Arrival Story:
Darby belongs to close friends of mine who live a couple miles away. I dogsit Darby whenever her family goes out of town. They were mourning the loss of their old pooch and wanted a new friend for their young son. They purchased Darby from a local breeder. She is the last living member of her litter. Her two brothers lived to be old Dals, too.

Bio:
Darby's slowing down in her old age. She's over 13 and the vet says she's on borrowed time. She can't see well; she can't hear well. She has arthritis and is very forgetful these days. I've had to introduce her pawrents to the world of doggie nursing and incontinence. She survived a serious collision with a car when she was about 18 months old; she's had a limp ever since, which has become more pronounced as she's aged. She walks around on 3 legs, now. Her pawrents expect that this will be her last summer. Darby's body finally shut down. She was PTS on August 22nd, 2008.

RIP, Darby
1/5/95-8/22/08
