I have an absolutely unreal collection of toys that squeak and make sounds like actual prey animals, Nylabones, Kongs, Loofah dogs, tug ropes, and balls for playing catch. But I don't care about a single one, which somehow doesn't keep my mom from buying more.

Since the nasty weather has prevented our usual, long walks, my mom ordered some puzzle toys to help keep me engaged while she is at work. There's a disk made out of some composite material where mom stashes some kibble and then I have to find it. There's also a plastic ball a couple of holes in it, so that if I roll it just right with my nose or a paw, treats come tumbling out!

I heard her say she spent kind of a lot of money on these silly contraptions, but I could really care less about them, even when I'm hungry in between meals or when she tries to help me open them up. Silly mom!

Hey, all. It's pretty cold here in Michigan and there's lots of snow on the ground. For some reason, I'm losing all of this fur in big clumps. Mom keeps saying I'm blowing my coat, whatever that means, and I also hear lots of cursing and vacuuming. Guess I'm making quite a mess. It seems strange that I appear to be losing my winter coat...in the middle of winter. Does anyone know what that's all about?
