"The first time I ever played with another puppy! Mom can't look at his picture without laughing. Look at the SMILE on our faces!! This is for Pepper :)"
So...there I was at home (alone...again....) on my couch; dreaming of the pigs ears tucked away in the garage when suddenly I heard mom's car pull up. She came in, leashed me up and took me in the car. "Where we going?" I happy panted at her. "Park" she said. "WEeeeeeeeeee. I love the park". So...we got to the park (Not the usual one she takes me to) and went for a little walk. Next thing I know, I am surrounded by men. They're all like touching me and everything. Mom is telling me to spin and touch and down and throwing treats in my mouth. It was a little overwhelming but I was behaving like a good girl. Suddenly, I turned around and there was my Lori! She was at the park too! I barrelled into her and made my happy squeek noises. Turns out she brought the pack of men along with her. Something about it being an "off grounds trip" from where she works. All the men were saying "wow, Deb's dog really knows and likes Lori". BOL!!!!! They had a little bonfire going and I got to taste a schnibble of a s'more. I got more graham cracker and marshmallow than chocolate of course (ok..so NO chocolate) but they sure were good. Some of the boys were playing football so I watched a little of that. I sat on the picnic table and let some of the others pet me. I went in the lake (and now I stink like mucky lake water). Lori walked me and mom back to our car and we left. Huh? Lori stayed at the park with the men! I screamed the whole way home. I really hate when she doesn't come in the car with us. We got home and mom put me back in my basement, gave me some treats and ran back to work. That was an especially fun and unexpected visit!
So there I was, hanging out on my couch waiting for mom to come home from work when suddenly I heard it. A truck. A loud truck pulled into my driveway. I barked my fool head off. I listened. The truck left. My fur slowly settled back down and I jumped back onto my couch. I sighed. As I drifted off to sleep, I suddenly smelled something delicious. I went to the door; I sniffed. The smell was coming from outside. Crap...I was just going to have to wait for mom to come home. She finally comes home and lets me out. I dance around the boxes. There are 2 boxes at my door. Inside each box is 25 of those ginormous pigs ears that my pal Riley refers to as "elephant ears". My mom had ordered me one box but here were 2! We opened one box and I quickly took one; thank ya very much. Mom said "the other box is from your sidekick Riley". I looked up from my munching. "Really?" I said, "that is so nice!" Mom put both boxes in the garage so I now have 50 pigs ears (elephant ears) in my garage!! How lucky can one dog get? I told mom we have to put some away so that when Riley comes to visit me at my lakehouse, we can lay on the balcony and chew away while we wait for Louie to show up and teach Riley his choreographed routine.
