Breed: Beagle
Color: Black & Brown
Sex: Spayed Female
Microchipped: Registration #4760764F21 - registered with Home Again
If spotted, please call us at 913-575-9826 (Melody)
or 913-575-9401 (Jason)
or 913-671-7387 (TPC Business Line).
*I had the pleasure of meeting Jesse & she is an amazing dog. Very sweet and friendly, and just an all around fantastic dog.

Lance:
Name: Lance
Breed: Labrador Retriever
Color: Black
Sex: Neutered Male
Microchipped: Registration #0A11284966 - registered with 24 Hr Pet Watch
If spotted, please call us at 913-575-9826 (Melody)
or 913-575-9401 (Jason)
or 913-671-7387 (TPC Business Line).

Please anybody if you even think you might have seen these dogs give TPC a call. I really hope these dogs find their ways home, sadly these furbabies are not the only dogs that have gone missing that where adopted from TPC. Last April a rat terrier went missing after she was adopted from the shelter, she was never found. And in October a beautiful pointer went missing from her adoptive home and sadly her owners decided they didn't want the dog & made no attempt to look for and she was never found.
I will keep you updated, if I know anything more.
Thank you in advance

Woohoo today is a good day! It didn't start off super duper good because mama had to stay up really late last night so she was a bit grumpy and very tired. But as the day went on it got better, the sun shined brightly and now it is HOT outside! Wow that is the first time we have been able to say that in a while!! Well when she got home after greating us and giving us some godd tummy scratches and head pats, she got on the puter and after sniffing around dogster she checked her e-mail and we got our first donated money for dog-n-jog!! WOOHOO! When mom saw who the donater was she wasn't suprised, it was "aunty" Trudy.Trudy isn't really our aunt, actually she is Harley's mom and our good furmily friend she is also the kindest and sweetest person ever. Ever. But sadly there is a very good chance she will be moving to Iowa, because she got layed off her counselor job because the other counselor was there a few years longer then she. We will miss her and Har bar bunches!!! Any who, she donated $20!!Wowzers, thank you so much Trudy! We lub ya! And if that wasn't good enough news, mom got another e-mail a few minutes later this one was from her dad forwarding the good news that her grandpa is in remission! WOOOHOOO! See gramps, was diagnosed with a terrible blood cancer about a year ago and there was many times when we almost lost him but he is one healthy guy now! Woohoo. Well gotta go.

Well sorry we haven't barked pups, been oh so busy. But work with thelori was pawsome and everything went great!
No on a more current topic....Dog-n-Jog is coming!!! Woohoo!! Last year was our first year and we had so much fun! Mom was so proud that we where on our behavior and Josh only growled a little bit at one pup, which is a big deal because we can be grumps when meeting new woofers. Joshy got to do some agility, it was more like a intro course but it was fun.(We won't do it this year though, we will do something new) And we of course had the best of fun looking through the booths and sniffing out goodies and getting lots of love. Then before we knew it, it was time for the 2mile walk we signed up for and boy oh boy that was fun!!And then we did our contests, sadly I (murphy) did not win cutest but I (Joshy) won the costume contes thanks to my pirate costume!! Woohoo!
Man it was fun. Mom is getting so excited for the event, even though it is on June 14th!! She really wants Joshy to win the costume contest again, and they think they came up with the perfect idea. Spock!! He has the ears, the peeps love Star Treck, and the event will be a week or two after the big movie comes out! Mom thought it may be a little bit hard to find the material but so far it is even harder then she thought!! They want to find a blue shirt for Joshy with a black collar and the thedavid is going to order the little trekie sign. But she can't even find a shirt (she has been looking on google) so we might have to get a white one and dye it blue and dye the collar black. Well we have a while, so it will work out!! Oh also mom just signed us up, herself and thelori and when you sign up online you get a free fundraising page so here is our page if you would like to donate. Every penny counts!

Ok first of all we did go to work theLori today(yeah!) but it was only for a hour (booo!). They guys finally came but put this stuff on it that was stinky but not the glitsa,(It was a stain & partial finnish), but theLori brought us anyway so we wouldn't step on the stuff and because it was so strong. But they are coming to put the glitsa on tomorrow, but theDavid is bringing us to work because theLori has to go see the human vet in the morning but will be with us at work the rest of the day. We like theDavid but not his truck, it is big and has a lot of stuff everywhere and smells funny! TheDavid wasn't completely thrilled to be the driver of three little dogs, oh yes three! Oh did we forget to tell you? Harley (the middle school dog) is coming over Wednesday morning and staying till Friday night. Ugh. We are starting to put up with him but he isn't a dog person, he is even more then we are! Oh and then Thursday night annoying cousin Baxter is coming over for a week! Grrr. (You can see a picture of us being forced to have a group picture on our page). He is 10months old and is such a puppy!! He is all wiggly, hyper, fluffy, and annnnnooooooyiiiinnnnnng! So Friday is going to be fun......NO! And Louie, the golden that lives two houses up from ours, will be watched by mama also. But he is staying at his house most of the time (mom likes to bring him down here once and a while). Oh and Milo (Baxter's kitty brother) might be staying with us also, now that is fun! Unless mom tells us not to chase him, then not so much.
Well hope you all have a much less hectic week then we are having! (BOL)

Woohoo! Tomorrow will definatly be a pawsome Friday! We get to go to work with theLori (mom's mom)! Because tomorrow these dudes will be putting this stuff on our floors that is toxic to living things so we have to stay out of the house for almost the whole day. F-U-N! Mom says it is easier because we don't have a cat at the moment so it is just us & the fire belied toads who will be staying at the neighbors house for the day. Murphy used to visit once in a while when his first year or two after joinging the family & Joshy went all the time as a pup (Grandpa would bring him a lot) so we can't wait to see the place again. See theLori & theDavid (mom's dad) own their own lawn & garden buisness and the office has a house set up. Mom is jealous because she wants to be there but she can't. We will tell you about our pawsome day tomorrow!

Well today around 3pm mom started putting stuff into a little backpack and kept saying the pawsome word "walk" but not to us but to the family.
And then she talked to Lori for tiny bit and got her shoes then cousin Emma got her shoes on and so did lil skin sister Gracie. Then they got the leashes! woohoo! So the girls put our leashes on and mommy put on her wittle backpack and Emma got to carry the waterbottle. And we were off to the park! We did pull alot though but we were so happy! After a little while we were there! And the girls let go of the leashes and ran to the green playset and of course we followed! And mommy put the backpack underneath the playset and the girls took off thier shoes, and they got a drink of water. And mommy (who had brought a bowl for us to drink out of) Gave us some nice cold water! Then the girls and mommy chased around in the field! Lots of fun! And then the girls had a race with us.
And then we went up on the hill and sat with the girls on the bench and chased some squirrels up there. But then we found a hole in the fence by were we were playing and we went on the other side! Wich is still part of the school park but no one is supposed to be in there. So mom had to crawl through the hole get me (murph) and Joshy saw a squirrel and gave mom the run around. Finnaly she caught us and she had to get us through the hole. Then we went off to the green playset again. And played with the girls and we got ot go down a little slide on thier laps! Then we got to go down the big slide! But by ouselves! First murph went but on his way down the curly slide he juped out and landed on his feet! And mom got a picture of it! And them Joshy went down and i Jumped out but almost hurt myself and mom felt bad so no more slide for us! We took a rest for a while and had some more water. And then it was time to go home. We were so hot and tired! At first Murph wouldn't move! And while we walked across the field Murph stopped a few times but after a while it was all good. Soon we were home and gulped down some more water and took some long naps on the nice cold wood floor. The girls were pretty pooped to. They sat on the couch and almost fell asleep watching TV.
It was so much fun! Here are the photos from the fun time at the park go and check it out :D-Fun at the park
