On Saturday, May 12th; I had to go to the groomer. I absolutely hate going there! I got the works, to top it off. My mommy had me shaved down too- I've been getting that doo for about a year now. I have been hiding under the bed or blankets, and not coming out since. I have decided to go on a hunger strike too- except for when it comes to treats. Mommy said that if I don't eat my dinner tonight, I wont get anymore treats until I do, because I'm just using them for my substance- and she thinks that I need the nutrition of regular meals. I'll be back to normal next week- at least by the end of the week, because my hair grows so fast, I wont have to continue walking around naked! Geez, its embarrassing!
I've been acting like its freezing, but mom isn't buying it, with the temp outside being 90, and the inside is set on 78.
How do I show her that I would like to try a differant doo?
Right now I'm just bald, (except for the top of my head and my hairy tail), and everyone thinks that I look so cute. I'm not a baby anymore and don't like to look cutsie when I run around naked...Geez

Well, today I went out in the backyard- it is fenced (privacy), and both gates were locked; and I'm checked on at least every 45 seconds... Not much time to explore places I know that I'm not allowed. I got out when mom brought the swimsuits and towels in to wash with the laundry, and she thought I was in napping with my borther and sister- I din't even bark at the sounds of my talking neighbors, or the little dog on the other side of the fence that was barking a little. It was real windy, and I lucked out! It blew the gate behind the BBQ grill almost right off it's hinges, and opened it enough for me to seize the moment! I didn't get too far- the next door neighbor came and told mom. I showed her, I growled at her viciously like- and she couldn't pick me up, she just had to go to the door and tell mom without me. When she told mom, she said "No, it can't be our dog- he's accounted for." The lady insisted she go look, and lo and behold, it was me... I know I should've snuck back in the gate before mom came out! Now the gate is rigged so much that a category five hurricane would have to take the whole fence for it to be open- and the gate would still be shut when the fence was found on the other side of town! Hindsite is always 20/20...
In my favor, however: Mom brought half of a fresh watermelon over to the neighbor that had compalined about me singing in the morning- she asked if he was sleeping better in the A.M., and he said yes, and think you! Mom said if he heard dogs barking now, it wasn't us. This is not by my choice, but mom's strict behavour after the compaint has worked. I got a treat that was not at lunch, or when dad got home- therefore, an extra one, because mom was proud! My brother and sister got one too, and they didn't have to go through all the suffering that I did. I guess they just aren't singers. They can bark one bark and stop- they just don't have the confidence that I have to be a superstar. Mom could just send me to American Idol, then she'd see...

Hi there. Once again, I am in trouble...
About a month ago, the neighbor came by and asked mom if she could please stop me from barking outside before 9am. He was real nice about it, but it really changed my daily life. She would always make me come in immediatly once I started, but now she was going to eliminate me even starting. My mornings now include the leash, even in the backyard!
Anyway, Friday when mom left the house for only 1/2 hour, she didn't think about the time, and the pool guy came to clean the pool while she was absent! I love barking at the pool guy through the window! I got so excited, one of the chairs wasn't pushed all of the way in on the dining room table, so I got up there, and in my excitement, I spilled a whole can of Diet Coke on the wood dining room table. Then, my brother went in the living room and pooped...
Mom was not to happy with us when she got home to say the least!
Yesterday, I started barking as soon as I woke up, and did not stop. It all started with that squirrel, then the big calico cat, and I don't know what happened after that- but once I got my bark on...I just couldn't stop! Mom was so mad at me. Gosh, I was just having a good time. And, I really like my singing voice.

Hi everyone, I'm Dusty. I'm the mischievious one in our family. I just love to play! I have a brother and a sister, and they are both just so lazy. You would think that my brother would play with me, he is two years younger than me, but no... He was just born OLD. My sister is a doorstop, and my brother just feels he is too above playing. I will keep trying...!
