She started out at Gracen's house in Georgia and she's been travelin' all over to play with different Dogster pals! She even went to Canada and went camping with River! :O *jumps up and down* She even went to the DC/Magic Meet-Up in California with Hershey and she met The Dogster Dog! :O *chases tail* OMD! Finally, Lulu got to my mailbox! She came from River's house and she brought a few stuffies and squeakies with her that us Tater Tots get keep! They have a business doing landsca ... As most of you know, I go to work with Momma and Daddy every day. They have a business doing landscape maintenance. They take care of keeping 30 - 40 yards all beautifur year-round. On Thursdays we go up Highway 58 to a place called Staffordshire. Staffordshire is a real pretty place out in the country where people who are old, like Daddy *giggles*, live in sort of a "park". At the end of the day, after Momma and Daddy have made 10 or so yards all pretty, we get to drive down a little dirt road, through the woods, to dump off all the grass clippings and trimmings from our truck. When we get just inside the forest, Daddy lets Momma and me get outta the truck, at a special place that Momma and me call "Bunny Lane", so we can take a fun walk in the forest while Daddy goes on down to the dump by his self. It's on these li'l walks in the forest that I get to run around like crazy off-leash! I always listen to Momma, like a good girl, and we both have lotsa fun. Well, this past Thursday while Momma and me were walking in the forest, Momma saw me start rollin' around on the ground and she knew I found sumthin' stinky. I always looove to roll in stinky stuff. *blush* Well, I sure did find sumthin' stinky! Momma ran over to me and she was jus' horrified when she got there and saw what I was rollin' in. She's not sure what it was, but it was black... and gooey.... and it had a whole buncha little white worms that Momma calls "maggots" squirming around in it! It was soooo pawsome! Momma didn't think so, though. *shrugs* OMD! You shoulda saw the look on Momma's face! :-O I thought she was gonna cry... or scream or sumthin'! She said "Teddi Suuuuuue! Noooooooooo!!!" So, like always, I listened to Momma and I stopped rollin' around and I looked up at her. I jus' don't unnerstand people. I mean, what the heck?! Maybe she was jealous and wanted to roll in it herself, I dunno. But anyways, she sure put a quick stop to my roll in the stinky stuff. When Daddy came drivin' up the li'l dirt road to pick us up, Momma wrapped an ol' towel around me, then picked me up and rode in the back of the truck with me to the other li'l dirt road that leads to my favorite swimmin' hole at The River. Yay! I get to go swimmin'! I loooove swimmin'! *HAPPY DANCE* Daddy took me down to the water and dipped me in and scrubbed me real hard and let the river wash me off. When I got outta the water I ran around like a crazy pup in the grass to dry off. It was wonderfur fun, but then I didn't smell the stinky stuff anymore. :( Well, not as much anyway. Momma taked a video of my bath in the river and you can see it on my page. When we got home from work, I got to take a shower with Momma! Showers are fun and I love 'em, but I wish Momma would skip the shampoo. Talk about stinky! *rolls eyes* I'll jus' never understand humans and the things they think smell good. Hmmmph! Momma clipped my leash onto my collar and she ran with me while I barked my head off and told those ol' chickens what for! Too bad Momma wasn't just a little bit faster. If she woulda just let me run without my leash, I know I coulda catched one of those chickens! I don't know what I woulda done with it when I caught it, but I know it wouldn't be out there buggin' my momma anymore! Chickens are pretty scarey, ya know! I have! *giggles* Momma and Daddy took me to a nice, stinky place ... cow?! I have! *giggles* Momma and Daddy took me to a nice, stinky place to dump off the yard trimmings from work the other day and while Daddy unloaded the truck, Momma took me for a walk. We went across the street to a big, green field with a fence around it. That's when I saw.... and smelled... the biggest, funniest lookin' dogs I ever saw! bol Momma told me those big, smelly dogs are called "cows". One of those dog cows came right over to the fence and Momma petted her nose! I wasn't quite sure that Momma was completely safe from that big, ol' dog cow, so I barked at her. You'll never believe the thanks I got for pawtecting Momma from that giant dog cow. Momma said "Teddi Sue! Don't bark at the cow! She's furiendly and she won't hurt us!" Hmmph! Well, I'm glad Momma was so sure. *rolls eyes* Then, Momma picked me up and held me right by the fence so I could get a good, close look... and sniff... of that dog cow! *YIKES* Yup. It was a little, teeny bit scarey, but I knew I was safe because Momma had me tight in her arms. Even though I was a 'li'l bit nervous, I was sooo curious! Thanks fur stopping in and reading my Diary! I don't often ask fur help with contest ... Bailey. He's the new baby brofur of Rocky and Mabelline, two of the pups who did a monumental amount of work to help find me and bring me home , back when I was a wee little baby and got stolen along with Mommy's car when we were up in Auburn, WA, about 300 miles from home. Bailey's mommy, Dee, had Mommy and I come to her friend's house fur lunch and pictures the day Mommy went to Seattle and picked me up from Jessica's house and brought me back home! Dee also went to check out a few leads and look at a couple pups to see if they were me, so Mommy wouldn't have to drive 300 miles! She spent hours and hours on the computer, registering me on lost and found sites, and emailing newspapers and tv and radio stations. Dee made up bunches of flyers and, with her family, walked all over Auburn putting them up in hopes that someone would see them and notice me and call Mommy to tell her where I was. Anyway, Bailey pawmailed me today and it seems as though he's in a huge photo contest through a radio station up in Seattle! He's made it to the top 10 out of 600 pups! YIPEEE! His momma is sooo excited and they asked me to vote fur Bailey and to try to spread the woof and ask my furiends to vote fur him, too. It musta been at least 6 inches deep and about 6 feet across. A grrreat size fur slappin' and biting the splashes! I had sooo much fun that later in the afternoon Momma and Daddy decided to take me to the river to swim! Mom said that would be much nicer than a mud puddle, but I really thought the puddle was fine. It was okay, though! The river is grrreat! Penny Ann got to come along, too, because she really, really loves to swim, too, even though she's a wiener dog. So, while I stood in the water up to my tummy, Penny Ann took a grrreat big dive right into the deep pawt, where the drop-off is! She can swim surprisingly well fur a pup with one-inch long legs and... well.... *whispers* a tubby, li'l tummy! *giggle* We both had a furrific time and Momma and Daddy had lots of fun watching us. Well, we got a big surprise a couple of wee ... no bird. Hmmm..... so, Mommy waited. While she was mowing the grass, she kept a watch out to see if the bird would come. Nope. So, when Momma finished mowing, she quietly, slowly walked up onto the porch. She went over to where the nest is and she stood up on her tippy-toes and peeked in. Baby birds! She couldn't really tell how many because she just peeked real quick then ran away so she wouldn't bug the momma bird. She just saw that there were at least 2 babies and she saw them move! So, Mommy went out across the yard and waited fur a few minutes. Sure enough, here comes the momma bird! She swooped right in there and landed in her nest. She was there fur a minute or two then she took off again. Mommy said she thinks the momma bird was going to find food to bring back fur her babies. I have a couple pictures on my page of the bird in her nest. Tomorrow we go back to Mrs. Bates' house so Mommy is going to bring the camera again. She hopes to get a picture of the baby birds poking their little heads up out of the nest. Or maybe, if we're real lucky, she'll get a picture of the momma bird feeding the babies! Wouldn't that be pawsome?! We aren't real sure how long the babies will stay in the nest before they're big enough to leave and learn how to fly, and we don't want to disturb the momma bird and make her abandon the nest, so Mommy will have to be real careful. If she does get any good pictures, I'll be sure and put them on my page and update my diary so I can share this totally pawsome miracle with all my furiends. So now Mommy has a reason not to hate the rain so much! Sure, it makes her job alot harder and messier, but it also makes worms come up above the ground so that momma bird can find some to feed to her little babies. :) I have to let Penny Ann back on the 'puter now so she can play the Dog Breed Photo Game, but be sure and stay tuned fur updates on how the momma bird and her babies are doin'! Who knew Spring time could be so beautiful and happy! It's so grreat to be home with Mommy an ... real home with my furblings, The Tater Tots, and my Mommy and Daddy! This Spring I am much happier and I'm enjoying the beauty of the season, here at home, in Eugene. I'm a lucky grrl. I get to go to work with my Mommy and Daddy every single day. Our job is gardening so we go to lots of different gardens each day. Every time we get to the next garden, I get to jump out of my truck and take Mommy fur a walk! The past couple of weeks we've seen some very beautiful sights and sniffed some very fun smells. Mommy showed me how pretty the tiny li'l blossoms on the Flowering Plum trees are. They're dainty and light pink with pretty dark purple speckles. I have fun chasing the petals when the breeze blows and they flutter to the ground! I see lots of pretty yellow flowers - Mommy calls them Daffydils - *tee hee* They look so pretty when they bob their pretty heads in the cool Spring breeze on a sunny day. They look sooo yummy, but Momma says I shouldn't eat them - I should leave them fur other pups to and their mommies to enjoy. I'm furry sad today to learn that our special and beloved furiend, Wilson, has gone to The Bridge. Wilson, his brother Cletis and their cousin, Tater, were major catalysts in helping to bring me home when I was lost and so far away fur so long. I'll miss my sweet furiend sooo much. Please accept my thanks fur all of the love, prayers, hard work and support that brought me back home to my family.......... Well, it is almost here. My furst and pawbably the most special Thanksgiving I will ever know. My family and I have so much to be thankful for and so many true, loyal and loving furiends to thank. As I lay curled up in my living room, in front of a warm fire, with my fur sisters and my pawents, I think of how blessed I am to be so loved and cared about by so many. This, the furst year of my life, has brought so much fur me to be thankful for. Starting in January, I was brought here to my furever home to be loved and cared for by my humommy and daddy. Not only am I lucky enough to stay together with my littermate, Link, but our older, full fur sibling, Zelda Marie, is here with us, too! And Penny Ann, our Doxie sister, is here to protect us and teach us respect and how to be good little pups. Life just couldn't have been better, when suddenly I found myself lost and alone and scared, missing my family, and wondering why I couldn't go home. When Mommy and I took a trip up to Auburn, Washington in April, someone decided to steal our car - and me, along with it. I was scared and didn't know who those strangers were. I wanted to be home with the family I love. I went to live with a nice lady, Jessica, who took good care of me and fed me and trained me and gave me a warm place to live. Still, I missed Link and Zelda and Penny. I missed my mommy and daddy and I wondered when they would come fur me and bring me home. I waited every day... fur a very long time, but still I couldn't find my family. Finally, one day, I went out fur a walk with Jessica and there she was!!!! My mommy! That was the happiest day of my life! I knew Mommy would come back fur me! I knew she would! Then Mommy told me the story of how she came to find me. When Mommy told our Dogster furiend, Sassy, and her mommy Sally, that our car had been stolen, along with me and Mommy's purse and all of her money, 300 miles away from home, Sally Fed-Ex'ed money to Mommy so she could have a good, hot dinner, get a safe, warm hotel to sleep in, and replace the medication that was in the car when it was stolen. Then Sassy woofed to all our pals in the Plus Forums and everypup decided that I needed to be found and brought back home to my family! Thank you Mommy Sassy and Sally! (((HUG))) Furry soon after, my super pawtastic and loving furiends, Tater, Wilson and Cletis created a Dogster group called Tater's Let's Help Find Teddi Sue Group, renamed "Tater's Let's Help Find Missing Pets Group" after I was found and back home with my family. That way Our Catster furiends and non Plus members could be involved. Mommy was sooo touched by that, that it made her cry. (Mommy did lots of crying while I was missing) Thank you, Tater, Wilson and Cletis, fur that beautiful gesture of love and support. Many wunnerful pups and kitties got right down to business and worked day and night, fur weeks on end, in that group, doing everything imageinable to help spread the woof and try to bring me back home. Many, many of our furiends put my picture on their Dogster pages and sent pal requests to all of the Washington state Dogsters to help spread the woof about me being stolen. If anyone knows who made the original "Teddi Sue Missing" picture, that so many pups used as their main pic while I was ...ummm, 'lost', I'd be super happy if you would pawmail and tell me who that was. *BLUSH* I'd like to send them a puppy hug and a pressie fur their page! Fur some reason, I'm thinkin' it was Rox? My wunnerful pal, Rocky, and his mom Dee, called upon a friend of theirs, Daina, who lives near Auburn (the city I was stolen from). The furst thing Daina did was to give my mommy $100 of her own money, so Mommy could buy meals, make phone calls and pay fur an additional night in a motel. Then Daina emptied out her PayPal account so she could use it to take donations from our wunnerful Dogster furiends to help Mommy afford gas to make trips back and forth to Washington to look fur me, check the pounds, check out leads, print and post over 1500 fliers, and perhaps even start a reward fund. This was such a thoughtful and generous act and it really was the only way that Mommy was able to afford to get out and physically look fur me. So many of our Dogster and Catster furiends donated to the fund, it made Mommy's eyes leak! A man working at a nearby convenience store where Mommy had posted a flier, called and said that he was 99% sure that he saw me, earlier that same afternoon, just wandering around, looking lost, in the mobile home park where he lives. Robert Whale, a reporter from a small Auburn community newspaper, the Auburn Reporter, wrote a story to help spread the woof locally, that I had been stolen. He hoped that the story would open up alot of eyes and ears in the search fur me. Then he wrote a follow up story after I had been found. Pawts of that story were a little bit off, but fur the most pawt, he got it right and I know he meant nothing but the best fur me and Mommy. A very caring and kind-hearted friend, Ginger, from Ginger's Pet Rescue, posted a $500 reward fur infurmation leading to my safe return - no questions asked. She also spread the word wide and far through contacts of her Rescue Service all through the state of Washington. Thank you, Ginger! You're pawesome and I love you! I'm not certain who started it, but a candle page was created fur me so my furiends and loved ones could light candles and send prayers fur me. Mommy still goes there sometimes, on special occasions, or when she's feeling especially happy - or sad - or grateful, etc... and lights a candle fur me. Daina gave me one of her furry own doggie crates, cuz I never did get mine back. It disappeared with all the other stuff from our car. Then Daina gave us a huuuge bag of snacks and goodies fur the 5 hour drive home, so Mommy wouldn't have to stop anywhere and leave me alone in the car. Thank you Daina! I love you sooo much! It started out with Mommy loa ... loooong time! It started out with Mommy loading all three of us Tater Tot grrls into the car! Just that clued us all in that we were in fur a real surprise! We all wanted to sit on Mommy's lap while she was driving, but she made us all sit in the seat next to her. So, we drove fur a looong time and then Mommy stopped and put a different tire on our car! She didn't seem very happy 'bout that, but she told us that we were goin' to get there no matter what!!!! *Hmmm.. Where, Mommy??? WHERE are we goin' to get???!!!* Then we drove some more (lots slower than we were drivin' before! ;) ) Next we stopped at a place where a man came out and took off the tire Mommy put on - and he put the other tire back on the car again! *Sheesh! What a waste of time!* So, off we go again! Mommy was back to drivin' fast again! *BOL* We drove an' drove - up big hills an' 'round curves an' down big hills. During this pawt of the trip, I managed to sneak over onto Mommy's lap! And she let me stay there! Then Penny Ann snuck over, too, and Mommy let her stay, too. Zelda Marie wanted on Mom's lap, too, but there wasn't quite enough room, so she sat up on the console and leaned against Mommy. The road was really curvey so Mom put her arm around Zelda to keep her from tumbling over every time we went 'round a curve! Needless to woof, we had a close and comfy (?) ride fur those 3 and 1/2 hours! BOL Finally the car stopped and Mommy let us out! We were at a great big park with lotsa grass and picnic tables... and some of our Dogster pals were there!!! Yup! We got to meet Princess, her fur father, Red, Scooter, and beautiful Dutchess! Mommy got to meet their mommy, Nancy, some of Nancy's friends, and her human daughter. Boy! Human mommies sure can talk alot!!! Even the man who watches over the park had his li'l pup there! She's a real young pup, fulla energy and sooo happy to have other doggies to play with. I can't remember her name, *BLUSH* but she is a real sweet li'l grrl. Nancy's friends had their handsome li'l weiner dog there. His name is Snoopy an' he looks jus' like Penny Ann, only way more masculine, of course! Us dogs got to run around and play and we all got along just grrreat! It was kinda cold, but not raining, and we just ran and played and that kept us warm enough. I couldn't believe all the presents and the grrreat big, huge, gigantic cake that was there! There were treats fur the dogs and treats fur the humans! I even got my furry own, special treat basket just fur me!!! How pawesome is that?!! Nancy said that's because I was such a brave li'l grrrl when I was stolen in Seattle and far away from home fur two months earlier this year. She said that all my pals were so happy that I found my way home, they wanted me to have a special surprise... just fur me! *BLUSH* I really wanna woof thanks to my furiends fur that special gift basket, and to Nancy fur organizing the meet-up and working so hard to make it such a special and happy time fur me and Mommy. She's a very special lady and we jus' really love her a bunch! And also, a huge thank you to the folks at Dogster fur donating pins, stickers, and t-shirts (fur humans & fur pups!) I got my furry own t-shirt, and so did Mommy! We had such a wunnerful time, so much fun!!! It was a furry special day that we will never furget! Nancy said she is going to plan another meet-up fur sometime next summer! We have great News !! ***** CHEYENNE IS HOME !!!! ********* This all started 5 days ago - when I got a call from a woman in Sea-Tac (BLESS HER!) who said she had been feeding a stray dog for about a month and she saw the posters and got a better look at Cheyenne and called to tell me that she would come into her yard to eat late at night - so I started camping out in front of her house just waiting - and sure enough she came for dinner each time - she was extremely scared and skittish at first - so for the first 3 nights all I could do is watch her from my car window - because if there was any movement she would bolt - but then last night ~~~~ Nothing short of a miracle happened last night! Cheyenne is here laying by my side and just last night - I was sitting out in front of that house again waiting for her to come running over for dinner - I had put her favorite snack in front of my car and a trail from the car to the food dish - and all of a sudden I heard a whimper from across the street - then she ran up to the front of the car and looked at me - ran to the side of the car - looked at me - I just sat there trying not to look directly at her - (because I was told this could take a couple weeks to gain her trust and she would not let anyone else approach her) the next thing you know she jumps up and sticks her head in the window! Luckily I remained calm and had a beggin (bacon) strip next to me - I handed it to her - she gobbled it up - I didn't quite get a hold of her - and she ran off with the treat - but just a second later - she came back and I opened the door and she practically jumped in my lap! - I hugged her over and over and she licked my face - this could not have gone any more perfect! She was so happy to see me and her car! She is so thin - I can feel every bone in her body - she looks like she's lost about half of her body weight - but other than that - she is acting and looks very healthy! No injuries - She knows she's home and knows her name - We are all ecstatic! She has been living in one of those overgrown Port of Seattle lots over by the Groomers and the Airport, and then coming out at night to cross the street and eat from the neighbors who, thank God, were feeding her. Star is so happy to see her too ! And to top it off - it was my husband's 40th Birthday last night. We are very blessed ! - And I am so happy to be able to share this incredible news with all the amazing people who have followed her story from the beginning, and came out on thier own time to help us look for her and for the many prayers that were said daily - God Bless all of you! If you have a lost pet - PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP - AND JUST KEEP PUTTING THOSE POSTERS UP AND TELLING AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE !!! MIRACLES DO HAPPEN!!! Chris was pretty certain that he saw me at an apartment complex in Auburn , very near where the thief, or thieves, left Mommy's car. So, Mommy got ahold of Dee, Rocky's mom, and Dee went right over to those apartments on Wednesday evening and banged on the door of the apartment where Chris saw the pup. Turns out that it wasn't Teddi Sue afterall. : ( Thanks fur your help, Dee , we love you fur being there fur us. Then, on Wednesday night , Mommy got a call from Heather, who works at Seattle Animal Shelter . Apparently a young, unaltered, female MinPin cross had been abandoned at the shelter. So, on Thursday, while Mommy was at work, away from computers, Sassy's mom, Sally, emailed pics of Teddi Sue to the shelter. About 5:15 p.m. Mommy finally called the shelter back and was told that , again, it was not a match . Now, this fun game of tag has got us in sort of a bind! Me and The Tater Tots! , and all of us individually, have been tagged sooo many times that Mommy's email inbox is getting filled up and we are supposed to be tagging around 250 pals! We love the attention and are so flattered that everypup wants to tag us, but we are not going to be able to keep up with it! . We will do a li'l bit every day, and that is all we can do, okay? Tater's Let's find TEDDI SUE!!! Group! , so I will keep updates for everyone here in Teddi Sue's Diary. So many friends are doing so much to help us try to find Teddi Sue! All of the Washington state Dogsters are being sent pup pal requests and being asked to keep an eye out and to try to help spread the word by notifying their local vets, pet stores, shelters, etc... Teddi Sue has been registered and posted on several online lost and found pet sites. These sites are being checked daily as well as all of the shelters and rescues anywhere remotely near the area where Teddi Sue was stolen from. There are Dogster friends who live in different areas of Washington who are helping by posting fliers in their neighborhoods and at their local vets, pet stores, shelters, even handing them out to postmen, UPS drivers, and other service contractors. Fliers are being posted on bulletin boards all over Washington state! Teddi Sue is posted on many myspaces, blogs, The Dog Channel and Auburn Reporter. I don't even know all of the different sites that people have posted her on! Any and all ideas are certainly welcome! Of course, our own Dogster has put Teddi Sue's story in the blog on the Dogster home page a few times and listed her as Dog of the Day, which are both wonderful ways to help get the word out . Our family so appreciates Dogster's support in our plight. A PETITION was started by Daisy's Mom and now has well over the needed 1000 signatures! The petition is trying to urge the local Auburn WA media to do a news story on Teddi Sue to help increase awareness and put the heat on whoever might be trying to keep Teddi Sue. I have sent emails to KIRO News and will continue to "dog" them! I will be contacting a man who has scent tracking dogs to see what he thinks about the option of using a tracking dog to try to find out where Teddi Sue may have been or which direction she went in, etc... I will be contacting a lady who claims to be a 'pet psychic' who has been referred by some Dogster friends. Apparently these friends are very impressed with their personal experiences with this lady. I just really want to thank everyone for all of their help, support and prayers. Teddi Sue and The Tater Tots! have received many, many stars, rosettes, pawmails and pup pal requests that it will probably take weeks or maybe even months for us to catch up with all of them. Also, a huge thank you to all who have donated to the paypal account. This has enabled me to make the trips up north that I need take to check on leads and to post fliers and visit the shelters periodically. I am working on replying personally to each person who has donated. And I will always remember, for as long as I live, the day that my phone rang and Cecilia, Lola's and Yuki's mom, told me that she was on her way to help me walk all through a mobile home park near Green River Community College in Auburn to search for Teddi Sue. A man who lives in the park said that he was very sure he saw Teddi Sue there April 24th wandering around looking lost. Cecilia, Lola, Yuki and I spent hours walking in the rain, asking questions and calling Teddi Sue's name. Cecilia drove for over two hours to come and help me on her day off! The group that Tater and Wilson started, Tater's Let's find TEDDI SUE!!! Group! is where you can join in to help or find out whatever you need to know about the search for Teddi Sue. There are links there to the petition, candle site, pay pal account, lost and found sites, etc... I'm sure I haven't listed everything that's been done and is being done by so many wonderful friends to help, and I apologize for what I have not included. I will keep regular updates here in Teddi's diary and will do it often so they won't be so long. In the meantime,we thank you all for keeping your candles lit and the prayers being said and for any and all efforts made to help in the search for Teddi Sue.
