So Mom's taking care of this really old Irish Setter, who so far, I have yet to identify as a real dog. Maybe mixed with some sort of cat... hmm...

Mom came home today and was just sitting with me watching some TV, when she thought she saw some sort of yellow blur out the back door.
She got up to look, and sure enough there was another dog in our backyard. She went outside to check if he was friendly, and to check for tags. Which he only had one and it didn't have a name or number on it.

She let me and the beagle outside to see how we'd get along with this dog (to keep him in the backyard).

We were fine, and did a good job of keeping him there, not that he showed much interest in leaving.

Mom realized that he was not neutered, which was probably the cause of his wandering.

Mom decided to take me and the runaway up the street to look for his home. On our walk a golden retriever/lab decided that he was going to follow us. So now Mom was up to 3 blonde dogs BOL.

Then she heard someone calling a dogs name, so after she told the new dog to go home, she asked the people if she had their dog. The lady said "no but we've lost our lab!"
So the new lab and I walked down the road a bit with Mom to see yet another lab running around someone's yard. The dog ran up to us and Mom got a hold of his collar. That dog belonged to the lady we had just spoken to. So Mom held the dog until the lady came and got him.

Then as we were walking down the road a car pulled over and asked if the lab was our dog. Mom said no, and the lady jumped out and said "Timber!" Turns out that he is her "granddog" BOL. But before mom could tell her that the reason he was probably wandering was because he wasn't fixed, she left. She was very grateful though :)

Hey everyone!

I have an upcoming Therapy test on April 20, and what started out as a nice walk in the woods, ended up being the pawfect test preperation!

After my walk with Mom, Grandma, and Oz; Mom decided to take us up to a camp that her aunt was holding with the "Girl Guides" (inside a building).

We only intended to be a few minutes, so Oz and I were left in the truck whilst the hoomans went inside. Then Mom's aunt mentioned a tasty deer carcass in the back woods on a trail. Mom, being quite excited about my free food oppurtunity, let Oz inside the building and took me out back.

Unfortunately, after the hour of searching, Mom and I were unable to find it.
We went back inside and to my surprise, there were about 20 little girls all running around!

I've never really had this experience before! Needless to say I was quite excited, so Mom took me over and got me to sit as all these little girls came up calling me "Toby" BOL, and petting me. Now we all know little girls aren't always the most gentle haha (though these ones were pretty nice to me) but I was very patient :).

Then one little girl came up to ask if she could walk me around, Mom was a little hesitant because if I decided to run, I could pull someone over, or possibly play nip someone.

After a bit though, Mom gave the leash over to the girls and I ran and played with them (supervised by mom of course!). Then when they all went to bed, I came back to lay beside Mom.

Mom said I was a very good boy today! And I had a blast! I hope my Therapy Test is just as much fun!

Well pups, I got yet another accomplishment to add to my ever growing list :)

So some of you may have known that I have been taking a few agility classes over the recent months.

I graduated my beginner class in late fall, and Mom and I both had tons of fun! So that lead to Intermediate Level 1 that just ended last month.

Mom got talking to our trainer, and she mentioned that I was good enough that if Mom and I were interested we could skip right through to the Competitive Level!

That means I am skipping Intermediate Level 2, and Advanced Level!

I haven't mastered everything....yet ;) But we all know I'm a Border Collie, and well it's not as though I lack anything in the intelligence department! BOL

Once I get those last few things down though, Mom's Dad said that I'll be just as good as the others in my class! Although, you know....I;d be the best looking ;) BOL Kidding!

We really do have some stunning pups in my class, and I'm glad to be one of them!

Today Mom decided that she wants to excersize alone, meaning without me!
She's doing these things called Push-ups and Sit-up...confoosing, I know.
I mean I know how to do a doggy push-up! I'm actaully quite good at those, but what she's doing, well that's just weird!

But anyways, there are so many other methods of excersizing which include me! I don't see why she has to stay so close to her precious tv all the time. Hmph.

Mom got home today, let me and the beagle outside for a quick run, then back in. And instead of going out for a walk like she might otherwise normally do, she sits on the floor and starts doing these things!
At first I thought she may be having some sort of convulsions, so I tried to alert the family, but that didn't work, so when she started these "push-up" things, I stuck my head right underneath her so she wouldn't fall back down again!

Needless to say, she wasn't too pleased with me!
However, it did get me some play time with her since she gave up on those! BOL

'Till Next Time

BOL Well after who knows how many times of being tagged and erm well....just ending my strand of the game right there because of our painfully slow internet connection, I have FINALLY decided to play along!

I have of course been tagged by my pawesome pal Odysseus and I mean, if you have met him before you'd know why we're playing!

Rules are this:
I have to pick and list 10 fellow members and say a nice thing about them and about the pup who tagged me. I then send pmail or rosettes to the 10 pups I picked.

1. Karli ! My pawsitively beautiful fiance! She brings a smile to my face every time I get a chance to talk to her! I love Karli!!
2.Trudy! My sister in law! Trudy is a great friend and has ALWAYS been there for me! Now she’s Queen of Snoops which is awesome! I’m soo glad to have a great pal like her!
3.Simba! I actually got to MEET Simba in real life! He came fur my first woofday up at a dog park near my house. It was pawesome! I love having someone that can *almost* keep up with me when I’m runnin’ :D
4.Leilu Maxine, Therapy Dog is one of the kindest, nicest pups I have ever met! I always enjoy the great pawmails I get from her!
5.Levi is a pawesome guy that always brings a smile to my face. He has always been a good pal to me!
6. Sadie GBeAD-C1 is another one of the nicest pups I have met here, though we don’t get to talk much, it’s always a pleasure 
7. Ozzie is another fellow Hollowshot Border Collie like me! He’s a great guy and as you can plainly see, us Hollowshot Border Collies got looks! ;) haha
8.Mihkoa had such a hard beginning to her life, and I am so glad her mom saved her! She is a great girl and amazing at agility!
9.Last Echo of Fieldfare, RPT lives really close to where I do! He got me introduced to the wild world of Agility! He even recommended a trainer whom we LOVE by the way! Over the Edge Agility!!!
10.Rosalita Lola “Rosie” Although we haven’t been able to talk much on a personal level, I have always appreciated the advice and kind consolations she gives to the various pups in need!

Wow this sure took a lot of thought. A Big BC Thanks to all my pals!

Yesterday mom went to the Sportsman show in Toronto and she brought back so much stuff for me!
She brought back all sorts of samples of Pro Plan dog food, Greenies and a new Collar for me! It says my name and phone number! Bol now I am up to 4 collars around my neck! (One I've been wearing since I was born and it still fits!)

But the absolute most exciting thing is mom bought an Agility set! The ground's still frozen so we couldn't really set anything up. But mom opened the tunnel in the living room and I LOVE it! I learned to go through the tunnel in a matter of minutes! First I was a bit scared of it, but once I went thorugh it I saw how much fun it is!

Now I just love to run through the tunnel for no reason! Mom doesn't even tell me and I'll do it! Although I'll do it faster when she tells me BOL

But if the tunnel is this much fun, imagine how much fun the weave poles will be! I can already weave through mom's legs, but a whole line!?!? Wow I can't wait!

Hi everyone!
Today friends of mommy's came over with their 2 dogs Shreddies (Golden Retriever), and Dino (Yorkie). We all loaded into my mommy's mom's van (Oz too) and we drove to Long Sault Conservation Area. My mommy and her friends and I went a different way that ended up being longer than the other way. I walked the entire time almost and it was about a 5km hike in the woods! EVeryone is amazed that I can walk so far cause I'm still young, and because I wont walk on a leash yet.

Next month we are going to Algonquin Park to do the Tower and Track trail wich is I think 11km for my initiation walk. Oz did the same hike at about the same age as when I'm going, but he had to be carried near the end =P

Sunday May 21, 2006:
The people who came a few weeks ago to take pictures came again today. All of my siblings were alrady gone. I had the whole run to myself with the exception of an older pup who was there on a visit. The people stood and talked for a long time while I played with my friend. Finally the human who had been taking care of me opened the fence and reached in; she pulled me out and started grooming the dirt and shavings off of me. Then she passed me over to one who had come before, so she could brush me. They then took me into a big room with wheels on it and everyone fastened themselves in. I wasn't scared though, I just lay my head down and fell asleep.

Sometime later I awoke, and whined a bit because I did not know where I was, we then stopped and got out of the room. I walked around from a bit, then they all got back in. I was carsick sometime later, but no one noticed until we stopped and everyone got out again. This time though, we stayed at this place, I was placed on the grass and another dog came out to see me. He was a lot bigger than me, and he seemed confused; like he didn't know what I was. I was pretty confused too, he had big ears, eyes, and short hair with strange colours. He was definately not like any of the dogs I had seen at my old home!

We all went into this big building and everyone took off their coats and shoes. I wasn't used to this soft ground which they all walked on. Everyone sat around me petting me and saying kind things that I didn't understand. I whined for a while then fell asleep, when I woke up there was food for me in my dish. It was not the same kind of food that I was used to, but I ate it all anyways.

They then took me outside where I relieved myself like a good boy. I ran and played in this giant yard filled with soft grass, with the other dog there. I was taken outside a few more times that night where I would releive myself and play for a bit. I never had an accident on the floor.

I was taken for a walk to a store later on, well for me it was more of a carry. The intention of this walk was to show me off to the locals, but sadly we saw no one.

I was put into a crate at about 11:00 last night. I slept until about 3:30am when I started whining. I woke 2 people up who were sleeping near my crate and they came to me. They tried what they could to stop me from whining, but I missed my family too much. They took me outside and there I was a good boy again, and we came back in. I was invited into the bed with my person, and the other dog where I slept for a bit, but still whined a little.

My new people are very pleased with me! I found that the other one who was there last night was only a visitor though. I have been such a good boy, and they don't think that they will need to crate me at night for much longer if I keep being a good boy.

I had a little accident today but it was diarreah from the food switch. It was only little and I am better now. I am being taught to walk on a leash because right now I just sit and chew on it. I also don't much like the collars and harnesses, but they say it's something that I have to get used to.
I do chew things a bit, but it is expected from a puppy and I know I will stop as soon as I get my big teeth in.
I sleep most of the time that I am indise, but I am very lively outside. I don't like to be left alone out there so if someone walks away from em, I will follow them. Just as this is being typed, I am just waking up from another nap. So I am going to go outside, I have learned how to sit and I am only 7 and a half weeks old!!!

Well that's about it for now, there are going to be more pictures of me soon! I'll try to pose my best! bol, bye!
