Arrival Story:
My family had a cocker spaniel that we were very very close to that had recently passed away..she was a big part of my life. One day I was with my friend at the SPCA and saw a cocker spaniel that looked exactly like Lady, our cocker spaniel that passed away, when she was a puppy. I was looking for a dog for my own so I asked them if I could visit with her. She was in the back but as I was walking towards her cage the guy that worked there told me that she was not available, but there are other dogs that are. As I approached her, I saw that the puppies name was "Angel". As soon as I looked in her eyes I felt that it was Lady telling me it was okay for me to get another dog. A few days later I went back, and was shown a "special case" litter of puppies that weren't being shown to the general public. I then fell in LOVE at first site with a 3 week old pup who was then named "Lilly". I wasn't able to take her home until she was 2 months but I visited her often. My best friend would be taking home her brother "Spike". I decided to change her name from Lilly because it sounded too much like Lady. When she was little she looked just like a little deer, so I named her Bambi, and her brother "Spike" became Thumper.
Bio:
Bambi's mom was a miniature poodle named Lilo. The have no idea who the father was, except the small glimpse that they got. He was described as a "medium black dog" and on Bambi's papers the shelter wrote her down as a cock-poo (cocker spaniel/poodle). Now that she is older she looks sooo much like a Labradoodle. Though she does has a lot of other traits as other poodle mixes, I am unsure of what exactly she is. All I know is that she is special, oh so cute, and the best dog I could ask for!
