Yesterday we went up to the snow!! I love the snow!! I love walking through it and feeling how cold it is. It makes me feel like a wolf, awooooooooooo!! We piled in the car and went up into the local mountains where the snow is. Even though we were only there for a short time, I had such a good time. Then we went out to eat at Chipotle followed by a really fun visit to PetSmart. I got to see and torment the rats and chinchillas. And when we checkout, we always get yummy treats and attention.

Follow up that great day with Sunday breakfast with grandpa at our favorite place, Brookside Country Club. Unfortunately, there were no squirrels out today for me to hunt, but my daddy brought me over to the coy pond. Wow, are those fish stupid!! They actually come over to me, like I am going to be their friend, or like I am giving them food. No!! they are going to be MY food!! (that is if I ever catch one)

Finally, we ended our day with a fun trip to Petco where my brother stole a bunch of treats from the treat smorgasbord. Daddy told the manager that he stole treats, and Spyro got away with it. Actually, the manager gave us all of the treats that daddy was going to buy for free. I like him, he has been there since I was a pup.

What a great weekend!! Best weekend EVER!!!!!
Now it is time to... zzzzzzzzzzzz.....

Today was the annual "Wiggle Waggle Walk", a fundraiser for the Pasadena Humane Society, the one that my dearly departed older sister came from. I have been to this event before. It is really fun but all of the hundreds and hundreds of dogs there kind of frightened me. However, this year my beloved dog-walker came with us. She brought her boyfriend and 4 dogs. It was amazing how we all just kind of fell into a tight little pack and I was not scared of any of her dogs.

Anyhow, as daddy went to register us for the walk, mommy took us over to see Megan, my beloved dog-walker. Boy, I was soooooo excited to see her!!!! This is not even my walk day, what a wonderful surprise!!!!!

Now, there are two walks you can take, the 1 mile or 3 mile walks. We usually do the 1 mile because when Bella was around, that was all she could handle. However, 2 years ago daddy and I tried the 3 mile walk. It was boring!!! Just daddy and I with no one to talk or walk with. I told daddy I was bored and he took me back early. So this year, since my little brother, Spyro and I both like long hikes, daddy and mommy decided it was time to try the 3 mile walk, well that and my beloved Megan wanted to do the 3 mile too. It was fun, but really really HOT!!!!! Now, I do not like to stop for water while walking, so I passed up all of the water stations and must have drank about an entire bottle of water later, after the walk. We actually finished the 3 mile walk this time. Daddy was so proud, even though his foot hurt. Was I proud too??? Nahhhh, this is old hat to me since Megan takes me on 3 to more mile hikes all the time. I just minded the heat a little.

After that we visited the booths and ate lunch together.

OOOOOOHHHHH WAIT!!!!! I FORGOT THE BEST PARTS!!!!!!!!!!

Daddy took us to a little coy pond along the way. Boy are those fish DUMB!!!! They have very poor judgement. I walked up to the the very edge of the pond and looked in. The fish swam right up to me and I tried to jump in to catch one. Stupid leash, attached to stupid daddy. If it weren't for that, I might have had a fresh fish lunch.

Best of all, along the way, I found a SQUIRREL!!!! I dragged daddy over to the tree and baby brother, Spyro yelped and carried on. Hmph, can't take the little ones anywhere without them causing a scene. Really, he needs to learn better hunting techniques. Anyways, it was really fun.

YAAWWWWWNNNN.

What?? Am I tired now?? Nahhhhh, not me. It takes a lot more than a simple hike to tire me ouuuuuuuu.........

Spyro started his obedience training classes at Pasanita Obedience Club the other week and mommy went out into the large circle with him.

I REMEMBER THIS!! I LOVED DOING THIS!!!! WORK IS FUN!!!!!!

So I hung out with daddy who took me on walks and sat and watched. I had a hard time sitting and watching, as I wanted to be out there with them working!! So finally, after making all sorts of noise and pulling really hard on my leash, they decided to sign me up for a class that I already took many moons ago.

See, being cute and anxious can get you what you want in life!!!

So now I am in the class with my brother, Spyro and my granddaddy's new puppy too. We are having a great time and I get to practice things that I learned a long time ago. I think all of the other dogs are looking up to me as the star of the class. I am able to do everything right away. It is great!!! It is great for my ego too. Actually, I really don't care, I just like doing the work and getting the treats!!

Besides, we really don't have to tell the other dogs who idolize me that this is not my first time in this class, right???

Shhhhhh, this is between you and me...

Remember, loose lips sink ships, or something like that.

Ok, so it looks like I stepped on a wasp or something. Who knew that something so tiny could make me hurt so bad!! Anyhow, I went to my new vet today and I got a clean bill of health, hooray!! However, she did some tests and gave me my shots.

OH I HATE GETTING SHOTS!!!

However, the foot seems better and I feel much better, so much better that yesterday Spyro and I spent to entire day hunting for squirrels. They just kept hanging around the yard, so we stayed outside and watched them.

Silly little brother kept chasing them, sheesh, hmmmph, KIDS!!

He will eventually learn that the key to squirrel hunting is to relax and wait until they get close enough to chase. Sheesh, was I that dumb when I was his age too??

OUCH!! I think I stepped on a wasp!! My rear foot really hurts!! It hurt so much that I could not rest comfortably. My mommy and daddy are still not sure if it was a wasp sting or I hurt my leg while jumping around with my new brother, but whatever it was it REALLY hurt!!!

That night I got rushed to the emergency hospital because of the pain I was in. It was horrible!!! They put me in a room all alone, oh I hate that!!!!

Anyhow, I got some shots and I feel better now. However, yesterday I felt really sick. Today I feel better though.

I am sure I will feel even better tomorrow.

Anyhow, I get to see my new veterinarian on Monday, so I am sure everything will be okay.

I will keep you all posted.

It is late and my daddy is keeping me up, so I need to go bug him and tell that selfish human that I will not go to sleep until he does. So he had better get off of the computer and take me to bed!!

Ya know, my new baby brother, Spyro is not so bad after-all. I think I will let him stay!! I have actually come to like having him around. We play together and most importantly, we hunt squirrels together. He also helps me defend the fence from the evil dog next door when he decides to bark at us and leap on the fence.

However, that goofball of a little dog actually chases birds in the yard too. However, she is learning that the real payoff is in the squirrel chasing!!

It has been a mixed bag of emotions since my wonderful older sister passed away. I missed her so so so much, but it has been kind of nice not having to compete for food or attention!! I also no longer need to guard my stuff from prying muzzles.

However, all that is behind me now, as my mommy and daddy brought me up to a place far away called Ojai to meet my new baby brother Spyro!! He seems kind of nice but scared at the same time so I will show him who is boss around here!! ME!!

** So let's see, a week later, and I am starting to like him more. You know, it is kind of nice to have a companion to play with again. Spyro loves to play and to chase. He also helps me when hunting the intruding squirrels. Any friend who also likes hunting squirrels is ok with me.

We will get along great, so long as he remembers who's in charge here...

Wow, was I ever the busy little doggy during the holidays!! My daddy bought a lot of gifts online, so that meant a barrage of delivery men to our front door. Of course I had to bark at each of them. "GET AWAY FROM MY DOOR, YOU STRANGER!!" I said. However, they kept coming. Now this was fun for me as well as stressful. I love to yell at the mailman, so yelling at the delivery guys was just more fun.

During the holidays, the gardeners came... I had to yell at them. Delivery guys, had to yell at them. Holiday party guests, needed to let them all know that i knew they were here. Finally, the kids came over, oh that is the most tiring experience of all.

Hooray, mom and day are home all week. This is very important to me because today is Monday is trash day. You see, I am very very scared of that terrible truck that makes horrible noises! I get very nervous and upset. The noise of the truck makes me cry and whine, and when no one pays attention to me, I make them pay attention to me by clawing at anyone within a paws shot. And if they are not available, I will scratch at any set of blankets available to me. One day I even put a little hole on the couch. Luckily no one yelled at me for it.
However, when Mom and Dad are home they help me stay focused on other things, like sit, stay, come and the best one of all which is the find it game! They hide treats all over the house, and my sister Bella and I must find them. OH Yummy! This makes my tummy happy and helps to take my focus away from my panic attack and that horrible trash truck! Maybe if I just close my eyes and wish hard enough it will go away forever..... Hey.... it's gone!! Do you think that my wish worked?? Oh boy I hope so!

Who needs a clock or watch?? Stupid humans do, that's who. I surely do not need one to be able to know what time I eat and what time is bedtime. Dumb humans need alarm clocks to tell them when to do certain things. HA, I am much more reliable than a dumb ol' clock. Dinnertime is 6:00 every day. I start warning them that my dinnertime is fast approaching about a half hour before it is actually supper. You see, my humans need constant reminders that it is dinnertime. I would totally do it all myself if I also had an apposable thumb. However, since I cannot work a can opener, then the best that I can do is to make sure to remind them far in advance that dinnertime is coming.

What??? oh what is that feeling in my tummy... Could it be? Suppertime?? Yup, it is 5:45pm, almost dinnertime.

Well, I've got to go, my dumb humans need to be reminded early what time it is.

Well, lately my days have been very busy. A young squirrel has moved in and it infuriates me that I can't catch it! Every day the squirrel comes out onto the wooden fence that surrounds my yard. It sits up there and wiggles it's fluffy tail at me to come chase it. If that doesn't work, then it scurrys across the fence about halfway and then stops and looks at me. I don't move, as it may see me hunting it. The squirrel then runs back to where it started from and the whole thing starts over again. By the way, when the squirrel runs back, I love to chase it. I then try to climb the fence to get to it. Also, something that you may not know is that squirrels bark kind of like us dogs. It sits on the fence, flicks its flufffy tail at me, and then barks at me.

You know what????

I think this squirrel may be playing with me.

Well, I will play back, that is until I catch it.

Last weekend my family went to "The Wiggle, Waggle, Walk", a charity event put on by "The Pasadena Humane Society" in Pasadena, California. My bestest friend, Darby, and the rest of my family went with me. Little did I know that Dad and I would be taking the walk for charity alone, without the rest of my family. Well, that is not altogether true, I knew that Bella could not make the whole walk, so mommy stayed with her at the park.

We waited for my other friend, Allie, but we could not find her, so dad just fell in line and started walking. I was nervous and kept looking behind me. "Nope, my family is not with me, boo hoo..." I said.

I got to the point that I was enjoying the walk when Dad followed the crowd to the long walk instead of the short one that we usually do. You see, we usually do the 1 mile walk instead of the 3 miles walk. Dad decided to try the long walk.

Almost halfway through the walk, I started to get restless and apparently so did Dad. He realized that I didn't want to continue, which was good because neither did he. I heard himj say, "Good lord, I'm so bored and we are not even halfway there yet. THIS BITES!!!"

So, we turned around and went back. halfway back I smelled something and ran over to it. There was a very nice old lady sitting on a bench, but she is not what smelled. The smell came from a bunch of holes in the ground. GOPHERS!!!!! I ran from hole to hole sticking my nose into each hole. Why, it might be in there. Shoot foiled again, no gopher. Maybe it was in the big hole. Couldn't get my nose in it, so I dug it open. Still no gopher. DAMN!!

I wonder if there is a limit to how far I can dig. That gopher had to be in there somewhere. Maybe if I dog really far I will find that the gopher. Oh well, at least the elderly lady was nice and gave me nice pets and love to boot.

Finally, dad and I left and went to go rejoin Bella and Darby over at the park where the festivities were. Thank goodness that daddy got bored and brought me back because I feel so much more at peace when i am around my entire family.

Hmmm.. that was a fun, yet tiring day. I still wish I had caught that gopher. Hmmm... Oh well, that's live I guess....

OH LOOK IT'S THE SQUIRREL!! GOTTA GO!! IF I CAN'T HAVE THE GOPHER THEN I WILL GET THIS DARNED SQUIRREL!!!!!

v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v-v.... teeth are chattering and my body is quivering and it's all because of that darned bird. My daddy has a parrot who squawks really loud and it frightens me. I do not like that bird. I wanna eat it up, yum. It is in the other room and is making lots of noise and I do not like that. I need tender loving care and lots of reassuring that I am not going to be eaten or that my eardrums will not explode due to that darned birds horrible noise.

However, not all is bad, I did get a little licky taste of that horrible parrot the other day. Daddy took him out of his cage, as he sometimes does, but this time the bird flew off him and onto the floor. I immediately hunted it and tried to make friends with it by licking it and maybe even give it a little friendly nibble. Yum Yum, that was one tasty parrot, even though it was the ONLY parrot that I have ever tasted. Yum, maybe it would feel more comfortable and make less noise in my belly!! That would be a dream come true.

Well, one can dream can't one? Until then I will need to find a way to put up with SQUAWWWWWWKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a GREAT week!! I met a new friend on Thursday. You see, I kind of have a bit of trouble convincing my mommy and daddy that I can make friends with other dogs. Well, this week, I did!! "Ththththt...." See I can be trustworthy around other dogs!! I do like them, so long as they are nice and don't move too fast around me.

Anyways, my new friend's name is Maddy. She is bigger and younger than me, well, age ain't everything, I got the looks. I met her at my friend Darby's house. She lives next door and was friendly from the getgo, only mommy and daddy did not trust me right away. They kept me behind a fence, so I growled a bit, which I guess did not help matters much. Anyhow, when they finally did let me visit her, i went right up an asked her if she wanted to play with me. She was only too happy to oblige. We ran around together for a long time, even Bella tried to get in on the fun, but overprotective mommy and daddy put a stop to that. "She might get hurt... blah blah blah... stop babying her." I say (only it comes out as "Bark, Bark, Bark, Woof, Growl, Woof)."

I can't wait to see my new friend again REAL soon. Maybe this time she will come over to my house. I hope so. Well, maybe not today, I am tired from all of the recent activity, I think that the only activity that I will partake in today is catching some zzzzzzzzz's.

Goodnight!

Hi all,

Well, what do I have to tell you about this fine Spring day. Last night Daddy was up later than mommy playing the DAMNED Xbox. I usually hate it when he plays but last night wasn't too bad. You see, I found that when mommy is not in her chair, it is quite comfortable for me to sleep in. It is just the right size for me to curl up in and take a nice nap.

However, enough is enough!! Sometimes, you just have to take the bull by the horns and tell people when you've had ENOUGH!!

Hmm. oh, mommy isn't in her chair. now is my time, but HEY, Daddy is turning on that horrible XBOX again!! Ok, I gotta go. This means war. When a doggy wants her sleep, a DOGGY IS GOING TO HAVE HER SLEEP!!

Agility Class started up again today, and to my surprise, two of my favorite beings on the planet were back. Cesar and his dog (Black Lab/ Pitbull mix) MONK were back. I missed them so much!!!

You see, first of all Cesar showers me will love and affection, not to mention Chicken strips. However, about 2 months ago, MONK tor a ligament in one of his legs and had to have surgery. Then he had to be crated, or kept down for two months, sounds horrible. Anyways, that meant that Cesar and Monk were not in agility classes for the last two months. As I said before, I really missed them.

Oh fantastic wonderfulness, Cesar and MONK are back. I can't wait to see them. During class I whined and barked to see them, and finally mommy let me see them at the end of class. It was the homecoming of homecomings!!

MONK and CESAR, I am so glad to have you back in my life!

Wow, am I ever tired today!!

Mommy and Daddy had a big Christmas bash last night, which Bella and I got to stay up for. There were lots of people there and lots of food for us to try to get. I think we finally went to sleep around 3 in the morning. That is about 4 to 5 hours after my normal time. You know that even us dogs need our beauty sleep. What you think that we are just naturally beautiful? Well, we are but the beauty sleep keeps us from biting your hand off.

Anyways, I got lots of lovin' and lots of treats last night, but I would give them all up for a good LONG night's sleep. Well, maybe I am going too far here, i would not give up the lovin' and treats for a good night's sleep, but maybe I would give up a little of it though.

SO, "yaughhnn" I think that I am going to go now, all of this typing has reminded me of how tired I am. I am going to find a nice soft free pillow to curl up on and....

Hi all,

Hey, I have been enrolled in a new class. Ha ha, I've got class. The new class lets me use my nose a lot. It is a "Scent Class", you know like drugs and bomb sniffing dogs???

Well, I am not going to be sniffing for any drugs or bombs, but we did do it for fun. Besides, if mommy or daddy put me in a situation where a bomb could blow up in my face, I would bite them where the sun don't shine.

The class is fun, when it is my turn. I get to find my favorite toy in a series of empty boxes. So far it has been a lot of fun, except for the time that I have to spend in my crate. I hate that!!!
I AM A PRINCESS!!! Princesses are not closed up in crates. How dare they do this to me, off with their heads!!! Well, maybe not quite yet, I am hungry and they give me treats, so maybe I will keep them around for a little while longer.

Wow, what a good day I had today. Do you wanna hear about it, cause I would love to tell you.

It started off rather mundane. You know, the ususal. Bella and I get medicine cookies in the morning (actually Bella gets the medicine, I just get the cookie part). It was also LONG walk day, I look so forward to them.

However, the normal day was interrupted by the gardners. You see, mom and dad usually aren't here when the gardners are here, so daddy let us out to go play with the gardners. I like the blower, I put some nice teethmarks into the gardner's blower-tube. That I am proud of.

I started go get antsy. 11:30 had come and rolled by and my special dogwalker had not come, so I barked and barked at mommy and daddy to tell them that something is wrong, and that they needed to call my dogwalker to make sure she was okay( and still coming). They did call her, and to my surprise, she showed up rather quickly. HURRAY!! HURRAY!! MY DOGWALKER IS HERE!! Anyways, I lft for a couple hours and returned all pooped, but very happy. A lonng walk and some playtime in with my poodle buddy.

Next, a good nap, followed by some company which is always fun, especially if they come over and pay me lots of attention. Hmmm. what a good day.

Please excuse me while I take a nap now. Good days always make me sleepy. nighty night

First off, Happy 4th of July to all!! I hope that all of you weren't afraid of the fireworks. I thought that I would be, but wasn't as afraid of them as I thought. Go ahead, bring them on, the big ones, the loud ones, the ones that simply go "BOOM" I can take it. Well, maybe not the ones that go "BOOM".

I also discovered my shadow last night. I was standing in the light and noticed a very dark dog next to me. I investigated and had no reason for alarm, it was just my shadow. Shadows are nice. They never bark at you or bite you. Also, they are always around to keep you company in the light.

Maybe it was my shadow nearby that made me so brave during the fireworks...

Nah, I'm just getting braver on my own.

Grrrrr......
Oh, it's you, good. Well, I have been a little on edge lately because I am sure that something is lurking behind my house. You see, the house behind my yard has been empty for sometime now while the owners fix it up, but at night. something is lurking. I know it!! The owner of the house is missing out on some rent that he could be collecting from his elusive tenants, which I believe to be either raccoons, rats, oppossums, or skunks. They really annoy my sister and me. We hear things. I even overheard that my Daddy heard it too.

It has gotten so bad, that we have a mystery hole with an attached tunnel in our yard. My racketball went down that hole and rolled down the tunnel. I want that racketball back. Oooooo, if I find those lurking animals, I will...

Dear Santa,

I have been very good this year. I only ripped up ONE of Daddy's slippers. The other one is still in the backyard (I will rip that one up after Christmas). I bark at strangers at the door and smother those who my family likes with love.

Santa, I would really love a truck-load of bones for Christmas. My favorites are Jumbones, but others will do too. I would also like a treatball that drops more treats at a time than the one i have now. Oh, also, Lots and lots of fun toys!! I would also like a futon of my own so I do not need to share it with sister Bella, who makes me get off so she can lie down. Finally, I think that I would really like a can opener that I can use myself to open my dogfood whenever i want.

Thank you very much, Santa. Remember, i have been very good this year, even better than last year. Have a great Christmas. Be careful driving your sleigh. remember not to drink and drive.

P.S. Oh, by the way, please remember to give Daddy new fluffy slippers....

...so I can play with them and rip them up again (that was fun)

Hi all, (licks all around, even to those who did not bathe today)

Today, mommy, daddy, Bella. Auntie Gayle, Darby, and I went to our frist day of Fun and Games classes at the Pasadena Humane Society. We have a very nice trainer, and co-trainer too. We learned how to catch a treat (ho hum, already know that one), and how to put toys into a bin. We also learned how to play dead.
We had great fun, and i even got in a few sneaks over to Darby. Bella was across the room, and looked as though she was really dead during "Play Dead". She likes laying down.
What was the funnestest was when daddy threw a treat into Darby's bin and i got it out, then Auntie Gayle threw one in my bin. Finally, Auntie Gayle and Daddy threw treats and all of us went to get them in the same bins.

Boy, treats, good friends, and fun, a winning combination.

She likes to run interferance when I am running the course. Auntie Gayle brings Darby over too, and we use it together. I have my very own jump, weave-poles, tunnel, tire jump, and pause table. My daddy built them out of PVC pipes (whatever that is). He said that it was really easy and made all of the equipment for less than it would cost to buy just one of them. Anyone interested in making their own agility equipment should email me and I will forward the message onto my daddy.

Guess what...
I went swimming in a pool last week. The nice friendly person who comes each week to walk me, took me to a pool. We went there because my friends Hula and Megan, chocolate labs, love to swim. i went as far as the first stp, but got scared. Pools are deep, you know. I wanted to swim so much since I love to play with Hula. I eventully got adventurous and stepped from the first step onto the second one, cut fell in.
Yu would have been proud of me since I didn't panic or nothin' I merely swam to the edge and climbed back out.

I wonder if I will do that again? Mayby I will go in on my own this time.

Boy did I have fun last weekend. Here, in sunny Southern California, it snowed. It snowed pretty low in the mountains and my mommy and daddy brought me to the snow. Bella had to stay home and let her nurt paw heal.

At first, I didn't know what to make of the cold stuff. By the way, it was really cold. However, I learned to like it. I especially liked it when daddy took me hiking around the hillside.

No, actually I think my favorite part was getting back into the warm car and sleeping all the way home.

Since Bella hurt her paw and needs to stay off of it as much as possible, my mommy and daddy needed to make that grand desicion. "Can we trust our little girl alone inside the house." I think I made their desicion making much harder because last time (when I was a puppy) I ripped apart a chair.

However, for the sake of my sister, Bella, they decided to try it.

"I AM A BIG GIRL NOW!!" I spent an entire week inside alone with Bella, and didn't do anything wrong. My mommy and daddy even got someone to walk me midweek. I was a bit nervous to begin with, but in the end, I loved it.

Now it is raining, maybe I will stay in the house today, since now I can be trusted.

I happen to like the gardners who are here, but sis and I cannot go out because Dad says we will bother them and they will not be able to work.
Today I learned that gardeners can be fun. My mommy and daddy had their gardeners build a fence for them today, and let Bella and I go out and have fun with them every now and then. I used to be afraid of them, but Bella loves them and barks at them to play with her. I decided to join in with her today. The gardeners jumped around with us and let us chase them today. We had a lot of fun with them. I am looking forward to next Thursday, when i get to see them again.

Ok, I have been playing with a racketball for the last 30 minutes, I am not sure though since I do not know how to tell time yet. Since daddy was playing the XBOX, I decided to play by myself. I love racketballs because when I throw them, they bounce all over the place and I get to run around and catch them. Sometimes, it goes under a chair and I have to flatten myself like a pancake in order to get it. It doesn't matter though, since I love to play with it.

I am very lucky since when I lived nextdoor, I NEVER got to play with anything. Now I get my pick. Sometimes the decisions are very hard because theree is so much to choose from. Oh well, I will just steal what my sister is chewing on, how about that.

OOOOO..... hey look, a bone!!! Gotta go.

Last week was my very first day at the dog park. My friend BENNY invited me and my sister to come join him for his 1 year birthday party there. My sister was too busy resting to go, but I did. I was really frightened at first. I spent maybe the first half hour barking and growling at the other dogs because I was scared. However, once my mom and dad finally let me free in the park, I had a ball.

I made lots of new friends and ran around with other cool dogs. I also got to meet and play with Benny. I can't wait to go back.
