Mom came to visit me! I was SO HAPPY to see her! I perked right up and got lots of energy and the internal med vet opened the cage and mom sat down and I leapt onto her lap! We hugged for a bit, then I stood up cause dog, I wanted to go home! Mom told me no, that I had to stay there cause they were gonna have to do surgery on me. I'm just gonna copy and paste her book of faces status cause my paws are tired from trying to get away from mom's smothering, BOL (not really). (Psst, don't tell mom I have her book of faces password!)

Shakey update: internal med vet said his ultrasound showed a lot going on in his abdomen. (Vet called it a hot mess, heh) His gallbladder is sick, no obstructions but its inflamed.. One of his adrenal glands looks diseased, the other is enlarged, possible tumor? His spleen is unhappy too. So they recommend surgery to really see what's going on and how to fix it, like if enlarged gland is from gland or liver, what's up with gallbladder if it needs to be removed etc. they want to do it this afternoon since he's had lots of fluids etc.

Oh yah, while she was here, mom talked to the internal med specialist vet and the surgeon, they're gonna check out my insides and pawsibly remove my gallbladder. I'll make sure she keeps you updated cause I may not be able to type while I'm all doped up post-surgery.

Hi pups, man these vets are around for long times, hard to be sneaky! I overhead the nice e-vet talking to mom last night and again this morning. This morning’s report is that I did fairly well overnight, I had an anti-nausea med and I ate and have kept it down so far, and my blood sugar held steady. The vet also started me on antibiotics cause she saw a little bacteria in my urine (ewww). I’m gonna see an internal specialist this morning and get an ultrasound so they can see all inside (ewwww).

If I can remember what the vet told mom last night…. Let me review my notes…. My potassium is normal. My blood smear showed immature red blood cells, which I think means I’m making more. My blood clot time was 23 seconds, and 19 is normal. The xrays didn’t show evidence of obvious obstruction, but they did show a slightly enlarged area in my upper abdomen, not lots of detail tho, which is consistent with inflammation around my liver, gallbladder, and bile ducts, which is where the vet thinks the problem is from. The vet’s still concerned about my Billy Reuben (thanks Zoe!), and she was leaning towards my liver. She mentioned three things in particular she was looking for, but I forgot what they were except for pancreatitis.. which is a word I know cause mom’s always talking about how she feeds us low fat food and we don’t get much people food cause we’re prone to that.

The vet was asking mom if I could have gotten into anything bad, like mushrooms or xylitol or palm trees, but I’ve always been good about not getting into stuff. Plus mom watches me like a hawk, she hates mushrooms, she only chews gum at work and never drops it, and I haven’t been to Florida ever.

Whew, I need to rest after typing all that out!

Oh, can’t furget - thanks for the PoP!!!

Sheesh, you gotta really sneak around to get to a computer here! Mom left me at the e-vet tonight cause they need to run diagnostic tests and xrays and stuff on me. Know how I've been urka gurkaing? I even urka gurkaed rice last night, and I've been pretty lethargic all weekend too, so mom took me to the vet this afternoon. The vet thought I looked jaundiced (you shoulda seen mom's freaked out expression there, she was not expecting that at all), so they took blood work. My liver values were 8-10 times higher than they should be, and my billy-something or other value was high too. So the vet recommended mom take me to this e-vet so they could figure out what's wrong. The e-vet lady was nice and was talking to mom about liver and gallbladder and bile ducts and how they all work together, and mom was paying attention but I dunno what it means yet. They gotta run tests. I'll sneak back and let you pups know what's up when I can.

I've been urka gurking this weekend, so mom's been giving me "bland" human foods (they're not bland for me, they're delicious!). Yesterday she gave me pieces of boiled chicken, a tiny bit of which urka gurkaed up. This morning I got a tiny piece of banana (YUM!) and bits of scrambled eggs (YUM YUM!). OMD, why has mom never fed me these things before?!?! Just cause she doesn't eat eggs does not mean she shouldn't make them for me, altho now that she knows I like them, she says she'll make them just for me. Woof! On a related note, she's been wanting to buy a rice cooker for a while, and last night she finally bought one so she could make rice for me. Woof! There's still scrambled egg on the counter that I want but mom is waiting to see if I urka gurka anything else first.

Oh, mom says to make sure to tell my furiends that she was watching the whole time and Bela is super sweet and I’m a grumbly brat (hey! I’m not barking that!), and no doggies were harmed in the making of this video. (Sheesh mom, like I’d ever let a girl dog beat me up, even if she is three times my size!)

The smoke detector keeps beeping and I hate it and mom couldn’t reach it this morning even when she stood on a stool (she’s only 5 feet tall and the alarm is on the ceiling and the ceilings are high) and even if she hit it with a broom it’d still hang there and she still couldn’t reach it and she had to go to work to make treat money and the alarm keeps beeping and I hope my tall human roommate or mom’s tall boyfriend get here soon so they can reach the alarm and stop it.

I was freaking out so badly this morning that I didn’t want to eat my morning treats and I ran outside when mom opened the door to go out to get to work. She put me back inside, which is not where I want to be right now.

She feels really bad about it, and says there's no way she coulda not got it cause she was on the interstate in her car and didn't see the squirrel. I wanna get a squirrel! I've been trying for eleventy years! I bark at them and chase them but I've never caught one. Yet. Mom often asks me what I'd do if I caught one, and I woof that I'd show her if I ever did catch one.
Woof woof arooo! Happy Barkday to ME! Mom says I'm 11 today but I don’t act like it and I'll always be her baby puppy and.. sheesh.. knock it off mom! Just gimme my barkday treats and let me unwrap presents! No, I'm not spoiled, BOL! I don't act my age tho, I have tons of energy and love walks and bark at everything and mark up the neighborhood and play with toys and roll in the grass and all the things dogs are supposed to do regardless of their age. I'm still a crazy goofball! Woof!

Anypaw! It's my first barkday in our new city and with a doggy roommate, so mom says she's gonna bake peanut butter treats for us all, woof! (She's at work now making the treat money. Work hard mom! BOL!)

Sorry we haven't been keeping up lately - mom's laptop won't connect to the internet and we can't check Dogster on her iPhone cause its keys are way too small for our paws. (Don't ask how I'm posting now, BOL) Me and Lacey are doing good, and we're still getting along with doggy roommate Bela (she LOVES us!). There's lots of doggies in our neighborhood that we bark to when we're out walking. There's even several stray kitties that mom won't let me chase. We’ve made lots of new people friends from all the friends that visit mom and human roommate. Me and Lacey and Bela always make them feel welcome by excitedly barking at them!

What else is new? Oh! Our schnauzer cousins Adeline and Samson and our grandpawrents came to visit us a few weeks or months ago or somethin'. That was so much fun, we got to show off our neighborhood!

We've had stupid flea problems this summer, even though me and Lacey were on topical flea meds. (Stupid non-working meds and stupid stray cats that I can't chase.) Mom gave us baths with flea shampooo (not made of fleas, BOL, but to get rid of fleas) and morphed into a cleaning freakazoid and washed our beds lots and vacuumed and stuff. Mom switched us to Trifexis (I looked at the box, BOL) last month and me and Lacey haven't had fleas (yet, mom tends to say, sheesh) since then.

I had my teethers cleaned last week and I only had two taken out, so even though I'm "old", I still have most of my teeth! See! "Senior" my paw! BOL!

Thanks to Snarky Schnazers for the barkday hat! I may wear it for a second or two before I rub it off against the couch, BOL, Thanks to Sniffers and Dixis for the bone, nomnom!

Thanks to Sophie and Sammie for the star! Thanks to Sabrina and Duncan and Hamish and Zoe and Tux and Drover and Bella for all the steaks! Thanks to Whitley for the ice cream! Thanks to Harley D and Sophie Claire for the baseball - I'm gonna go play now!

Shakespeare's mom here. Shakey is having a sleepover with Samson and Adeline at his grandpawrents' house. When Lacey and I went to leave, Shakey decided he didn't want to go, he stayed snug in the doggy bed. So I decided he was old enough to have a sleepover at his grandpawrents' house if he really wanted. He is ten after all. :) His grandpawrents are going to be coming over tomorrow morning anyways, so they will bring him home then. I miss my mama's boy. *sniffs* Guess I have to let him grow up sometime huh?

Hurricane Irene visited us this weekend and left so many branches and leaves scattered on the ground around my neighborhood - so much to pee on! BOL!

So on Saturday, me and Lacey and mom went out of town, and me and Lacey stayed at a new day care place. We were gonna stay at our usual weekend retreat (other than our grandpawrent's house), but they closed cause of the hurricane. Anypaw, the ladies at the new place in the other city were really really nice, and me and Lacey immediately jumped on them and sat in their laps, and they gave us lots of pets and treats. I could tell mom had been kinda worried since she hadn't visited the place before, but there were lots of other doggies in the play areas and people hanging out with the doggies. And Lacey and I make friends everywhere we go, espawcially people friends!

So while mom was hanging out with *cats* (the horror!), Lacey and I were living it up making new people and doggy pals! We had our own hurricane pawty, woof!

Mom came and picked us up on Sunday afternoon, and boy was I glad to see her! I had a fun time but I'm a mama's boy and homedoggy at heart. Of course Sunday was my barkday! We pawtied some at day care, then we got a car ride and I love car rides, but when we got home there was no power and no air conditioning.. not a way for a pup to spend his barkday! Mom said she couldn't bake me a barkday cake or barkday treats cause we didn't have power, but that she'd make something this week, and we'd spend all week celebrating. Sounds ok to me, I'm ok with being spoiled even more rotten every day!

So mom, where's the pawresents already?!?!

Have I mentioned that I love car rides?!? I love going places and barking at new people. Well this morning mom took me for a car ride without Lacey! Ok, so we ended up at the v-e-t-s, which even though it has a bad rep, is always a good sniffing time, and I got to bark at another schnauzer and his owner in the lobby. But then, the nice v-e-t- office ladies told mom that my grooming appointment is actually scheduled for *next* Friday, not today Friday, so we left with nothing done to me at all. That’s the best kind of trip to the v-e-t-s! I get to bark and sniff and then go right home! What a way to start the day, with a pawsonal car ride first thing in the morning and no v-e-t!

I’m not fat, I’m muscular, BOL! Ok, ok, I have a few fatty lumps on my belly. Mom pokes at em sometimes when she's giving me belly rubbies, and she says how much she hates em and what they mean about me getting older and stuff. I dunno, I just like belly rubs and being scratched all over. Woof! The other night mom was poking and prodding at this bigger lump on my chest area, which only bothered me cause she wasn't rubbing my belly, but I guess the lump bothered her enough cause she said she's gonna take me to the v-e-t today to have them check the new lump out. I'm sure it will miraculously go away before then, BOL! I had a big fatty lump on my back hip, and it bothered mom more than it bothered me, and the v-e-t-s removed it when I had to "go under" for my doggy day care injury a gazillion years ago. I hope I don't have to do that again, I had to wear a cone of shame for days and it was not cool. Hopefully it’ll be a quick v-e-t visit and then mom will take me to the Chick Fil A drive through, nom nom nom!

Mom didn't panic and rush me to the vet, OMD! BOL! She consulted her pet first aid book and checked my pulse and pushed in my gums and said I was ok. But then she picked me up and looked at my paw in the light and touched at it and I grrred and showed her my teeth and she let me go. She keeps checking my paw, and I keep holding it up for her.
I gotta tell you pups, mom called me spoiled this morning, all because I wouldn't eat my boring breakfast kibble without my sprinkle topping (the can says it's nupro joint supplement, whatever that means). She put my food bowl down, and I sat and looked up at her and told her with my cute puppy eyes that I wasn't eating that boring stuff without my desert topping. I sat there while she laughed, sheesh! And of course then she sprinkled my topping on. That's not spoiled, that's just eating what I like! Sheesh! Mom also called me rotten, which she got from Greta Grace and Roudy's mom on the book of faces.. My mom barked, er, posted about the other day when I was sitting by my food bowl filled with boring old kibble, protesting my dinner cause there was no sprinkle desert topping, and their mom called me rotten, like I'm a food or something, silly human!

I barked and barked at a neighborhood girl kid on my walk this afternoon and she told me "I'm not scared of you." Sheesh!

The squirrelz are everywhere and, to quote lots of my terrier furiends, they're driving me CRAZEEE!!!! I'd catch some too if one, mom would let me off leash or two, she'd run faster.

Gotta go, this spoiled boy and his spoiled sister are barking for another walk!

Mom’s going to see my play tomorrow night. See, my fancy AKC name is Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors - mom thought it'd be an appropriate registered name for me even though I was only a puppy when she named me, sheesh, thanks for the early label mom! BOL! Ok, ok, I am a big goofball funny boy, which mom tells me every day, but I’m not a comedy of *errors*, sheesh. One of her furiends on the book of faces gave her the crazy idea to make a video montage of my silliness and name it Shakespeare’s Comedy of Errors.
So mom was telling me last night that I'm the reason all kinds of big important life changing stuff has happened over the last several years. Sheesh mom, talk about having high standards! BOL!

She says that cause of me, she joined a bunch of schnauzer internet groups and made all kinds of good friends, and of course when we joined Dogster and made lots of great pals! Cause of me she's made lots of the bestest friends.. and me too, I have the bestest paw pals!! It's also cause of me that mom got into schnauzer rescue, and adopted Sydney, and fostered other schnauzers, and adopted Lacey too. But that's not all! She said it's cause of me, how much my grandpawrents love me and love my wonderful pawsonality (seriously! BOL!) and my silliness and character and stuff, it's cause of me that they adopted their very own schnauzers, my cousins Adeline and Samson. So cause of me two homeless schnauzer doggies got a great home with my family! And now cause of me, and ok, lots of it is mostly cause of Samson, my uncle Joey, who love love loves us so much and plays with Samson almost every day, is getting a schnauzer mix doggy of his very own.

Wow, I've accomplished so much! Aw geez, now mom's looking at me with leaky eyes again.. that means (s)mothering's coming... gotta run!

Mom took me to the holistic vet on Saturday. I remembered the office and the nice vet lady. I did my charming wiggle nub butt wiggle when I saw her. She asked mom a bunch of questions while I hung out and sniffed around. Then the vet lady started poking at my back. Then she took me back to get xrays, which I’ve had done before but don’t like! I was all wired up to leave after that torture! Then the vet lady poked at my back again, but she started moving part of it around, and twisting my neck, and it was kinda weird but it felt pretty good. I did my low grumbly happy sound so she’d know I liked it. Then when she was done I ran over to mom and panted all over her so she would know how I felt, BOL.

The vet lady told mom that I have some “chronic change” in my lower back, but it’s nothing to worry about, it just isn’t as neat and clean as the rest of my back. But overall my back is good! See mom, my back is pawfectly fine! Now let me start jumping on my, er, your bed again!!!

I hurt my back again this weekend. Mom furgot to block off her bed so I couldn't jump on it, and of course I jumped on it! It's big and comfy and smells like mom, who had been gone furever! (Any time she's gone is furever.) It's mom's fault, she knows I'll jump on anything even if she tells me I'm older and can't jump on stuff like I used to when I was a pup - she's even called me her grumpy old man, sheesh mom, you're old too! Anypaw! She too me to the v-e-t today to check me out, but she said she's prolly taking me to a doggy kiropractor too. She says it's a doggy back doctor. Ruh oh! What's he gonna do to me?!?

Oh, the v-e-t today, well, she poked at me and found the sore spot in my back between lumbar 3 and 4, and she twisted my hips and I didn't like that. But she gave mom good medicines to give me so I feel better. Vet lady and mom talked about fancy specialist stuff that could be done to me, I don't like all that talk. I don't think mom's gonna do any of that fancy stuff, but she did tell me she'd get me a cart if I ever needed one. Mom also boiled chicken for me and Lacey, so that also makes me feel better. Nap time now, whew, what an afternoon!

At first I wasn't so sure, I mean, I was at a vet's office for woofing out loud! I hopped on the bench to get away and try and hide. But the vet lady sat on the floor, and then mom sat on the floor, and I went and sat in mom's lap. The vet lady stretched out my back legs and massaged along my back and stretched out my front legs and massaged my legs and the half of me the vet lady wasn't stretching got to stay in mom's lap, so I was comfy and secure. After the vet lady got done stretching and massaging me, she and mom talked about me, and I kept going up to the nice vet lady and pestering her for pets and loving and I half crawled into her lap and gave her kisses and everything. I don't kiss just anyone! I liked her! I also liked her cause she told mom that cause I was "wood" and "inflexible" and had a "weak hind quarters" (the opposite of Ernie George, BOL! Love ya pal!), so mom should do stretching and yoga and flexibility and massage exercises with me. Comfy! The vet said schnauzers are like that, inflexible and stuff. Whatever, Lacey’s like a little noodle sometimes, BOL. I didn't get any achoopunkture or anything. Oh! She also told mom I should have more organ meat like liver and heart, yum! Mom was squicked out by that for some reason, I dunno. She said she'd buy more liver treats though, so thanks nice vet lady! Woof! The vet also told me a few times how cute and handsome I was, roo roo!

Owww. Mom was walking me yesterday and I kept sitting back on my butt cause I didn't want to walk anymore, and I didn't want to eat or drink cause I hurt. I wish I could have told mom what was wrong with me then so she didn't have to take me to the vet's today. The vet's always makes me anxious and I crawl under the chairs and hide. It was worse today cause the vet pinched me along my back and tried to push at my tummy and flip flopped my back paws around. They watched me walk a few steps and sit back on my butt, like I did yesterday. I didn't want an audience, I just wanted to go home. Oh, and they took blood from me to test at some lab somewhere. And they stuck fluid under my skin. Sheesh! I hate the vet! Anypoo, the vet told mom I had a back injury, and to severely rest my activities for two to three weeks. It's ok, it's too hot to go on long walks anyways, I guess. I hope those painkillers kick in soon. BOL, I should be on tv with that line, BOL!

“Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer's lease hath all too short a date:
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimm'd;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance, or nature's changing course, untrimm'd;
But thy eternal summer shall not fade,
Nor lose possession of that fair thou owest;
Nor shall Death brag thou wander'st in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou growest;
So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.”

Hey, I have a namesake to live up to! BOL!

She likes this one from Much Ado About Nothing:
“I had rather hear my dog bark at a crow than a man swear he loves me”

Not literally trapped in the car, don't worry. BOL I wouldn't have access to mom's computer in the car, BOL. I was actually trapped in the back seat and couldn’t get up front with mom! Lacey too, but she usually stays back there anyway. I like to jump up in the front seat next to mom and sometimes put my paws on her seat so she'll pet me. I don't know why she'd want to put a stop to that! But she did. When we went to our grandpawrents and Addy's house yesterday, mom put us in the backseat, and now there's this blanket like barrier that keeps me from jumping in the front. I tried to figure out a way to get up front, but mom saw me out of the corner of her eye and told me to stay. Sheesh. And she calls me a brat.

This new blanket thing is nice and soft though. It made a good nap spot on the way home last night. Even though I tried to figure out how to get on the floor behind mom's seat since that's where I usually nap in the car. I couldn't even get there.

We had a good weekend though! On Saturday we went to the dog park and got lots of sniffs and walks. And of course yesterday we got to run around our grandpawrents’ backyard! Aroo roo woof! Addy kept chasing me and butt-butting me. I would be enjoying a nice roll in the grass and here comes Addy, jumpin on me. (No thanks to mom, who was like “go get him Addy!” Sheesh, thanks mom.)

Me, mom, and Lacey miss Cupcake, but she’s still in the house, in our hearts.

I try to drag mom in the direction opposite this yellow monster, but she and Lacey just keep moving forward. Treats of any and all shapes and sizes and flavors! Ooo, and bully sticks and chewies. Toys are ok too, even though mom says we don't need any. Sheesh.

2) Have you seen Santa Paws this year?
Yep! Lacey and I saw him a month ago and we got our picture taken and it's on our Dogster pages.

3) Do you like snow, have you ever been in it?
I've been in snow and it is not fun! It sucks when it's just coming down like rain, or sometimes when there's a little bit on the sidewalks. When I was a younger pup we had snow that was almost as high as I was and that really sucked! Oh, but the worst is when it snows, mom wants to put a sweater or jacket on me, sheesh!!!

4) What do you want fur Christmas?

Me, Lacey, and mom were just out walking and we saw some big bright headlights and big swirly flashy lights at the other end of the apt complex. The air smelled funny too. We walked closer and the lights got brighter, they were attached to a few monster truck thingies that were the size of the yellow bus monster. I wouldn't let them mom and Lacey get too close cause those things scared me. Mom said fire trucks were ok to be scared of, she's scared of them too. Mom said that's probably why Lacey was howling earlier, she howls at sirens. We never did find out why the fire trucks were there and people were standing around, but the buildings are standing and it's not really near our place, so we think everything's ok. I never want to see those trucks again!

Mom just started taking us for walks in the morning before she goes to work. (And she's stopped taking us for an extra walk before dinner cause it's dark... like we can't see in the dark, sheesh. Anyways, safety first I guess, like I can't take on a bad guy....) Ok, so during these morning walks, I've encountered this big noisy yellow monster, it comes around the corner and goes past me and picks up kids, and I don't really like kids, so then it's this big monster with kids and I do not like that at all. I'm glad it goes away fast too.

Ok, so I can't really tell it's yellow, but mom says it is and I trust her.. or do I.. she makes me keep walking past the thing! And she talks about safety, what about my safety from the monster?!?!

Mom took me to the vet's this morning for a grooming, I don't know why, she always tells me how cute I am when I'm fuzzy. Sheesh. She also asked them to check out a little lump I have on my belly under my skin. Mom showed it to the office lady and she sprayed it with yellow - she highlighted me, BOL! It's like I have a yellow sun on my belly. Mom's worried cause Cupcake had a similar lump and it turned out to be the big "c," eep! But Cupcake is much older than I am, and the last lump I had was a fatty lump, although I'm not fat (I’m muscular!) so I don't know really what that means. BOL, I should ask the vet office lady to highlight my whole tummy so it means "belly rub right here please!"

Oh, yah, the lumps (there's more than one small one) are just fatty lumps. I am not fat! No matter what my wellness report said. I'm muscular and big boned and you can feel my ribs, so there. Although, if it gets mom to take me on more walks....

First my cousin Adeline had her fourth barkday on Monday! It's her very first birthday in her furever home with my pawsome grandpawrents. I even got to sniff on her barkday presents before mom mailed em out. Then on Wednesday mom took me and Lacey to the Bark Park! We haven't been in weeks cause it's been so hot and humid. Mom thought it'd be cool enough under the shade of the trees, and it was for like ten minutes, BOL. It was a sniffing and marking-tastic ten minutes though!

Today me and Lacey went to Wagging Tails, arooo! But tomorrow, tomorrow is gonna be the big day! My Barkday!!! I'm going to be eight (I'm four years and four days older than Addy!) and mom is freaking out about it, sheesh. Appawrently eight is senior for a dog. Whatever, I don't feel senior unless you mean I've been in the house the longest. And I'm already salt and pepper, BOL.

Oh yah, everypup - grab some cake! My pawsome pals Angus and Shaylee gave me a big ol cake today - thank you Angus and Shaylee!!! (p.s. Send PoP to their dad pawlease!)

1. BOL, everything about me is funny! Mom and my grandpawrents say I'm a big ham.

3. When I first get a chewie, like a pig's ear, I'll bark at it and jump around it in circles for a few minutes.
4. I do a hilarious head tilt! First one side, then the other, then I give up, BOL.
5. Oh, the funniest thing about me!! I quickly run away when someone farts!! It's that sound. But only the real thing, you can't trick me with similar noises.

First off, my angel sister Sydney was picked as Schnauzer of the Week for Schnauzers Rule! Mom and I have been reminiscing about her. *schnauzie sniffs*

Mom and her bf took me and Lacey to the dog park for a good long time! (It also took them a good long time on Sunday morning to get off their butts too!) We made all kinds of new doggy pals!! And I bested a big ol' rottie girl! I barked and barked and barked at her and she would "hide" under her dad's legs. Mom kept telling me that I was only 20 pounds, and she was a big 160 pounds and I was basically as big as her head and she could bap me with her paw and knock me over, but of course I didn't listen, sheesh. I knew this was a doggy girl I could finally "alpha" over, hee hee. Well, ok, her dad also said she was afraid of small dogs. Hey, I'm not a small dog! I'm bigger than her, at least in my head of course, BOL!!!

Lacey got all muddy, haha! Oh, wait, mom says I shouldn't laugh at her cause I sorta got peed on by a schnoodle, stup, er, weird dog *schnauzie grin* - but he didn't get anything on me, it just looked like he was doing stuff.

So yah, you know me and Lacey had a great time at the park cause we got all dirty and stinky!! (The baths in the sink when we got home were not so great though, grrrr! BOL)

That's what the vet said after doing way too much poking and prodding on me! I tried hiding under the chairs, but mom dragged me out so the vet could look at me. She didn't even protect me when I was in her lap, she handed me to the vet when they needed to look at me. Thanks mom, sheesh. The vet took me in the back and took some stuff outta my bump with a needle - owww! The vet said the fluid he got didn't have much in it, a few inflammatory cells but mostly it was "boring." So now mom's giving me some antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicines, which is fine by me cause she gives them to me in soft canned foods, which I love, YUM! The vet said mom should also give me a warm compress twice a day for 5 to 10 minutes - like I'm going to sit still for that long, BOL! The vet said that'll make my cyst do whatever it's going to do faster, like if it's going to go away, it'll go away faster. I'm ok with that cause mom will stop poking me, BOL.

And hey, I got some teeny tiny pieces of Chik Fil A waffle fries outta the trip, so it wasn't all that bad, BOL.

Me and Lacey had such a pawsome weekend! On Saturday, we went to our grandpawrent's house and got lots of love and treats, ran around the yard a lot, played with grandpaw and uncle joe, and didn't even bother Cupcake too much, BOL. And then on Sunday, what a day! Mom's bf came over and we all played, then we went to the Bark Park, then we went to mom's bf's pawrents house and they loved on us and even took some pictures. I like mom's bf's mom, she gave me lots of yummy treats! Lacey liked mom's bf's dad cause she sat and napped in his lap. Lacey and I got a ton of attention and playtime this weekend! Every weekend should be like this - got that mom?!? BOL!

The bad thing is mom's taking me to the vet today. Sheesh. Mom's bf found a big round lump on my back leg today, so mom says she wants to get it checked out. It doesn't bother me when mom touches it or anything, and I'm running around just fine. I don't need no stinking vet!

Thanks to everyone for my barkday wishes and presents!! I have some of the bestest pals! I had a pawsome barkday as always! We didn't get to go to the dog park cause it was raining, but one of mom's friends came over and played with me and Lacey so that drained some of our energy, BOL!

Me and Lacey got canned Merrick Turducken and "French Country Cafe" with duck for dinner - my faves that I don't get enough! Mom made me a bone-shaped cake with a candle, and mom and her friend "sang" to me (more like howled, BOL). We also had treats from Salty Paws and Puparazzi that mom got on vacation the other week. Mom also gave me "Doggie Stout" to drink but I didn't like it.

Ooo, and I got presents too! I say this every time, but I love love love unwrapping my presents! I got lots of treats and a little stuffed duck toy. My grandma also sent me a card, and I really enjoyed chewing the envelope, BOL. Mom wouldn't let me chew the card, sheesh. A very good barkday if I may say so myself, woof!!

Oh yah, and mom took me and Lacey to the dog park yesterday, and we had tons of fun!

I'll get mom to post barkday *and* dog park photos soon!

OMD it was so exciting!!!! Me and mom and Sydney used to go before we moved into our old house (miss you yard, BOL) and before Sydney got sick. Now that we're in an apt again, mom took me and Lacey and registered us at the Bark Park. We got to check it out today!!! OMD, the smells, the trees, it was PAWSOME!!

There was only one other small fuzzy dog when we got there, so Lacey and I got to run around and sniff and mark to our heart's content. Then a big lab showed up and he ran around and rolled in the mud, and then a big pit showed up and he ran around and rolled in the mud, and then the lab and pit chased each other around and got everyone kinda muddy. It was fun, BOL. Well, except for Lacey, who tried to bark and play with them, but she's kinda little so the pit and lab sorta jumped over her and got her all muddy. Now mom's cleaning her off with a wet towel, haha! BOL!

Mom says we can now go to the Bark Park anytime we want, woof woof!!

First I want to thank Milly for picking me as Schnauzer of the Week at Schnauzers Rule last week, and I also want to thank everypup for the pressies and rosettes and pmails! I had a *pawsome* week and had fun answering all your questions. It totally made up for mom packing and moving that week and thus not paying 100% attention to me. It's ok mom, my pup pals love me! :P

So we moved into an apartment this past weekend. No more yard *pout*. Our new place is right by the pet area though, so we get to see and bark to the other doggies right on our own level. We are getting LOTS more walks, and you know how Lacey and I love our walks, woof! And Oh My Dog, there are soooo many new doggie smells and pmails and friends to meet!!!!!!

All of our close neighbors have doggies too!! There are two rat terriers across the outside hall, a tiny Chihuahua above them, and a super cute lhasa/shih tzu mix named Lucy above us. Lacey and I got to meet Lucy the other morning, she is super sweet and friendly and playful, aroo! I liked her mom, I tried to jump on her to say hi, but my mom wouldn't let me jump cause my paws were muddy.. whatever, mom, spoiling my fun! Sheesh!

Mom said now that we don't have a yard anymore, she'll probably start taking us to the dog park again. Whee!! I loved going to the dog park!!

I miss my yard, but this might not be a bad move as long as mom keeps up the walks and her word to take us to the dog park.

Yesterday, Lacey, mom, grandma, and I went to the Paws for a Cause Festival and Dog Walk. Lacey and I had a ton of fun sniffing, marking, barking at all the people and doggies, and just mouthing off all around, BOL.

We were doing the walk with all the other doggies and their walkers, grandma was walking Lacey and mom was walking me. Mom and I went to a wading pool to get water, and next thing I know, a big doggie had a hold of me near my left front leg. He wouldn't let go! Eek!!! I could tell mom was calmly freaking out, and for sure I was! I was yelping, and the other doggie was grring. I don't know what I did, I just don't think he liked me, maybe I barked at him wrong. It was only for a few seconds but it seemed like longer. Anyways, the other doggie's walker got the doggie off of me, and suddenly mom and a bunch of other people were surrounding me, checking me out. They checked my leg and its movement, and I didn't yelp when they did that. They didn't see any puncture wounds or blood, whew. The other doggie's walker even stayed there to make sure I was ok - the doggie that got me was a rescue doggy, and its walker was nice and apologetic and made sure I was ok. I just have a few scratches and had some matted fur which mom cut out before she put medicine on my scratches. The doggie had really just gotten my fur - thank goodness for schnauzer skirts, whew!

So after I got the a-ok from the medical team and volunteers, mom and I collapsed on the grass and took a long rest. BOL I even rolled around on the grass and flopped over - mom took a pic of that of course! A volunteer took a picture of me too cause he thought I was cute just laying there on my back with my tongue hanging out, BOL. I was really hot and exhausted! Even though I could walk ok, I wanted to stop and rest so much that mom carried me for most of the rest of the walk. Nah, I'm not spoiled, BOL.

What a day!

Oh yah, someone forgot to tell mom that band-aids hurt when you pull them off of doggies too, sheesh!

My girlpup Scarlet went to Rainbow Bridge last night. Mom told me the sad news last night, and she said Sydney would be there to greet her and show her around Rainbow Bridge. So my sister and my girlpup will finally get to meet. I hope Sydney tells Scarlet only the good stuff.

Scarlet's mom and my mom set me and Scarlet up when they first met; they thought we'd make a lovely couple cause we both have one ear up and one ear down, only the opposite ears of the other one. Scarlet and I sent each other cards, messages, and pawresents. She was the best girlpup a boypup could ever have, and mom and I are really going to miss her. :( Not nearly as much as I'm sure her mom, mom's mom, and fursiblings are going to miss her.

Pawlease send my sweet angel Scarlet and her family love. Angel pups, can you pawlease show Scarlet your favorite places at the Bridge, the sunniest, warmest spots for relaxing, and where she can find the softest, cuddliest pillows and blankets.

Mom's keeping me and Lacey in one room during the day now, and she says she's going to have to do this for a while. Halp! Mom says it's cause she's selling our house and she can't have me and Lacey bothering people, or worse yet, running out the front door when people come in. Ok, I can see her point on that last one.... But still, we love to say hi to people! Why just last week, mom put us in her bedroom for when the realtor came by to take pics of the house, and Lacey really wanted to say hi (we like the realtor lady a lot!), so she knocked the gate down. Then realtor moved the gate so I could get out, and the second she sat down, I jumped right on her lap. Woof!

Also, how are we supposed to protect the house from all these people who might be walking tho it if we're trapped in one measly room?!?

Hi everypup! It's been a while since me or Lacey wrote a diary entry. We've both been so busy this year teaching our foster siblings, Emmy and Charlie, how to behave, or rather, not behave, BOL! After being with us for a few days, they went from quiet dogs to typical pawsome schnauzer barking machines, woof woof!!

We're in "jail" for the second day in a row today - mom says something about a guy doing work our the house and we'd get in his way. Sheesh, she knows us so well, BOL! As long as he doesn't touch my toys, I guess it's ok. Things have been changing at our house too, the carpet's gone, furniture is moved, there's boxes of stuff here and there.... I've seen this before, back when me and mom moved from my condo to the house. I think I know what's going on, but it still weirds me out. On the plus side, my grandpawrents have been over lots of weekends to help with whatever this house stuff is, so me and Lacey have gotten tons more love and attention, arooo! Cupcake has come over with them a couple times too, and we just love her!

Mom says that cause we've been in "jail" that she'll take us for extra long walks and car rides this weekend. Bwahahaha, she is such a sucker!

Hi Santa Paws!

Hi Santa Paws!

Do you remember me from all the pictures I've taken with you?!? I was a very good boy every time and sat on your lap all nice and didn't jump on you or anything!

I have been the best boy this year!! Mom was always telling me, and she still does all the time, how happy I make her and how much I mean to her, so that counts for a lot, right? It definitely makes up for the scratches I've given her from jumping on her with excitement that she's home and from pawing at her to get outta bed and play with me. Speaking of, I'm a good boy cause I don't hog mom's bed when she's trying to sleep, like Lacey does, sheesh. I'm a good boy and sleep in my own beds (one of which is mom's papasan chair, but she's not using it then so I can). Sometimes I even let mom sleep in on the weekends, like til 7am and everything!

I'm also a good security guard cause I'll bark at stuff outside too, and I don't bark at every little thing like Lacy does. (Cry wolf much Lacey sheesh! BOL!) When people come over to the house, or when mom and I go to someone else's house, I jump in mom's lap to protect her and let everyone else know to stay away!! I am very protective of my mommy cause I love her so much and she loves me so so much.

I'm also a good boy cause I'm there for my mom when she gets sad. She's been sad a lot since my sister Sydney joined you and became an angel. When mom's sad, I let her cry into my fur, I'll give her kisses, I make her laugh. I even have photographic evidence of this on Sydney's Dogster page.

I make everyone laugh and bring lots of happiness to my family.

Here's what I would like for Christmas:

I want mom to give me that cozy cave bed I know she's hiding!

I would like every homeless doggy (and kitty too, sheesh!) to have a home. Just not my home cause mom has brought in enough "fosters" that take her attention away from me.

I want puppy mills shut down and animal abuse and dog fighting to stop forever!

I want my girlfriend Scarlet to be all better and healthy!!!!! I wish her family lots of love cause they're pawsome persons.

I would like chewies for every day! I'm not picky about what kind. If that's too much weight for your sleigh, could you give me the power to open doors and bags so I can get into the treat pantry and get treats whenever I want? Thanks!

Also, mom said she's getting me a fleece sweater like Lacey has. I don't want one, so if you could please give it to another cold doggy about my size, I'd really appawreciate it and so would that cold doggy.

To Lexie and Uno - my grandpaw wants a schnauzer (cause of me and Lacey!), so if Santa grants your wishes, one or both of your brothers can live with him!

Woof woof!

Love,
Shakespeare

I was tagged by Jasmine, Charley, and Vanilla Schnoodle!

It's THANKSGIVING TAG!!!!

Here are the rules:
Because it’s Thanksgiving time, there is a change to the rules. Each player needs to tell seven special things they are thankful for. Tagged dogs must post the rules in their diary and their 7 things. Then choose 7 pups to tag and list their names. Let them know by pawmail or rosette that they have been tagged and to read your diary for the instructions on how to play.

Seven Things I’m Thankful For:

1. I'm thankful that my pals tagged me, BOL! Really tho, I'm thankful for all my pals!! Woof!
2. I am thankful that I got to pick such a great mom, and she didn't even make me say that.
3. I am thankful for my grandpawrents and uncle Joey, who love and spoil me almost as much as my mom.
4. I am thankful that my sister Sydney is no longer in pain and can run free now.
5. I am thankful for my sister Lacey.
6. I am thankful for TREATS!
7. I am thankful for WALKS! Now mom, let's go on one, aroooo!

I was tagged again! I must be so loved, BOL. This time I was tagged by Sassy, Whitney, Buddy Grau, and T-Bone.

Here are the rules of this dogster game of "tag" in case you've never gotten a chance to play. When you are tagged, you post 7 random facts about yourself, compose a "new DIARY entry" along with the rules and put them in your own DIARY. Then you pick 7 furs (kitties or doggies) to tag but make sure you tell them... a simple p-mail will do fine, or a rosette to tell them, but you must let them know that they have been tagged. Post their names also in your DIARY.

Here are 7 random facts about myself:

1. When mom is eating, I either sit right below her or as close to her as possible in case she drops something!
2. Mom calls me the "zeta dog", whatever that means, BOL.
3. I love to roll around in the grass, esp. when mom is outside and not paying attention to me.
4. I jump into the car and go directly to the driver's seat! Then mom tells me I don't have my driver's license and to move to the passenger seat. Sheesh!
5. I know how to ham it up for the camera!
6. As I've gotten older, my fur's become more salt than pepper.
7. I'll only catch the tennis ball outside once or twice, then I find better things to do, like sniff or bark.

I'll let Lacey pick who we tag!

Thanks to all my GREAT pals, new and "old", for the birthday wishes, rosettes and, wow, all the bones (yum!)!!! I might even share my leftover frosty paws with you, hee hee hee.

My barkday was pawsome as always! I have the bestest mom! Well except that this morning she asked me if I was "hung over", whatever that means, but I don't think it was meant to be nice, BOL.

So for my barkday yesterday, mom took me on our annual pet stores in the area trip, which I loved as always cause I get to bark and sniff and say hi and get treats! We went to this new pet boutique called Femmes and Fidos and the owner lady was so nice! She gave me pets and ear scratches and made me a treat platter complete with pupcakes!

Mom made frosty paws! She didn't have any small cups, so she used the storage containers she already had - and I got the biggest one of course, BOL!

Mom gave me a new cell phone! (It's only a stuffed toy, don't worry, hee hee.) Grandma got my *own* Bobo!! Yea! She also got me a stuffed gorilla with a grass skirt and bikini top, BOL! She told mom it's my new date, sheesh grandma! Ooo, and she also got me a mat that's full of squeakers! Squeak squeak! Mom got me more presents too, but I was actually so worn out that I didn't even finish opening them - imagine that! I don't know what got into me.. oh wait, yah, too much excitement and too many treats! BOL!

Me n Lacey n Sydney were so full of treats and pupcakes and sleepy from all the pawcitement that none of us finished our frosty paws. Sydney even fell asleep on hers, BOL!

I'll get mom to post photos and videos when she gets home from work. And then we'll have pawty part two so I can finish opening my presents, woof! No, wait, presents first, then photos!

My pawsome friend Duncan tagged me!

Here are the rules:

Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Dogs who are tagged, need to post in their Diary the rules & their 7 pawsome facts. Then choose 7 dogs to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to bark them a pmail that they have been tagged and to read your Diary, or, send them a fun Rosette announcing they've been Tagged!

So here are 7 fun facts about Shakespeare....

1. When I was a pup, both my ears were down. No, really!

2. I love to dig in the backyard.

3. I took Beginning Agility class at Petsmart. But I wouldn't jump over the jumps, so there went mom's hopes of an agility star, BOL.

4. I'm a mama's boy and like my pal Duncan, I am mom's best boy! (Ok, so I'm the only boy!)

5. My favorite place to sleep is the papsan chair.

6. If you're not paying attention to me, I'll bap you in the face with my paw!!! My favorite time to do this is in the morning when mom and Sydney won't get up!

7. I roll around in any spot that any male human has sat in. (Hey, I'm the only boy!)

Now I tag the next 7 pups!

Mom was up later than usual on Tuesday night so I was dying to go outside to see what doggies were up and taking about that time of night, so of course I barked and pleaded and mom let me n Lacey outside. We ran around and excitedly told the other doggies that we were up past our bedtime. I was at the back of the yard when I saw there was a space between the fence and the gate, and I'd never been to visit the neighbors back there - they have a really big house and a big front yard, and I had to check it out.

So a few minutes after that, I think I hear mom calling me n Lacey, but there were so many good new smells back here! Mom's yelling my name and "Come", which I know but I only do when there are treats involved. (Like all the other words I know, BOL.) But wait, I sniff into the air and I smell treats! I hear mom say "Come" again, so I run and run across the big yard and run right up to mom, who gives me the treat, yum! But then I sense that she's upset and she's hugging me and I sorta think I may have done something wrong by visiting the neighbors. She closed the gate and put a big stick in front of it too, so I don't think I'll get to explore that part of my neighborhood again.

Mom took me inside and gave me and my sisters all treats. Mom had a heart to heart talk with me in the hallway. She told me how much she loves me and how I'm her baby (sheesh, duh!) and to never ever leave my yard again, and that's why I'm always on a leash when I am out of the yard (so that explains it!).

We have mice in our house! Mom's really freaked out and setting traps and putting food and treats in containers, but, like the good terrier I am, I'm kinda wound up about it. Last night I showed mom where a mousie hole was - I was pawing at this big pillow that's against the wall in the living room, I needed mom to move it so I could get to the darn mouse or mousies... but by time she moved it, the mousies were gone, altho they'd left behind some evidence.... Mom also fussed at us doggies cause there was a lone piece of kibble there and she wanted to know how it ended up there.. like I'm gonna know, sheesh! Anyways, mom found that the round cable hole had been chewed out so mousies could fit through, and she boarded it up. So now, sheesh, how am I gonna be able to stake that corner out and get my mouse-catching schnauzer on?!? I work better than any trap she's set, woof woof!

Oh yah, and after the hole discovery, mom remembered the other day when I was pawing near my crate.. she was a dummy and didn't get what I was trying to tell her at all, sheesh.. so last night she checked out that area and sure enough, the mice had left evidence there, but not a lot cause I scared them off, BOL.... But then mom fussed at me not to leave treat crumbs in my crate, like I'd ever do that, arruuf!

She was proud of me after the fact though. Can you blame her?!? Woof woof!

Sheesh, mom's been taking Lacey all over and I'm so mad, doesn't she know she's my mom first and Lacey can just stay outside for all I care! *phhhbbbttt* Ok, I do like her, we play and watch for squirrels together, but I don't like her taking attention away from me! Although I gotta say that she's a good student, I've been teaching her how to outsmart mom and get away with being a brat, just like I do, er, I mean, used to do. Mom says she's teaching Lacey how to behave just like me and that Lacey's going to class just like I used to. I bet she's nowhere near as good as me tho!!! Actually I guess Lacey learning is ok, but only if she does it at home cause then I get treats too cause I am so smart and know everything and knew everything first! When mom tries to get Lacey to do a Down, well, I know how to do a really good Down, so I get to show off and get treats. Mom's starting to give us hot dogs and boy do I love hot dogs!

Happy Fifth Barkday to ME!!!!

I gotta sneak on mom's puter so I can tell everyone it's my birthday today!!! AROOOOO!!! This morning mom wished me Happy Birthday and said I'd get a CAKE! and all my PRESENTS!! later today when she gets home from work. I think she should have just taken the day off to play with me, but I guess she has to pay for my presents somehow. Woof!

Yesterday she took me on our annual "visit all the pet stores in the area" trip. I barked and marked my territory all over yesterday, woof! First we went to Care A Lot, where I barked hellos to everyone of course, and mom picked up food for my sister Sydney and lots of yummy chewies for me - which I couldn't have, sheesh! I gotta wait until later. I left my mark in several places there, mom was embarrassed but sheesh, mom, a boy dog's gotta do what a boy dog's gotta do!

Then we went to Petsmart where I got a free birthday toy!! Thanks Petsmart! I picked out a fluffy porcupine, just like one I had when I was a puppy that mom lost. Sheesh! She made me try to pick more expensive ones cause it was a free toy, but I just wanted that porcupine! I also barked hi to everyone and it echoed all over so even people across the store got my greetings. Woof!!! Oh! And I made a mini schnauzer friend!

After that we went to Petco, where once again I barked very loud hellos to everyone. I loved those little hamsters and rats! Arooo! I barked like crazy at 'em, and stood up on my hind legs to get a better view (mom helped). Ooo, then mom picked some treats from their Treat Bar and I got to eat those on the way home. Aroooo!!!!!

I can't wait to get my cake and my new toys and all those yummies mom got me yesterday!!!

My mom fosters for her schnauzer group, so sometimes I get a playmate for a few weeks. But this time my playmate gets to stay! I'm so excited! Lacey is so much fun! We play and play and run and chase and tug and play and wrestle! So we have lots of fun and my other sister Sydney gets more nap time - mom used to fuss at me for bugging her when I wanted to play. But now I can bug my other sister to play with me and she will actually play! Arooo!!!
Whew, I'm all worn out this week! My mom's fostering another mini schnauzer, this girl's name is Lady and she's four, which is just my age! She was kinda scared and shy at first, she wouldn't stop following my mom around (sheesh!). But after a few days, she settled right in. My mom and I have been showing her how to play. She's a lot of fun to play with! We'll play tug o war and chase each other around. She's pretty cool, woof woof! My mom even made a video of the first time we really played.

She is a pretty good foster sis, but I hope she finds a home soon cause I want my mom all to myself again, woof woof!!

Sheesh! It's been raining since Friday and mom hasn't taken me for a walk since Saturday. It's been forever! But today we finally got to take a nice long walk around my, I mean, our neighborhood. I got to mark everything again, woof woof! I met three new doggies too - two nice medium black doggies and a fuzzy weiner doggy. The daschund, as my mom called it, rolled right over for a belly rub! Sheesh! Ooooo!! I also almost got to chase the duckies that were in my front yard the other day! Mom made a stupid video of it - you can hear me n Sydney barking cause we wanted to go out and I wanted to chase them. Sheesh. Anyways, today I almost did! But I'm on this stupid leash and couldn't get to em. I didn't even have to take a break on this walk cause I was so ready to go and full of energy. It's time for a nap now though, woof!

Mom posted some vacation photos of me, Sydney, and Cupcake. Mine are from Yappy Hour at the Outer Barks, which is a really neat place! Sydney and Cupcake's are from the deck on the house we stayed at, those silly girls both love sunbathing. We love going to the NC Outer Banks cause it's so dog-friendly. I still gotta get mom to write about our adventures.

Ok, so get a load of this! Mom tells me there's this AKC Dog Show close to us next weekend - but she says she can't bring Sydney or me! We're not registered or showable or something. What's the woof is up with that?!? I'm an AKC registered doggy and she sure loves to show us off everywhere else! I mean, look at how cute I am! I'm really leery about this, maybe some other doggies will show off to her and then there will be all kinds of crazy doggies running around the house. Sheesh! She's going to a *DOG SHOW* without showing off her own dogs!

On the other hand, I get to see my grandma today and I lurve my grandma! She's great for treats and love and attention, my favorite things besides walks and playing and running and barking. And my mom says my Uncle Joey, her human brother, will be staying with us for a while. I LOVE my Uncle Joey! He is so much fun! He loves to play with me and we can play for hours! Playing is my favorite thing besides treats and love and attention walks and running and barking.

There's another dog at my house again, sheesh! Her name is Prissy and she's small like Sydney and her hair is really long. She keeps barking and barking and trying to chase me around and getting me to chase her, she won't leave me alone! I mean, I am handsome and all so I don't blame her. And I do like playing with her, we'll chase each other around and we'll bark at each other and play tug o war. But sheesh, let me cuddle with my mom in some peace! And mom, put down the camera and pet me!!!

You can see a video of me and Prissy playing, and Sydney being smart and alpha, at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBfYYekPQMw . Sydney got up and wandered around - she kept telling us to knock it off, then she made them get out of her way so she could get back to her beauty sleep.

Mom says Prissy is going to her foster home on Saturday. I'm gonna miss her but it'll be good to have mom all to myself again!

Woof woof!! It's warm outside and you know what that means?!? Walks every day!! Mom and I love to walk around our neighborhood. She likes seeing all the nice houses and yards and getting near the water - which she can only see through people's barkyards. She says we'll walk to the beach soon, we're a mile away I think. But I like reading the pawmail on all the trees and lightpoles and bushes. There's a lot going on! Sometimes we run into this westie and shih tzu, they're my size and really nice. I also say hi to the lab and shepard mix on the corner, and the shelties and terrier mixes a couple streets over. I wonder why they're left outside though? I love being outside, but I couldn't imagine not getting to come in and snuggle with my mom.

Oh! And mom put a birdfeeder in the backyard so almost every time I go out, I can ruuuuunnnnnn to the back part of the yard and chase them all away! Mom tells me I can't fly, but what does she know? BOL!

Oooo! Gotta go bark at the birds out front!!

Sheesh! You guys! There's another boy doggy in my house! My mom brought him here the other day and said he's only going to stay for a few weeks, but that's still too long in my book. It's my house (ok, it's Sydney's) and my mom! This other doggy, his name is Scotty, he's following my mom around and climbing into her lap and sitting with her on the couch and she's letting him! She's even petting him, scratching his belly, hugging him, and giving him kisses. I'm the only one who should get those things! Ok, and Sydney too, she's cool cause she doesn't demand too much attention from mom. But this new guy, he's all over the place, sheesh! He won't even play chase the cat with me! I bark and bark at him and he won't even bark back! What's that all about?!? He hasn't even chased me yet or anything. He's all "behaved" and "sweet" whatever that means. She kept calling and calling for me to come inside.. she even used the magic word treat.. but that didn't fool me, I stayed right outside. Parked my butt in one spot and wouldn't move. Then when I saw her walking towards me, I ran further back, ha ha ha ha! She won't get me! But of couse that meany picked me up (the indignity, sheesh!!) and carried me inside. I even grred at her but she told me not to talk back to her, like that's gonna stop me, sheesh! So I ended up having to go inside.. I just can't win sometimes!

Last night I got to go with mom to the store to buy Sydney's canned food - Syd eats it cause she only has half of her teeth, but sometimes she also eats my Wellness kibble.. hey, mom, wait a sec.. Oh, yah, I get a scoop of canned too. Okay. Anyways, so me n mom went to the store and she let me pick out some of my birthday presents!! She let me sniff at lots of treats and chewies, and I licked one so she had to buy it, haha! She kept trying to get me to pick out a toy or two, but I was more interested in all the yummy treats! I saw her get a couple toys but don't tell her I saw, k? I wanted the treats while she was buying them at the counter, but she said I had to wait until Sunday, sheesh! But then we went to chik-fil-a drive through and they gave me a milkbone, so I still got a treat even tho it's not my birthday.. Yet.

I'm so mad! My humom took me to the dreaded groomer's on Saturday. And he shaved me!!! Said I was too matted, sheesh mom, don'tcha know that after I roll around in the grass and mud you're supposed to brush me out? So what if I don't wanna sit still while you do it? I'm a schnauzer, I can't stay still! It's not in my nature! Aroooo! Anyways, I look silly in my handsome way and I am much cooler. My humom better start brushing me better when my hair starts growin back.

Oh yah, and the groomer is such a tattletale!! He told my humom that I had an total attitude problem this time. Sheesh, again, hello, schnauzer here! I can only be good for so long! My humom said cause I was a brat that I was grounded, but I know she can't do that cause I gotta do my doggy business outside. Haha!

I overheard the groomer and my humom sayin that even though I'm usually really good (of course!), that I had more attitude this time cause we just moved into our new house, like that might be makin me act up. But I was ok when me n mom moved into our last place. I dunno, what do you doggies think? How do you act when you move into a new house?

Or you can just come visit and give me all your attention all the time, woof woof! Ooo, I wonder what my humom has planned this year? Last year we spent all day at the dog park and I got a doggy safe cake and lots of presents. Maybe this year I can have a party in my backyard, that would be fun! I gotta go keep bugging my humom about this.....

I ran around my yard alllll weekend, I love it! My humom played ball with me a lot (I like it when her email is screwed up, more play time for me!). Sometimes uncle bob would stop working long enough to toss the ball too. My grandparents and Cupcake came over on Sat and so me n Cupcake got to run around the yard together. Oooo, I got in touch with my inner guard dog cause I got to chase the neighbor's kitty cat outta *my* yard. Aroooo!!

No more leashes, just lots of running free and sniffing and running and marking up the place (you know, gotta do what a boy's gotta do)! I love my yard so much!! When my humom first let me outside, I ran so fast straight across it, I ran around the back and the side, and wow, it's so much fun! I love to run run run! When I'm not bugging my humom or sister or dad or the cat (bark!) I just hang out by the door cause I want to go outside.. I love being outside, arooooo! I love being free and running and I pout whenever mom wants me to go inside, geez, mom, what'd ya get the yard for if I can't be in it all the time?!?! Ooo, maybe soon my squirrel and bird enemies will show up and I can chase them around too, aroooo!

My humom says she's daddy's parent's doggy, like Cupcake is my parent's doggy.. so does that make Misty my cousin too? Misty has a great big yard and she's a big dog too, like three times my size. But she's really sweet and followed me around the yard and made sure I was doing ok. Like, sheesh, I'm a schnauzer, I can bark anything away if it bugs me, arrooooo! I had lots of fun tho cause I got to run around a yard and get treats and meet new people and make a new doggy friend.

Woof woof!! I love love love Christmastime! This year I got to see my Uncle Joey and my Uncle Benny and my grandma and grandpaw and Cupcake and I got lots of attention and love and treats.. I got to sit on everyone's lap a million times too! Oooo, and I got about a million presents! I lost count cause I was too busy playing with the wrapping paper. I love that stuff!

When we got to my grandma and grandpaw's house, I knew exactly where the tree was so I immediately ran to it and grabbed a present and ran into the living room where everyone was! I started to unwrap it but then I decided to go say hi to Cupcake and then my gramdma and when I looked back the present was right back under the tree. But I got to open it after a yummy breakfast. I got to open lots and lots more, I got lots of cool squeaky toys, hee hee, I'm driving mom crazy!
