Arrival Story:
I was wanting a puppy, but I still lived with my parents and didn't think my dad would let me have a dog. I finally wore him down. I couldn't decide what kind of dog I wanted, but I thought I wanted a purebred. Well, I looked at the humane society, just for the heck of it. I didn't see any dogs I liked so I decided to leave. I was standing in one of the puppy rooms waiting to get out the door (lots of people there) when I heard a "thump thump thump." I looked and hidden way back in the corner of her cage was the cutest little dachshund mix ever! I talked to the people who worked there and apparently her sister had just been adopted, leaving her all alone. I took her out and held her and it was love at first sight. I adopted her and she turned out to be the best dog ever!!
Bio:
Allie was born in May 2000 to a long haired dachshund show dog. She gotten out and came home full of puppies. We don't know who her daddy was...or WHAT he was. When she and her siblings were born, her owner was going to put them all to sleep because they raised purebred showdogs and had no use for some accident mutt puppies, but the vet asked to put them down asked if he could contact the humane society instead of putting them all down, and the owner agreed. Now she lives with me!

Dear Diary,
This has been an ok week. I got used to sleeping in since mommy was home for Christmas and New Years, but now she is back at work. That means she wakes me up at the crack of dawn to go potty. Then she drops me of with my grammy to play with her, Flurry, and my great-grandparents. They live with us right now. I like having them here. They pamper me and give me all the petting and treats I want! They also let me play outside whenever I want to go! My mommy and grammy let me play outside too, but sometimes they won't let me if I just came inside.
Today, I chased some birds and ran the fence with Barley the whippet and the two golden retrievers behind my territory. They're pretty fun dogs. My number one friend is Flurry though.
Well, mommy just got home from work, so I'm going to watch her eat dinner and hopefully get some scraps, then I'll get in her lap and snooze a while.
